Today, my boyfriend called work because he is sick. Then he called me four times while I was working, to complain that I was working, and then he got mad when I told him I was sick and worked a double shift two days in a row, because apparently that's "insensitive" of me. FML

Today, my boyfriend took a day off from work because he felt "sick". I thought he might come see me since he hadn't come over in a while. Nope, he went to hang out with his ex instead. FML
Today, my boyfriend told me he wouldn't be able to cover his share of the rent because he didn't work during the week, saying business has been slow. I checked and found out he called in sick four times. He wanted to stay home and watch online gaming matches. FML
Today, I woke up feeling awful, having caught the same illness my boyfriend had last night. When he was sick, I skipped my friend's baby shower to take care of him. Now that I'm sick, he goes to a friend's place, says to call if I need him, then turns his phone off. Seriously. FML
Today, I got yelled at multiple times by my boss because my boyfriend didn't show up to work. FML
Today, I was sick and had a migraine. Being sick turns me into a big baby, and I told my boyfriend I didn't want to be alone. Two hours into my shift, he texted me saying he "needs to let off some steam because he hadn't in a long time." Guess who ended up staying home alone until his drunk ass needed to be taken care of. FML
Today, I woke up feeling like shit after I had spent the whole night taking care of my sick boyfriend. He got up early, feeling great, bouncing around the house. When I finally got up I told him I didn't feel well and he yelled at me for being a bitch in the morning that slows him down. FML
Today, my boyfriend told me he was going to take me out somewhere special, so I called in sick for work. Turns out he had made reservations for the restaurant I worked at. FML
Today, I had to work a double shift after my relief called in "sick" just so he could go to a party. FML
Today, I was sick, so I went into work to see if I could get my shift covered, instead of just calling in. I ended up working an extra hour. FML
Today, my boyfriend got mad at me because I refused to keep him company while he took a shit. FML

but by being sick and working double shift you're actually indirectly telling him that you're oh so better than him when it comes to how much you can suffer and how hardworking you really are when he's just looking for some company and your presence.. had this thought ever crossed your mind?

The biggest FML I'm seeing here is that the OP apparently felt they *had* to work double shifts 2 days straight while sick. That's horrible and probably says a lot about where the OP works. As for the boyfriend: yeah, it sucks being sick and stuck home alone. Take your meds, take a nap, get over yourself, and get better.

That’s work for ya. I was working with a 101.8 fever and had bronchitis. Didn’t matter to them. Still would’ve been an unexcused absence. Slapped a face mask on and got to work.

I had the flu and bronchitis, but couldn’t provide a doctor’s note, so I had to work a 14 hour day (in the food industry, mind you). I was so sick, the floor was moving. Luckily, I was the highest ranked person there at the time, and my coworkers understood, so I just sat there and didn’t do anything.

Take it as a ham-fisted attempt to tell you to take better care of yourself. You deserve to get rest when you're sick, especially after a double shift. Next time, take your sick day, lie in bed with your computer and have your boyfriend serve you soup and tissues. I'm sure he will love that; he's so sensitive.
