Today, I learned that the college I'm going to in the fall has been tampering with their ratings on the internet and actually only has a 5% graduation rate. Everything's already been paid for and I can't transfer elsewhere. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I asked to change my major at the college I'm transferring to in the fall. Instead of letting me change my major, they withdrew my acceptance. FML
Today, I applied for college graduation. Turns out my advisor screwed me over and now I'm 1 credit hour short of getting my degree. Now I have to wait another semester and pay $3,500 just to take a one hour class on Bowling so that I can graduate. FML
Today, my university is capable of sending me two diplomas in short succession due to a clerical error, but can't recognize that I've graduated and won't be taking classes with them in the fall. FML
Today, I was put on academic suspension only to find out my professor entered my grade wrong. I lost my financial aid and have to explain to my parents why I’m not in college anymore. FML
Today, I found out the high school I have been doing at home for the past 3 years isn't accredited and doesn't count for anything. I'm 18 and starting high school as a freshman next year. FML
Today, I was notified that I've been going to the wrong courses for 4 weeks. A friend of mine was the only person to tell me that the administration had taken the privilege to change my courses. I have now failed 5 courses due to absences and have been suspended from college for 6 months. FML
Today, my college charged me for tuition for next semester. I graduated two years ago. I have a degree from a place too stupid to only charge current students. FML
Today, I called the college of my dreams to check the status of my application. Turns out they "never received" copies of my transcripts. They did however cash the $70 application fee that was mailed with them. FML
Today, after going through months of registration and orientation to transfer to a university, I was told that my application was denied because I didn't meet the minimum credit requirement. You couldn't tell me this before? FML
In vain
Today, I found out that I chose a wrong class and my 30-page paper worth 10 credit points that I wrote for that class is basically worthless now, and my graduation might be postponed another semester just because of that. FML

Time to sue, that's false advertising!

That's not necessarily a bad thing. My college has like a 40% graduation rate because a lot of people start there and then transfer

Actually, that sounds way better than the advice I gave. If the OP has the proof, he can get his money back.

Maybe you should stick with it for only one semester or a full year since you can't transfer at the moment. Afterward, definitely go to a different school!

Is it Trump University? Naw. It's can't be. 5% is way too high for TU.

Why do you people have to bring things that are completely unrelated into this?

Take a year, get your prerequisites out of the way, then transfer

First, check to make sure credits from that school would be accepted at other schools. If they are transferable, decide if you want to take a semester or two then transfer or take one off and start somewhere late. If they arent, withdrawal now for a full refund and find a new school to start at next semester or year. My school would give full refund on tuition if you withdrawl within a certain time and partial before half semester. If they don't do this, prob hafta sue.

Ooo I bet you could find an attorney that would be frothing at the mouth to take that case!

Prove them wrong!! Be one of the proud 5%!!!

Almost everyone is saying to sue. That would be your last option. Talk to the school about withdrawing and get a full refund if you don't mind taking a semester off of school. If they don't comply, talk to the department of education. They would be able to investigate and help you. It's called the borrowers defense to repayment. I should know a thing or two considering I work for Nelnet, a loan company servicer.

All you got to dos learn hard and become one of the 5% graduates. You won't have a problem.
