Today, it was the day of my wedding. I had a massive headache a couple of hours before the ceremony so I decided to take a nap. I told my brother to wake me up an hour before it started. He forgot. Now everyone thinks I ran out on my wife. FML

Today, I accidentally slept in two hours later than I was supposed to. Today is my wedding day. FML

Today, I was hungover the day of my cousin's wedding and fell asleep in the limo. I woke up to everyone telling me we had arrived, so I got out and started mingling. It took me a minute to realise I didn’t know anyone. Those bastards had dropped me at someone else’s wedding as a prank and drove off. FML
Today, at my wedding, my brother decided it would be funny to trip me as I was walking down the aisle, in front of hundreds of people. FML
Today, my son was so hungover at his wedding that he fell asleep standing at the altar and fell over onto his pregnant wife, knocking her backwards onto the floor. What should have been a happy occasion turned into a farce as we rushed her to hospital to check the baby was OK. FML
Today, it was my wedding. Everyone showed up… except my fiancé. FML
Today, on my wedding day, when they said, "You may kiss the bride", I swung my wife over in the romantic fashion and went in for the kiss. Unfortunately, my hands were sweaty as I was nervous, and she slipped under my grip. She fell and was knocked unconscious in front of hundreds of people. FML
Today, I blacked out at a wedding as a bridesmaid, during the service. FML
Today, I had my wedding at 11 a.m. so that I could spend a lot of time with my friends and family. Everyone left within 4 hours. FML

Its always best to put on several alarm clocks too! I hope everyone understands, and you manage to rearrange a new date. I hope your brother didn't do it on purpose !

That's so terrible you missed your wedding, you must feel so awful. I'm sorry, OP. Your bride will of course be upset, but you just have to explain what happened and remind her you do love her enough to want to bind yourself to her for eternity. Ignore what everyone else thinks, this is between you and your woman.

How is she your wife if you never actually turned up? To me it seems that you just don't care. You didn't even make the effort to set an alarm, if I was your woman and things like this were a common occurrence, I'd probably walk out on you. Lesson learned for next time though hey?

You people are just terrible. OP made one mistake, that doesn't mean they shouldn't be together at all. He was probably at the venue and didn't have a phone or an alarm clock on him. Even if he did, they aren't always reliable.

Why didn't you just do the logical thing and set an alarm. I am sure you own a cell phone that's from at least 2001 and that means it has an alarm. YDI for putting your responsibilities in someone else's hands.
