Today, I came home early from work to find out that my husband of 7 years had been cheating on me for the last year. With his best friends wife. The reason: I worked too much. I came home early because I found out I wasn't getting the promotion that I had been working overtime the last year to get.

Today, I have relatively healthy teeth. Not perfect, but good. In my first solid meal after having a wisdom tooth removed 2 days ago, I completely shattered a tooth that had given me no issues whatsoever. On the opposite side of my mouth. Fml.

Today, after much delay, I was finally able to have a meeting with the science tutor my adviser set me up with. Unfortunately, her expertise is in biology. I need help with chemistry. My adviser knew both of these things. FML

Today, my boss yet again bitched at me for "not doing my job right." I've been trying to find a new job for months, and every time a prospective employer calls my boss tells them that I'm a terrible worker so I won't get the job. They do this because I'm "too much of a good worker to lose."

Today, I was watching an employee who I knew was stealing. I was trying to watch a sketchy customer at the same time, but dropped him so I wouldn't lose the employee. I later found out that customer stole a $500 item seconds after I stopped watching him. I saw the employee steal a $1 item. FML

Just wanted to clarify a few things. At the place where I work, internals take priority over anything else. When I watch an employee for theft, I am not allowed to lose them for even a second during their shift. We can't fire them right away because we have to build a case and then wait for my supervisor to come down from corporate to interview and fire them. As for the item the shoplifter stole, it was secured in multiple ways, but he had brought wire cutters to cut the shelf cable and security device off of the item. He was in and out in just a few minutes and had a get-away driver waiting for him. He actually did this two more times getting the case value to about $1500, but thankfully the police found and arrested him ?
