Quota
Today, my boyfriend told me that because he works fifty hours a week, I should be meeting an arbitrary quota of fifty hours of housework, and if I don't, I'm insensitive and ungrateful. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, my boyfriend called work because he is sick. Then he called me four times while I was working, to complain that I was working, and then he got mad when I told him I was sick and worked a double shift two days in a row, because apparently that's "insensitive" of me. FML
Today, I was told I'm lazy by my boyfriend because I skipped work. He skips his all the time and when I get home still have to cook and clean up after him. FML
Today, I finally landed a new job, and thinking he would be proud, I told my boyfriend. Instead of congratulating me, he got mad that my work hours include Saturday, his laundry day. FML
Today, I called my husband when his shift at work ended to talk about what we needed to do this weekend. He got angry and asked if he could have "five goddamn minutes" after work to get home and change before I started "throwing the fucking to do list at me." FML
Today, my girlfriend told me I could sleep in. Twenty minutes later, she was banging on the door, yelling, "Get up, fat lazy fuck! It's seven o'clock, we have chores! You expect me to do everything for your worthless ass!" FML
Today, after weeks of my girlfriend complaining that I don't help with the chores, I secretly took a day off work to deal with some that were piling up. When she got home, all she could do was complain about how I hadn't done more. FML
Today, my husband was working from home, so I asked him to clean the living room and basement. He started yelling about how he needs to focus and that I can't be "constantly distracting him." Sorry for expecting you to care for the space you live in, dick. FML
Today, after my boyfriend used to tell me that, with his demanding job, he just didn’t have the time or energy for a meaningful conversation with me. Thanks to COVID, he works 90% less now, finding time for online college, cooking and new furniture, yet didn’t invest even one extra minute into our couple. FML
Today, my boyfriend asked me to pick up a few things from the store for him while he was at work. After picking up everything he asked for, I wasn't left with much money so I used $50 from my account. When he got home he then grumbled about me spending all of "his" money. FML
Today, the previously charming guy I've been seeing for the past two weeks tried to introduce a weekly sex quota into our relationship. FML

I wouldn't normally bash OP's significant other, but considering your name, I'd say he's either pulling your leg, or he's kind of a dick.

I would be happy with a girlfriend who did 5 hours of house work..

If you are actually pregnant then it's a different story but if you aren't then yes you should ... Women want to be treated "equal" but what they really mean is better

So true....I've always busted my butt off in manual hard labor jobs & to have a woman who does easier (sit in front of a computer entering data or nothing @ all other than watch tv,eat & make a mess of the place)& expects to be treated as equal (meaning-like a queen)...really irks me too.

Regardless of the pregnancy unless you're living in waist high filth.... There's no way there is 50 hours of house work to be doing on a consistent week to week basis. I keep a house pretty proper with around 10/15 hours a week. Boyfriends logic sucks.

So your name implies that youre pregnant and if you are your boyfriend is horrendous. Let him know that you cant be doing too much work (depending how far along you are) also you probably do housework while at home everyday (assuming you dont work) so 50hours is unnecessary and cruel

He wants equality, give him equality. Demand that he bear the child for the last 4,5 months. Also, when you're giving birth, you should take turns giving birth every hour. If he refuses, he's insensitive and ungrateful.

Reducto ad absurdem isn't an argument.

OP is being ridiculous. Not too far along and no outside job ? The house should be spotless and all meals her responsibility. Too far along ? Take 5x the amount of time to have an equally spotless house and cook. Pregnant or not, if 1 partner works outside the home then the other partner contributes by keeping the home up. Male or female, pregnant or not makes zero difference.

Wah. OP, man up. If he's working to support you both and does anything at all like that and you can support the effort, do it. He's not going to work because it's "fun". Yeah, pregnancies not great, but if you're using it as an excuse, gimme a break, Men go to work with the same aches, breaks, tears, extra weight, stress, as women.

He puts up bathroom cleaning log like at store.... Total douche

don't think it is unfair to ask for a clean house if the gf is unemployed or on leave and not far along though.

HES insensitive and ungrateful if he's saying that to his pregnant girlfriend. no house needs 50 hours of work anyway. just fully clean it one a week, by fully I mean vacuuming, dusting, windexing.. etc the whole bit and the other 6 days just keep it tidy and touch it up. that's all. and if you're far along in your pregnancy you shouldn't be doing a lot of work. he's ungrateful......

Then get a job. As a woman that has had 3 children and worked full time through all three pregnancies I have no sympathy for you. My husband works full time and knows how hard I work. I bet after a week working you would beg to stay home and clean house.
