Rock on, dude

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I was at the mall with some friends. In the food court we passed by this creepy pervert feeling up a woman. I take a closer look and realize with horror that the guy is my dad in sunglasses and a hat. The lady he was with was not my mom. FML
Today, my dad walked in to the arena where I was watching a hockey game with my boyfriend and his friends. My dad was wearing a crazy grey mohawk wig/hat. Meanwhile, my boyfriend just finished telling me how embarassing it would be to be that guy's kid. FML
Today, I took the train to visit my parents, which arrives late at night. As I was getting off, the cute guy in front of me looked out the window, then turned to me and said, "Doesn't that guy out there give you the creeps?" That guy was my dad. FML
Today, I found out that the creepy weirdo who's been sending me messages for a while is just my dad. His excuse was, "I wanted you to feel like someone would actually like you." FML
Today, and every day, a homeless looking man walks into my work, sits down and stares. I'm new to the job so, trying to make new friends, when the guy walked in this time, I went over to a co worker I was really clicking with, and went off about how creepy he was. He replied with "Who, my dad?" FML
Today, I was at the airport, on my way to see my dad for the first time since I was four years-old. Whilst I was waiting for my dad to find me, a strange man started flirting with me. Irritated, I told him I was waiting for my dad to get me, and to fuck off. The strange man was my father. FML
Today, I went to see my favorite band in concert. When the show was over I got the chance to meet them. When I met the guitarist and told him my name, he recognized me. To my disappointment it was as the facebook creeper. FML
Today, I was at my school's choir concert, sitting in the audience with some people I had classes with. A guy with a really long beard walked in and I pointed him out to the guy next to me, saying, "Get a load of Duck Dynasty." He replied, "Yeah, that's my dad." FML
Today, my new friend and I went out to a concert. When we came back to her house, she ran upstairs and left me alone. Suddenly, a naked man came into my view and I stared at him, horrified. Great way to meet her Dad. FML
Today, I received a message from a weird guy that's been stalking me online. Apparently, he travelled 4 hours last weekend to go to the same event as me, just to stare at me. He knew a LOT of details. He never spoke to me because that would "have been weird". I don't know what he looks like, so didn't recognise him. FML

Maybe you should give him "the talk"

Well, the only way you can thank him is by dressing up as a panda and accompanying him to work. Have fun OP

At his point in life there is a good chance that would be a VERY lost cause.

OP: "Now, Dad, you see when a man loves a woman very much..."
CallMeMcFeelii 14
Hey if he took you there, you have no room to talk OP. He seems like a cool guy, not many parents take their children to gigs. My mom actually took me to my very first Warped Tour. She had a blast there, and I wouldn't have changed that moment for anything. Parents can be embarrassing if you let them get under your skin, but you shouldn't. Embrace it, just tell him not to wear pajama pants next time, I personally see that as grimy as all hell, but again, he is who he is.

Dads can be very embarrassing!
PancakeSlap 23
I would have loved it if my dad did this. Sure it is embarrassing, but you're dad has to be pretty damn awesome to be wearing that in public.

There's a fine line between stupid and awesome. I think judging from what we've been told, the father falls in the former category.
SmuggletheBudgie 15
Calling someone stupid because they don't give a flying chewbacca turd what others think about them? I think it's inspirational honestly.

OP's dad took him to a concert, where he may or may not like the music, I wish I had a dad like that growing up, or even now. OP you should've stood up for weird hat wearing dad.

umm and OP made it worse for not saying anything. You should have said it was your dad; poor guy.

My dad used to wear these lime green pants that were so 80's. They had the shapes and patterns. Then he cut them into shorts... I can't tell which was worse. He finally got rid of them, thank goodness. As funny as it is now, it was embarrassing!

Talk about an over protective father!! Sorry OP
Kibaruto 33
At least he was wearing pants.
RenoTheRhino 30
Where does it say that OP's father is overprotective? Just because he was standing by OP?
AnthonyWheeler15 24
Ah sorry OP, who did you guys go to see?
migueljm5 18
Why would you go to a concert like that? Or even let him leave the house wearing that?
TheDrifter 24
day 6 of a crank bender, pajamas and the slash top hat seems like high fashion.

WE'RE OUT OF GACK!
Mackay92 14
yes because op decides what the parent wears
Welshite 40
Aww...it's cute that your dad thought it was necessary to chaperon you. Those concerts can be scary.
makkarari 18
That's what parents are for! To embarrass the crap out of you! One day you will look back on this and laugh when you tell your kids what a goof their grandpa is!

Panda? I vote baboon, with the butt being very well for a "costume".
Kruiser 16
Walking you to school in pajamas wasn't enough for him anymore I guess
