Today, the toilet at my apartment still hasn't been fixed. I have to straddle the bathtub for number 1's and go to Walmart for 2's. FML

Today, after my landlord has refused to fix the bathroom plumbing problem in my apartment for several days, I had to buy cat litter for myself. FML
Today, I had to use the bathroom really badly in a drug store. After I did a #2, just as I realized the handle on the toilet was broken, a knock came at the door. I tried fixing it for ten minutes, before slipping out the door, to come face to face with two employees coming to fix the toilet. FML
Today, it's been two days since my upstairs neighbour's toilet started flooding both our apartments. I have to go to the bathroom with an umbrella. FML
Today, there are people working in my bathroom. I have the shits. The only place I could think to go was in my cats litter box. I've used it twice and am now contemplating using it a third time. FML
Today, I had to pee in the kitchen sink because my bathroom is being completely revamped, and the only other toilet in the house is my parents'. They refuse to let anyone use it. FML
Today, I'm at my in-laws for breakfast. I used the restroom to do a number 2 but the water flow isn't going. It's not clogged, but the water is not fully leaving, and my boyfriend's phone is dead. I'm helpless. FML
Today, after buying an old house that lacks plumbing a few weeks ago, I’m still crapping in a bucket in the barn. My two favorite Christmas gifts are still 2 pieces of rubber to dampen the noise from my new sewage pump and a used ceramic toilet bowl. FML
Today, I had a date with a girl. After movies and dinner, we came back to my place. I had to go to the washroom BADLY. I took a BIG #2 and when I went to flush the toilet to my horror it wouldn't flush. FML
Today, I went up to take a shower. I typically go to the bathroom first, I take a mega dump, then flush the toilet. Not only wouldn't the toilet flush but I found out my parents only keep one plunger on hand. It was in the downstairs bathroom. My dad came upstairs and plunged the toilet while I stood there naked. FML
Today, we had to turn the water off due to a massive leak in the kitchen sink that the plumber was currently fixing. I managed to wait two hours before my uncooperative digestive tract said it couldn't wait any longer and I had to take a mega dump in the bathroom. I couldn't flush the toilet or wash my hands. FML

Did you make sure to file it instead of just mentioning it (or worse, assuming landlords just know when things go wrong)? You'd be surprised at how many people expect things to be fixed, but never file any sort of maintenance request. Beyond that, fix it yourself. Toilets aren't high-tech pieces of equipment. You can learn what you need to *gasp* online, and dock your landlord an amount of rent equal to the cost of repairs - also file complaints if requests have been filed and he hasn't gotten around to it. If you aren't the type to fix them, withhold rent until the problem has been fixed - non-working plumbing is a valid reason for an apartment to be "unlivable." I lived in a duplex and we had have the landlord fix things, and we couldn't fix anything without the landlord calling whoever it was to fix whaterver needed to be fixed. So ya ^^^^ maybe she did call to fix things but her landlord is dumb and hasn't done anything about it, and maybe the people won't come without talking to her landlord. And I don't think it's gross to pee in the shower. She can always clean it....

OP, screw all these haters, I totally feel your pain and I have had to take 2's at Wal-Mart as well. I also have peed in the tub. I actually think the sink is better though.

You know what sucks even more? When the city does construction on your street and decides to shut off your water for 40 hours without telling you about it. So no water, no baths, no flushing, no washing of hands or anything.
