Kittens are everything
Today, I realized that since moving in with my boyfriend and adopting two kittens, I feel more alone than ever. He cuddles the kittens more than me, he doesn’t want to hang out with me at home anymore. Is this normal? FML

Wild Nights Out
Last call, bad decisions and 3 a.m. texts you'll regret until noon. Cheers.
Today, I realized the kitten I adopted months ago either has serious attachment issues or the worst case of Stockholm syndrome I've ever seen. Only I can get near him, he can't stand us being over 5 feet apart, he meows until I let him into the bathroom with me, and I feel like a jerk for disliking it. I need space. FML
Today, my boyfriend bought us three kittens. Today, I also discovered that I am allergic to cats. My boyfriend broke up with me because he wanted the cats more than me. FML
Today, I realised that I have a better relationship with my cat than I do with my boyfriend. FML
Today, I moved in with my boyfriend. Up until now, I thought my cat was the only four year-old I had to deal with. FML
Today, I adopted a cat, thinking it would make my life a little less lonely. Within an hour, the cat ran away. Not even animals want to be around me. FML
Today, after uprooting my life to help my boyfriend, I realized I receive more affection from my landlord's dog than I have from my boyfriend since I've moved here. FML
Today, my ex is sleeping in the basement for a few days until he can find a new place. All three of my cats would rather snuggle with him on the couch, even though two of them hate each other. None want to be with me. FML
Today, I got a cat so I'd have some company, since my roommate is always with her boyfriend. Too bad the cat likes her more. So now I get to sit and listen to her talk to her boyfriend to get to cuddle with my kitty. FML
Today, my cat still loves my boyfriend more than me. I spent around 6 months convincing my boyfriend to get a cat. FML
Today, I don't know anyone in the city where I just moved. I felt really lonely so I picked up my cat to try and cuddle with her. She freaked out and ripped my face apart. She ran then away to go play with the cats outside. Even my cat has more friends than me. FML
Feel like sharing it with the other FML users?

That's tough. You can try talking to him about it but I see you two simply being friends who loves cat instead of a couple.

Occasionally my wife decides to start an “am I more important to you than whatever it is is occupying my attention at that moment.” It’s not really a good thing to start because you put the relationship on a “make or break” footing. Either your significant other has to reassure you that you are important to them or they may eventually get tired of the emotional game and they withdraw more. While most of the time your significant other probably comes around and gives you the reassurance you crave, you are creating the risk that they won’t this time and may become tired of that “game”. If it wasn’t a kitten it could be any other hobby or interest or even your own children. While I understand that we all need reassurance of the love of our significant other at times, it’s just not wise to start that emotional game. A wise and emotionally mature significant other will recognize what is going on and give their partner the reinforcement they need. But not everyone has that level of maturity or patience all the time.

Don't you think there's another pussy he should care about as well? Hopefully it's not as hairy, but he can still pet it.

my gf's dad passed and after rehoming the two cats multiple times we adopted them... the part feral one purrs while curled up with both of us and the part lynx kneads when she's laying with him
