Today, I found out that shirt sizes don't get longer, they get wider. Being 6ft4, every shirt I try on makes me look like a cheap stripper. FML

Do you live near a Big & Tall? My husband is also 6'4 and we have to go there or order his clothes online. It's the same with his shoes...he wears size 14!

You should try a big and tall store. Don't worry, you don't have to be big to shop there. They specialize in both. Watch out though, shopping for clothes that fit taller frames can get a bit pricey. Good luck! Didn't see number one before I typed my comment.

Big&Tall are no good for really tall people. They only cater to fat people! I am 6'9" and 250lb ... they had nothing!

I'm in the same boat. 6'4" & size 16 shoes! Online is our best friend when it comes to clothes & footwear.

I wear size 14 shoes and can usually find decent pairs in the local nike outlet. They also sell higher sizes there.

Same height. Same problem. Old navy has a good selection of tall sized clothing online. They have a comfy sweatshirt I just bought again since I wore the old one out. Fits great

Or just move to the Netherlands where you will be considered average length (atleast for my age group) at best and finding clothes in your size should not be a challenge.

I'm 6'7 and 180. Big and tall is for 6'7 and 400.

I'm 6'3 and 220lbs and I thank god i'm not alone in this

Awe you poor tall guys. I sew, so I fix my brothers clothes for him when it's fixable. If he gets shirts much much too big, he gives them to me and I make dresses or wear them to sleep in. He's 6'1though so I don't have to be taking in every shirt.

My boyfriend is 6"7'. Somehow he gets lucky and find clothes that fit at Walmart.

Im 6'3 but i dont really have this problem because most of my height is in my legs. I do have a problem with pants and long sleeves though.

My husband shops at Big & Tall, and he's not fat at all :/

why is everyone assuming this is from a guy?

Duh, only guys make cheap strippers

Yes it does show the sex. There is a little symbol that looks like a circle with an arrow pointing up diagonally. That is the symbol for "male".

I'm 5'1 and reading the comments and whose what height... damn, you're all giants to me! haha

I'm 6'4" finding shirts sucks. my work shirts are all a bit too short for me. I don't look like s cheap stripper, but too short. been a problem since I was a kid. luckily, I wear a 10 1/2 shoe.

#1 where do you live that Size 14 is abnormal? In Texas you can't find anything over S14, anything over that has to be ordered or you have to go to a specialty store

OP, if you can afford, try Polo shirts or go to the store. They sell long shirts.

Polo tall shirt. A little more expensive but they are longer not wider

OP is not necessarily from the US, they didn't specify. In other words your advice might not be very relevant.

24, maybe the OP is from the US, in which case your comment isn't very relevant. At least 3 was trying to be helpful.

24, I'm not meaning to mention a specific store name, just any store of that nature.

Yes, try a big and tall shop, or perhaps just give up on shirts altogether, thus removing your dilemma entirely.

Same problem here. Not just the torso length either, finding a shirt with long enough sleeves is a pain.

I'm a girl, and my legs are too long for my waist size. Even when I order them in long they're too short. I don't understand why our pants can't come in lengths like men's pants do.

#16 I usually get the opposite problem having short legs and being a bigger person. Most pants are too long for me. I guess it's an easy fix for me though.

Try old navy I'm really tall and that's the only store where they're actually long enough, haven't tried online yet

My brother is 6'6 so he has this problem too! I'm also fairly tall for a girl so it's hard to find pants that aren't high waters. And since I run and squat a lot, it's hard to find pants that I can get over my quads and butt that aren't huge on my waist! It definitely makes shopping get expensive very quickly. And it means ordering a lot online.

@16- Try Alloy if you're in the US- not sure if they do international, but they sell at least size 1-25 and inseams up to 39 inches. They may have sizes 00 and 0 too.

16, I suffer the same problem. I'm tall yet very slim so pants are hard to find. Wet Seal has some great jeans for tall and slim girls though.

Haha, you could always custom order online if it's really that bad.

That gets a little to pricey for me atleast

My husband has a long torso and extra long shirts online cost 3x as much as regular lengths, just for t-shirts. It's a nightmare finding shirts for his work that don't cost a fortune.

Try a different style? Or find a shop that caters for tall guys. Internet shopping has come a long way.

I feel your pain OP. I'm tall to. Being tall has it's advantages and a lot more disadvantages. Hope you find a big n tall somewhere soon otherwise it's Gona be a long winter for ya.

Big and tall stores are crap for tall sizes ... they should be legally obligated to call themselves big & fat ...

Get high-waisted pants and wear a cummerbund. Jeez, was that so hard?
