Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I walked outside to see my boyfriend standing on my porch, looking confused. He explained to me that he had attached a prom proposal note to his pet rabbit, and let it inside my house to find me. We went looking for said rabbit, and found my dog halfway through eating it. FML
Today, my dog was barking at a squirrel in the yard. I opened the door to let him chase the squirrel. I went to look at the dead squirrel and found out it was the neighbor's chihuahua. FML
Today, I went to my boyfriend's house to meet his parents, and now they have a dead rabbit because I sat on it. FML
Today, at a big Easter egg hunt, the kids found a wild bunny. Everyone smiled and "aww"ed, until my dog caught and ate it in front everyone. FML
Today, I saw my four-year-old son running around outside, and copying everything our dog was doing. I thought it was cute, so I went to grab the camera. When I went back outside, I saw my dog eating a dead rabbit, and my son doing the same. FML
Today, I found out my dad ate my pet rabbit two years ago. He said he ran away. FML
Today, I came home to find a note on my door from the neighbor saying, "I saw a coyote eat your dog, but was afraid it was rabid." FML
Today, my dog showed me her latest kill. Too bad it was the stuffed animals my dead grandmother had given me as a child that had a lot of sentimental value to me. FML
Today, my cat died. But, before he could bite the dust, he left a goodbye present on my bed: a decapitated baby rabbit. FML
Today, while walking my dog in a cemetery, she stole a stuffed animal off a child's grave and began to play with it. FML

Did they just keep the rabbit loose in their garden? How did your dog get it?

Why do people like to beat down comments like this... Your sarcastic comment is just as cliche as their comment...

They deserve it for not keeping it secure.

Who deserves it for not keeping what secure?

Yes.

No, serious question. I know #6 thinks that the neighbours let their rabbit loose and it got into the dog's yard, but how do we know that the dog didn't get loose and get into the neighbours' yard? I know lots of people who have pet rabbits and let them enjoy the open air every so often.

ouch :/ was it her rabbit or your dog that got free? Poor little kid

Oh noes!, not fluffy! In other news, the Easter Bunny was found mauled to death this morning...

Coming up next on the news at ten, the tooth fairy. What does she do with all those teeth?
False_Stupidity 42
I reckon she recycles them and turns them into dentures, then sells them to dentists for an insane profit.

You should probably go and apologize to the neighbor and make sure they know it was a mistake but we all know you're just going to bury it in your backyard and continue having a false sense of good relations with your neighbor.

Or they can just trick the daughter and buy another rabbit, like they did with speedy the hamster in recess
EverestMelting 23
Yeah but by that theory, they would have to create a felony by breaking and entering and we all know just how much of a hassle that is.

And WHY exactly did your dog have access to their rabbit? Could have been easily prevented had both of you been keeping an eye on your pets.

when I was a kid I had rabbits in my backyard. Safely secured in their cages. That didn't stop a neighborhood dog from jumping the fence and attacking the cages until they opened. I'll advise the OP not to leave the dead rabbit in their driveway, as my neighbors did, to find out whose rabbit their dog had killed.
