Today, my brother asked his wife for a divorce, but she got so mad at him that he backtracked and told her it was a prank I'd put him up to. She’s still mad as hell at him, but thanks to his lie my name is now mud in our entire family. I was at work all day, and I did nothing wrong. FML
Today, we found out my brother in law cheated on my sister. Somehow they’ve blamed me for the whole incident. I don’t know the guy. FML
Today, I hired a private investigator to find out if my wife of 15 years is cheating on me with my brother. I don't know what's worse, that she is cheating on me, or that instead of cheating with my brother she's cheating with my brother's wife. FML
Today, I came home early from work and found my brother in my bed with a girl I've never met. Apparently he's been using my house to hook up with girls while I'm gone. FML
Today, my brother's recent creepy behavior suddenly made sense when I found "How to seduce your sister?" in his browser search history. FML

Today, after assuring my best friend that his girlfriend would never cheat on him, I came home to my brother having loud sex with my best friend's girlfriend. FML

So your brother's response to not getting money was to try and ruin your marriage? I'd keep him at arms length from now on. And honestly, 500 isn't "i'm going to lose my house" money. I'm curious what was so important that he needed the money for.

am I the only one who thinks it's strange that something as small as that can make their spouse think they're unfaithful? especially if their spouse never showed signs...and if it is that easy why are you with somebody you barely trust

The brother purposely wrote the ad to make it sound like OP. Its enough to make any woman at least a little suspicious. Enough for a conversation, anyway. It should be easy to prove it was a set up though.

Your brother sounds like a dick. He needs to understand this type of behavior is not okay. Not only did he ruin your reputation but he also potentially ruined your marriage. Now usually I'm the type that tries to be the bigger person, turn the other cheek...so on and so forth...but in this case payback needs to be a bitch and that bitch needs to take him down.
