Thanks honey
Today, I was feeling really down, so I texted my boyfriend and asked him to tell me why he loves me, thinking he would cheer me up. His response? "Don't bug me with this stupid shit anymore. You always ask such dumb questions." FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I told my boyfriend I loved him. His response? "Is that why you have been so clingy and annoying lately?" FML
Today, my boyfriend called and asked me why I love him. I told him because he's always there for me and continues to put up with my bipolar disorder. He promptly said "not anymore" and hung up. FML
Today, I told my boyfriend that I love him. He replied by telling me to fuck off. FML
Today, I was texting my boyfriend when he said, "Hold up." Thinking it'd be funny, I ran and grabbed my copy of the movie Up, and took a picture of me holding it and sent it to him. He replied, "Getting real tired of your shit." Then dumped me for my "dumb taste in humor." FML
Today, my boyfriend and I were in bed and I asked him why he was with me. His answer was, "Well, the last girl I dated was really smart and she always made me feel dumb, so I decided to switch things up a bit. You make me feel like a genius, babe." FML
Today, after a hard day's work and emotional argument with my best friend, I sent my boyfriend a text telling him how much I loved him and cherished him in the hopes he would cheer me up with a romantic reply. He said "Sorry, I've only got 8 texts left." FML
Today, the guy I like took 15 hours to respond to my text. When I asked him why he took so long to respond, he said, “Chill, I’m not your boyfriend or anything, why are you asking me questions like that?” FML
Today, I got in a fight with my boyfriend. I sent him a long message pouring my heart out about how hurt I am that he constantly ignores me or responds to almost everything I say in monosyllables. He texted back "ok". FML
Today, my boyfriend came over and dropped off my phone, which I'd left at his place the night before. He immediately left in a sulk. As I looked through my texts, I discovered he was only so moody because I hadn't answered any of his calls or messages. I'm dating an idiot. FML
Today, I sent my boyfriend a long and heartfelt message. He responded with "tl; dr". FML

You picked the wrong boyfriend. Though, if you just texted and said "Why do you love me?" without any explanation, that would piss anyone off.

#98, would you like me to degrade you over your caveman attitude and pre-school grammatical abilities instead? It doesn't sound like you're very happy in your relationship, from the way you talk about your girlfriend, and women in general. Maybe you're so bitter about it that you have to come on the internet and act like a tough guy to make yourself feel like a real man? Sad.

#87 - posion29: Do you even know the meaning of the word "misogynistic"? Hint: Don't use words when you don't know how to use them appropriately. Just because men don't bleed from the ******, doesn't mean we can't relate to what pain is. Have you ever had your appendics rupture? I have. Apparently its 3 times worse than the most chronic PMS pain, so I guess I'm one of those few guys who can say a lot of women are mellow dramatic when it comes to PMS. Guys have issues, but they are different. Not any better or worse. "mean, why don't you just go ahead and say childbirth isn't a big deal." You know, to shove words into someones mouth is the lowest form of debate. In reply to the original post: YDI. From the sounds of it, you have been sending many ego-stroking messages to your boyfriend. Any guy will get annoyed if you asked him "Tell me why you love me", without putting it into context. He didn't know you were having a bad day. Even when you are having a bad day, its really weak to try to get your ego stroked for comfort.

First of all-YDI. As a woman, I hate chicks who pull this kind of shit on their boyfriends. His response tells me that you ask him insecure questions like this all the time. You sound like the kind who asks "does this make me look fat?" Besides, how do you expect someone to answer that question? There's no real way to. You're just asking him to describe you in a nice light and make shit up, but just because someone has nice qualities it doesn't mean that they love them. People love total shitbags all the time. Unless you wanted to ask about the chemical effects on the brain that causes the feeling we call love and all that. I'm behind that. Man, if you wanted a philosophical debate and he turned you down, that would suck.

Today, I was at work feeling pretty good about life. Out of nowhere I got a text from my gf asking "Why do you love me?" We'd just had a great week together, I thought we'd been making good progress in our relationship and were beyond all that. FML

I don't know if I were a guy, I'd get annoyed having someone ask me "why do you love me?" I just think needing constant reassurance shows desperation and that you're unsure of your relationship. I wonder if this is an often occurrence.

You deserved it, i mean you did it all through a ******* text! you cant show emotion or concern via a text message noob! plus that shit does get old and annoying really fast

This is a terrible question to ask your boyfriend because it can carry the implication that you don't believe he loves you and would understandably be really annoying to him. On the other hand "tell me some things that you like about me" is something I would respond to favorably if it was coupled with "I'm feeling very down and could use a cheer-up."

Unless he's asked you to stop before, there's no need for him calling what you say "stupid shit", especially when you feel like you need him. Even if he's not an ass, you two don't seem to be a good fit if you need him to lean on sometimes but he totally blows you off. But also, get out of the habit of being insecure. It's not a good one, and it can be rather annoying. Next time try telling him you feel down, and could use some cheering up. It's more direct, less open-ended, and you're far more likely to get the help you need. =)

And just because guys don't have periods, doesn't mean they can't sympathize or have pain. It is annoying as hell when girls bitch and moan about their cramps. I understand some get really bad (I used to throw up from the pain) but I hate when girls use it has an excuse for everything.
