you deserve it for wearing that shit
(0)wtf o_O
(0)Scotty is a douche. I don't see how your typing though...my knuckles would still hurt too bad from bashing her skull.

(+6)She didn't deserve that! It's not her sisters business what brand of clothing she wears, and it's certainly not her place to destroy the clothes!
(+1)i agree with scotty: those clothes are shit. but that doesn't mean you deserve THAT to happen. sounds like your sister has some repressed anger. seriously.
(+4)People are thinking that the "$300" worth of clothes is one t-shirt or something. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHERE IT'S FROM. IT'S STILL 300 DOLLARS. Could've been 100 pairs of pants. The lowlifes of society wouldn't be so pissy if it was Wal-Mart brand. Get a life, emo losers, and stop judging people on what they buy.
(-12)Too many negative votes, comment buried. Show the comment.
Why because you are too poor and ugly to even walk into Hollister? Like the rest of these FML drones? Get a life and perhaps a job you jerk off
(+5)fakepolice- are you suggesting that anyone who doesn't shop at hollister is poor and ugly? i'm pretty sure that's what samS meant by the irony of "stop judging people on what they buy".
(-15)Too many negative votes, comment buried. Show the comment.
I agree with Fakepolice... You dirty broke posers whine too much.... And no not shopping at Hollister doesn't make you dirty and poor... Your non educated filthy lifestyle does... Not wearing hollister just makes it easy to point you out!!!
(-1)True, Kevin. Risk-takers they are not. I love how websites like etsy are starting to become little powerhouses. It's nice to see craft and care coming back into the picture and not just mass produced clothing that really does not look good or say anything other than "oh. we have the same shirt on" :/
(+14)I love how people are saying that Hollister is too expensive, when clothes at Hot Topic usually cost more. Sorry Scotty, Kevin and mercyFML, but unless you handcraft your own clothes and don't ever buy them from a store, you are just as "unoriginal" as the OP. So you can lay off the fake sense of superiority.
And to all the selfish high school brats who are saying YDI: NO ONE deserves to have their clothes shredded. When you have to pay for everything yourself, losing $300 worth of clothes is a big deal. But since you are all probably still in high school and get all your money from mommy and daddy, it seems "funny" to you guys when someone gets $300 worth of clothes destroyed. Get a job and then say that shit.
Does anyone see how hypocritical it is to tell someone "you are unoriginal for wearing clothes that you like, now get rid of them and buy original clothes like the rest of us!"

(+2)I love you "non-conformists". If you have to go to such great lengths to "not-conform" you are:
A) A complete fucking moron who should never breed so your dumbass genes never multiply
B) The people who CONFORM THE MOST
OP, maybe you should take those scissors, shred your sisters face, take photos and tell your internet friends that your sister was "an annoying bitch".
(+2)I know alot of adults who wear both... My best friend and her husband do, and they are 24 and 28. Alot of young adults wear these brands and buy it with there hard earned money, so really your logic doesn't make any sense.

Ugh. Kevin, it's because kaleid0scopeEyes is obsessed with emo-bashing. *yawnsies*
Nothing we said was mean and I even commented below that the OP did not deserve this, but some people go to great lengths to justify their lameness. Sorry to disappoint, K, but I am not a scene kid.

(+8)OP here!! Let me explain a few things. I'm 19, I go to college at UNH and I'm currently home on winter break. I work as a waitress and paid for almost all those clothes myself, except for the $100 gift card to American Eagle that I got from my grandma for my birthday. I don't only buy Hollister and American Eagle; those were just the clothes that my sister picked out (because apparently those are "conformist" clothes). Its also easier for me to find clothes that fit in those stores since I'm a very little person (5'1 and 105 pounds).
My sister really hates me and our family and i've tried time and time again to hang out with her, go see movies together, do anything and she wants no part of it. She steals from my mom, ignores our 10 year old brother and spends all her time in her room on her computer. She actually hit our mom once because our mom wouldn't let her meet her "internet boyfriend" - some 23 year old guy from Maine who she met on Myspace. I really try to be understanding but crap like this keeps happening.
I really cant believe that some of you are actually saying her actions are justified. Its not okay to destroy someone else's property. It doesn't matter if the clothes were Hollister, Hot Topic, Gucci, Torrid, Walmart, whatever. I hope none of you have roommates in college - because if you think its okay to ruin someone's property just because you don't like it, you will get your ass handed to you.

(-1)Hi Mercy!! I've missed ya :) we've been commenting on different fmls!
(+2)THANK YOU. You took the words right out of my mouth. I agree 100%
(+1)So, op, what revenge do you have in store for your sister? You have to have some sort of revenge planned, because your sister needs to be taught a lesson!
(-9)Too many negative votes, comment buried. Show the comment.
Pssh American Eagle and Hollister. And where does the $300 go to when she buys it? God knows where, because the sweatshop workers get paid diarrhea.
Your sister attempted to send an anti-materialistic message to you, kudos to her.
(-2)134, you're not the OP.
(+6)"I really cant believe that some of you are actually saying her actions are justified. Its not okay to destroy someone else's property. You hit the nail on the head. When will people learn to not fuck with other people's shit? Ugh.
(0)hell to the YEAH. but still. KILL THE SISTER. jk. just..... CUT UP ALL HER CLOTHES. lmao.
(-1)Hi, Starry :]
Actually, if you look down below I posted that I was sorry that this happened to you. No one deserves that. I was merely discussing the merits of the Kevin Nealon imposter's argument, that it is nice to see a boom in homemade clothing, etc. Everyone has a right to wear what they want, just as I have a right to express my views on mass produced/sweatshop clothing. Please put your knee jerks in your pipe. Thanks, bitches :]
(0)i totally agree with you....
(+1)I wasn't talking about you, mercyFML. I'm talking about all the commenters going "your sister rules!" and "YDI for wearing those brands."
#207 - On 12/23/2009 at 9:52pm by pendulum2012
(-1)Yea, the op should be worried about her emo sister. See if she's cutting herself...
(+1)That is so wrong to say! I don't particularly like the clothes sold at those stores, but OP, if you feel the same way about those clothes as I do about my vintage ones from the 1930s and 40s I sympathize with you. I care a lot about my clothes since I'm really into fashion, and I would be devastated if anything happened to a lot of my dresses.
(-2)ya but to spend 300$ on something that says the name of the store on it is kinda silly. I went in there one time and to get a normal screen tee with 'ae' on it was 35$ and a pair of pants was 50$. also the only reason for hot topic is for the band shirts if your into it, or if your emo or gothic. the 300$ could have been better spend on clothing at kohles, or rue21, at least they are decent on prices, most of the time. kohles gets a little pricey but there pants look just the same as ae, they just don't say it on the inside tag no one sees and they are normally like 12 or 15$. shirts are cheaper and are more individual, and your entire closet isn't a bunch of clothing thats the same colour short or long sleeve with ae or holister or areo on them.
my sis and I get 300 each to buy clothing with for school I'm 20 she's 14, she goes to ae gets like 3 pairs of pants and 5 or 6 shirts. and a hoddie. I go to kohles and rue21 and end up with a hell of a lot more.
but what the sis did was wrong, but its not like its hard to get new ae shirts. you just need one they all look the same.

(+1)sounds like my sis, she's 14 a public toilet (I've see her be one too followed her to a 'sleep over' when it was really a club) drinks and smokes up the wazoo. and refuses to help our family. I'm in college too, I work and have to schedule my classes so I can do the house work and get my little bro, cause my mom can't trust her to cause she breaks the dishes when she is told to wash them or says she forgot. or leaves my bro down at the bus stop and says he's six he can find his own way home, and gets my mom mad, so I get stuck doing all her shit and mine. feel your pain. sry for my other comment.
also at kohles shop in the junior section they got some small stuff there that should fit you. or rue they got some small stuff there. and a lot is pretty stylish. for a good price
(-4)Too many negative votes, comment buried. Show the comment.
thats wat she gets for being a fucking robot
(0)Know what he should do? He should go shred her clothes, post that pic on myspace (or facebook) and tag her in it so that she sees it, and say "she deserved it for being non-conformist"
That would be some sweet revenge, right there...
(-4)Too many negative votes, comment buried. Show the comment.
YDI for wearing that OC/Beverly hills teenager crap.
(+3)I like how a lot of these people are bashing those who spend a lot on clothes. If you have the money to buy expensive clothes, then why not? .. and saying Rue21/Walmart clothes are just as good as the more expensive clothes? Uh, what? Sometimes theyre more expensive because they are better made in some cases. Not like I dont get stuff from walmart when I need it, but it never holds up long.
The Buckle jeans I have bought have lasted years longer than any other jeans ive found elsewhere, and they are the only ones that make them long enough for me.. (me being almost six foot). So the moneys well worth it in the long run.
Your sister is a top class nutjob..300$ is a good bit of money, FYL OP.
(+1)That really sucks! No one deserves to have their clothes shredded, and being a non-conformist with a myspace is sort of an oxymoron. Accidentally drop her computer in the bathtub or something....
(0)I would fuck her whole damn room up and take Pictures of it and post online as well...lilttle hypocritical brat. You don't mess with someones property Need to get her back for sure!
(0)I agree Starfire. Maybe this: Buy American Eagle and Hollister dresses and skirts. Burn her underwear and pants. Take a camera. Happy revenge.
(-2)While I surely don't agree with the methods, I'm on your sister's side. Why the hell anyone would wear that crap is beyond me.

YDI for being a conformist and wearing clothes that were made in a foreign country
American made Wrangler Jeans FTW!!
(+2)You are joking, right?
(+2)Almost all clothing is made in a foriegn country, unless you make your own, I seriously doubt even wranglers are made in America, it just costs to much to pay 8.50 and hour MINIMUM to have it made in America, whenyou can have it made in bagledesh for $1 a day, nice try tho
(+1)Actually national minimum wage is $7.25, with certain states adding a state minimum on top of that. I know this because I live in one of the states that doesn't.
(0)Wow. Minimum here is $9. All over Canada, not just Quebec.
And when I was working as a grocery store cashier in Alberta I was getting $11 an hour.

While you didn't deserve that you seriously probably only lost minimal pieces of clothing unless you got them on sale because both of those places are ridiculously expensive.
(+10)$300 is $300 and it's still money wasted because before she had her few peices of expensive clothing and now she doesn't.
(0)that's not minimal that's like 6 pairs of pants and $300 is worth $300 no matter where you spend it

ydi for wearing ridiciously expensive stupid clothes. your sister did you a favor. lol
American Eagle and Hollister are bad stores, but they're not "ridiculously expensive". If you think /that's/ expensive, then you desperately need a touch of reality.

Sucks to be your sister for being related to a Whorister fag.
(0)you know, the problem with you people who think being non conformist is cool, and cutting up clothes is actually being against it is stupid. being non conformist is more about not caring about others, than actually taking action against them. if you actually try to be non conformist, such as cutting up "conformist" clothes, or whatever, you are more conformist for trying to be something you really aren't. also not caring about other people just makes you a fucking douche bag, and if you heard what the op said what she is like, you "non-conformists" would stop being fucking bitches and realize how stupid her sister was to waste $300, regardless of what the item was.
(+6)You deserve to get your money back from her, on account of your sister being a bitch. Yes, you did spend a ridiculuous amount of money for those clothes, but it's not up to her to decide what you do with your money.
(+6)I think it's kind of funny that her conformist-hating sister has a Myspace account. It doesn't get much more conformist than that.
That sucks, though. Plot some horrible revenge :D

YDI for wearing that crap, when you can get better made, non-brand name clothes for about a 3rd of the price.

You wanna talk about expensive clothing, go to Neiman Marcus.
Shit.
It's still $300 worth of goods.
(+2)I have two questions. why the fuck do you care what she wears, and how the hell is it any of your business?
(0)Beat the shit out of her. She's a hypocrite, too. I mean, a fucking MySpace account?
(0)samS knows what he's talking about.
(+1)Though those clothes suck, you don't deserve that.
FYL
(0)OP: If you dressed as uniquely as each and every one of the people claiming you deserve it no doubt do, this could have been avoided.
Snarkiness aside, wow your sister's a brat. Leaving her out of Christmas presents this year seems fair.
(-2)I agree with Fakepolice... You dirty broke posers whine too much.... And no not shopping at Hollister doesn't make you dirty and poor... Your non educated filthy lifestyle does... Not wearing hollister just makes it easy to point you out!!!
(-3)Too many negative votes, comment buried. Show the comment.
If you're stupid enough to pay 20 bucks for a shirt, and 60 bucks for jeans, you totally deserved it.
You can get that brand stuff at Thrift stores for dollars if you look hard enough.
(0)well, you're 15, so you would think that...
(-1)she bought it because the clothes are cool and comfortable.
ever here of something called fashion?didn't think so.
thats whats cool right now so u can excuse yourself and go live off in a place that doesnt give a shit about your clothes!
(-2)Actually, when I see someone wearing AE/Hollister I immediately stereotype them as lazy and unfashionable, blindly picking stuff off the racks because they can't coordinate for themselves. The people I would consider to be fashion "icons" make their own clothes, have them custom made, or at least tailor/alter them to be individual. Someone who truly follows "fashion" knows it isn't accomplished by merely slapping a brand's logo across their chest.
(+1)Not everyone has the time and money to make and alter all their own clothes, you are really naive if you think everyone can, us ADULTS have other priorities, but I guess if you are a teenager with Daddys unlimited money, it doesn't matter...and if custom clothes are the only kind acceptable to you, then you must think Hot Topic, TJ Maxx, Target and every other clothing store out there is for "lazy and unfashionable" people too...
wow what a bratty comment. You sound like the type that would pick on someone for wearing Payless shoes.
#213 - On 12/23/2009 at 10:27pm by expen_dable
(+1)I agree. I certainly don't have the time and resources to make my own clothes but I'm still really into fashion. The store you shop at doesn't designate how fashionable you are. Everyone I know (including me) shops at Urban Outfitters and Forever 21, yet I always come out buying different things than most everyone else because I have my own style. And what about thrift stores and vintage clothing? So many of my friends wouldn't even dare look in a thrift store but I always get a lot of compliments on the things I find there. People think the thrift store is the epitome of unfashionable, yet people know me as a fashionable person. So who knows, the OP could do a really good job of choosing what he buys at these stores. I know that this shouldn't, and doesn't, have any bearing on the situation, but I'm just saying since the conversation sort of veered in this direction.
And to be honest, not everyone is going to be a genius with fashion sense and style, otherwise fashion designers wouldn't be a highly regarded. It's just like an artistic skill, which is why a lot of math/science people are stereotyped to have no fashion sense.

(+1)People can have an interesting, fashionable style without having to make their own clothes. It's about how you put the items of clothing together. A person can look more 'unique' wearing all Hollister if they choose good pieces and put them together well than somebody wearing clothes they've made themselves.
(0)um excuse me, but i do pay for my clothes. I'm thirteen and I can still shop there so you don't have to go off and say I'm Daddy's little bank, he loves me and taught me to pay for my clothes which I do. So shut your trap unless you know what your talking to. And have you found fashion world yet? I think not. Anywhere you look people are were AE, Aero, HCo, and A&F. So don't criticize the teenager fashion.
(+1)Though those Preppy Expensive clothing has DoucheBag written all over it, your sister had no right to perform such actions.
If you wish to not turn the other cheek, ruin one of your sister's valuable that she purchased by conforming.
No one is an 100% Non-Conformist.
(+1)Prep these nuts
(0)Seriously, you need to stop trolling.. I see you on a bunch of posts acting like you're god... I got news for you. You're not. GTFO
(+3)cut up 300$ of her tec stuff starting with her computer power cord and then tell her don't worry you don't owe me 300$ anymore, see if that teaches her the meaning of respecting personal property and worth of money.
however your cloth brands do suck and i'd hate it if my sibling spent all their money on designer items that cost way too much, i just wouldn't have messed with stuff thats not mine
Seriously?
American Eagle/Hollister/etc. are NOT in any way designer clothes. It sounds like you believe everyone should only ever shop at Walmart.
These stores can be a bit on the more expensive side, but they're really not too bad.
#133 - On 12/23/2009 at 6:32pm by bgpink

#30 - On 12/23/2009 at 4:00pm by shaister

(+3)Make her pay you back - she's old enough to work.
(0)You broke lonely basterds!!! You sit on here whining about people who got money spending it on what they want because you aren't providing better for your sorry self! #36 - On 12/23/2009 at 4:06pm by Applepineapple31
(-1)Honestly. you sure are cool.
(+2)I hope you give your sister some payback
(-1)haha screw AE
(-2)I didn't click YDI because I don't think you did, but I refuse to vote FYL because you felt the need to specify that the clothes were AE and Hollister, making you look very pretentious. We don't CARE what brand they were; $300 worth of clothes is $300 worth of clothes and having them destroyed sucks. If you want to garner sympathy from here, go brag about how rich your family is somewhere else.
Also, tell your sister that protesting is conforming, and if she really wants to make a statement to find a permanent residency in Antarctica. That'll show 'em all! Oh, wait...
(+2)@#45 (in case it doesn't end up there due to a glitch) : Most times when I enter a thread in forums about being "anti-conformist, " the first two stores that people will bash are AE and Hollister as prime examples of conformity. So that actually makes sense for her to specify, or at least to me it does.
@OP : I may not like either store, but that is awful to lose out on so much money. I agree with others saying to get her back with small claims court if you can.
#60 - On 12/23/2009 at 4:41pm by EtcStar
(+2)Actually, she needed to say AE and Hollister because those are brands that whiny high school brats call "conformist." If she just said "my sister cut up my clothes because she thought I was a conformist" it wouldn't make as much sense...
I think the pretentious ones are the whiners saying that everyone who wears AE and Hollister are stupid. Sorry to break it to you, but some people like those clothes. And they wont stop wearing them just because angst ridden Myspace loving high schoolers have a immature crusade against them.
#68 - On 12/23/2009 at 4:53pm by kaleid0scopeEyes
(-1)Personally i like American eagle but I go to marshalls to buy them :) the only clothes I pay that amount of money for is lucky brand and that's only if I really like it, otherwise I wait untill it goes on clearance or go to the outlet store :)
(0)um dont judge her before you know her story, she bought it with her own money and dont say she wastes her money because some people know how to shop smart. they could be second hand or something if she doesnt mind wearing that. but i do agree with the last statement, protesting is conforming, and your sister is obviously a wanna-be non conformist, which is stupider that "conforming"

YDI for wearing the crap. Posers suck.
#46 - On 12/23/2009 at 4:21pm by saculmot
(+1)trying to be cool by pretending you are a non conformist sucks more. obviously if she goes on myspace and if she protests against conformity, she doesnt know wtf it means to be non conformist since she is trying to fit into a group she doesnt belong to.
(+1)If my sister pulled shit like that on my clothes, I'd break her fucking face.
#48 - On 12/23/2009 at 4:22pm by Sybe
(+1)I agree, completely.
(+2)Ruin $300 worth of her stuff in revenge! Make sure it's stuff she really likes so she learns her lesson!
(-2)You know what? At my job, there's a girl there who wears several hundred dollars worth of very nice clothing to work so she can be stylish.... She sorts boxes for UPS, and her "educated lifestyle" ass is the most worthless worker we have, not only that, but she's also a huge skank, and everyone who knows her, knows how worthless and troublesome she is... So those of you who point out people who don't wear the expensive clothing probably have people point you out behind your back for the worthless piece of sh** that you are...
And to the OP, sue your mother or your sister's guardian for the amount of the clothing, take the pictures and evidence from your sister's myspace page and turn it in as evidence to the small claims court and let your parents deal with the punishment on your sister for having to pay you back for the clothing... Legality is the way to go my friend...
FYL
(0)Even though I don't buy anything from Hollister I can still sympathize. Your parents (if you still live with them, and I'm assuming you do unless you and your sister just live together) should kick the shit out of your sister and make her pay you back. $300 is a lot of money, no matter how little the amount of clothes you usually get from those stores with that kind of money. Luckily it's almost Christmas (assuming you celebrate), so hopefully you can just steal all her Christmas money and say she probably misplaced it. Her fault- oops. Or, you can just take a bunch of her clothes and "accidentally" spill bleach all over them. Problem solved, now she's out a wardrobe as well and knows what it feels like to have all her shit destroyed. But either way, FYL, that truly sucks ass
(-1)Conformist is a bit of a stretch, but your taste in clothing sucks, loool. TBH, this isn't an FML, you can just tell your parents and VOILA!
(+1)well, sounds like your sister is the conformist here...
(+4)I'd say break her computer. Try to be a non-conformist without one, it's rough!

(+1)What a brat. Cut up all of her clothes.
#61 - On 12/23/2009 at 4:42pm by Frenz
(0)doesn't matter what brands they are and i've not really heard of these brands so i don't know why they are such a big deal but she shouldn't have wrecked them, whether a t shirt costs you $5 or $40 it's still yours. It's not like you were forcing her to wear them....
(-2)You deserve it for spending $300 to advertise for some company who's never paid you a dime.
(0)D14BL0 - Are you saying that she is advertising for this company who aren't doing anything for her? How thick can you get? They didn't pay her a dime because the worth is in the clothes...
(0)Really?? The only difference between hollister clothes and anything type of clothing out there is the logo
(0)She bought the clothes because they pleased her... It's not like they were forced upon her by the companies, meaning the clothes had value to her
(-2)You can't really say that, unless you've actually met OP
(0)The company is not forcing her to buy thier clothing, so if that is the brand the op likes, that is what she should wear. I know I love to buy things for myself, so the op probebley also gets enjoyment in buying clothing from those companies. I personally love coach purses and lucky brand, clothing, so those are the brands that I like and buy. If you personally don't like these companies, that's fine, but don't bash people just for there lifestyle choices.
(+1)I sometimes buy clothing from American Eagle and similar stores like A&F because I like how they look and they fit me well (and, luckily, I have enough money to do so). However, I never buy anything on which the brand name is prominently displayed, because I think that's tacky and stupid, and I have no desire to advertise to the entire world that I shop at these stores. So...judgment is really unnecessary. You have no idea what the clothes were like, or what the girl is like.
(0)Think if it like people buying lots of clothing from let's say Hot Topic or Wetseal. They like the brand so they buy it because they like it. Not to advertise it.
(0)I can say that Klu because the only reason she would have bought the clothes is to please her. There is no other reason
(0)conform to nonconformity!
(0)So true! I was going to say, the sister probably shops at Hot Topic and listens to bands she's force-fed via MTV or other musical outlet. A lot of young people are so "anti commercial" and "anti" this and "anti" that. I was like that to a degree when I was younger, but then you get older and realize that you don't really give two shits about what anyone else does. She'll learn one day.
(+1)You guys are right.
I had to write a paper on conformity vs. non-conformity for an exam in my creative writing class in grade 12, and that was pretty much the argument I came up with. Plus I've finally concluded that there really is no real such thing as "non-conformity" anymore. It's the preps vs the "alternative kids" (scene/emo/goth) vs the hip-hop scene. Everybody fits into one whether they like it or not, give or take some different styles depending on where you're located. I remember being 15 and being into the whole emo/goth appearance (not the pretending to be depressed thing which a lot of people did get into at that time) and I thought I was so cool and rebellious with my vampirefreaks profile and my myspace. Then I grew up and realized I was just like everyone else. Sure my clothing style and music tastes haven't changed much, but I've realized what sets me apart from those thousands of other teenaged girls: I actually genuinely like my style and music, I'm not just trying to "be cool" and "non-conformist".
After 4 years, I've realized what makes someone a poser and what makes someone "real": a poser, in any "group", whether it be prep, alternative, or whatever, is someone who tries to fit in. The girl who dreams of being a cheerleader and who pretends to like wearing heels that hurt her feet and all the latest fashions. The girl who wants to be the "non-conformist", dyes her hair black, writes angry blogs about how much her life sucks even though Daddy makes 6-digits, and cuts herself for attention.
What makes a person "real" to any given style is if they actually like it and adapt it to fit their needs; the girl who actually likes stores like AE and Hollister who doesn't pour over all the fashion magazines to see what's in, and who doesn't care if all her friends look like her. The girl who wears punk/emo/goth fashions because she likes them, doesn't bash people who choose "preppier" fashions, and doesn't feel the need to cry to online friends she has never met about how her life sucks when it doesn't because she knows it doesn't.
wow I've written a lot...but basically, OP, your sister is as much of a conformist as you or anyone else is so she should get over it. Plus she has no right to destroy any of your belongings no matter how much she disagrees with them.

(0)I`d still be kicking his or her ass if i had a sister or brother who did that.
#66 - On 12/23/2009 at 4:52pm by CooroDragon
(+1)Except for us ppl who try to be non-conformist by wearing what we want, not what we think will get a reaction from other ppl. There are ppl like that out there :D
(0)So many trolls for a single post.
(0)Slice her clothes... Simple solution
(+7)1) Clean out her closet
2) cash in on everything your local pawnbroker will take
3) donate remainder to goodwill
4) purchase GAP gift certificate with any cash remaining after the $300 has been recovered
5) present sister with aforementioned gift certificate
6) videotape reaction and post online
Go forth, I am waiting.
(0)Haha, that's pretty funny. I'm trying to restrain myself from agreeing, haha. But yeah, her sister needs to pay back somehow, and not by beating her up or something (because then her sister will come up with other terrible things to do to her). She should make her compensate for the money.
#242 - On 12/24/2009 at 12:42am by serenachicka
(+2)Wow, Im sick of all these emo/scene shitheads who think they can bad mouth everyone who isnt like them and then go out and play the victim role and say 'oh those preppy kids make fun of me for being different!' Grow the fuck up and stop being hypocrites. (And stop dumping the same amount of money into Hot Topic.)
As for the OP, YDI for not beating her to a bloody fucking pulp.
(-1) 67: so true! I wish kids would just wear clothing they like and find comfortable and not worry about what others may think.
(0)Uhm...I LOVE my jeans from Abercrombie and before you go hating on me spending $80 on one pair of jeans, they are the most comfortable and durable pair of blue jeans I own. The $30 pairs from other stores fell apart long ago while 4 years later, my Abercrombie jeans are going strong.
Ps. I agree that people shouldn't buy clothes for the brand name but for their fit, comfort, AND style. People DO judge based on appearance and so it is important to find clothes that are comfortable, durable, in your own price range, and are at least relatively in style.
#197 - On 12/23/2009 at 9:09pm by LMFAO_fail
(-1)Yes, some people DO judge on appearances--a lot of people see the AE or Hollister label and assume "douche." =)
(0)Uhm, why does everyone have to bash on other people's clothing? I understand that people will judge you on appearance (dressed sloppily/properly, revealing/conservative clothing, comfy/high-maintenance, etc...), but the actual clothing brands should not matter. I personally would not spend any more than $15 on a pair of jeans, but if someone does, I don't care. If someone likes it and is willing to spend more money for it, then good for them. I think it's ridiculous how all of you are judging each other based solely on where you get your clothes. There's more to a person than just their clothes. Get to know people first before you judge them. The bigger issue here is the fact that the sister disrespected her sister and ruined $300 worth of clothing, and I definitely think she should figure out a was to repay her and apologize for being rude.
#241 - On 12/24/2009 at 12:39am by serenachicka
(+1)People just like to complain about ANYTHING, the ops clothing brand choice is a easy target for them. If someone wants to buy a brand they like, that's there right to do so so these "nonconformist" need to stfu about the ops brand choices. I mean really "ydi for liking ae and hollister" people are just being idiots. I'm sure if someone cut up $300 worth of THIER clothing, they wouldn't think that they deserved it. People need to respect other peoples property. So if I want to spend $100 on a lucky brand hoodie, I will gosh darn it, don't be jelous :) personally I like to spend my money on a nice coach purse but I will occasionally go to the outlets to indulge in nicer brand clothing.
(-3)Too many negative votes, comment buried. Show the comment.
Ok, I agree with your sister someone OP, what's the point of spending $300 worth of clothing, probably only a pair of jeans, t-shirt and mabey a hoodie. But she still had no right to destroy your property. You should definatly sue her for it, using her myspace as evidence. But seriously, this wouldn't have happened if you didn't feel the need to waste that much money on such a small amount of clothing
(0)*somewhat, not someone lol
(0)Waste? What gives you the right to determine something a waste or not? The clothing had worth to the OP, and she wanted it so it wasn't a waste. But seriously, if her sister had any respect for other people's things, this wouldn't have happened.
(-1)I'm sorry, but it jut seems like a waste to me, I'm only saying it was a waste because that's my opinion.
(+1)Maybe, it wasn't just jeans and a hoodie.
Maybe she got them on sale, and it doesn't necessarily mean that she bought them all in one day.
I know that if I look in my closet I can find more than $300 worth of clothes and it's been over the years.
And, no, I do not shop AE or Hollister since there aren't really any of their stores near me, I think, either way, I don't care.
I do agree on one part, the OP's sis did not have any right. :/
(0)Yeah, I agree with #149. It could have been on sale. Either way, $300 worth of stuff is still $300, and that was incredibly impolite of her sister to do. She could have voiced her opinion, but she didn't have to shred her clothing and make her upset like that...
#240 - On 12/24/2009 at 12:33am by serenachicka
(0)well she might not have bought it at the store itself, i mean ae and hollister stuff last pretty long, and it is usually very nice fabric. if i found it somewhere else for very cheap, i would buy it. Its like saying spending money on good furniture that will last is bad when you can buy like ikea furniture, and while ikea has good stuff, i have also experienced that other furniture may last longer.
(0)Your sister sucks dick. Go shred HER clothes and videotape her reaction. Then, post it on youtube.
What goes around, comes around.
#76 - On 12/23/2009 at 5:00pm by KJRx
(0)FYL for having a stupid fight the power sister, however 300 dollar worth of close ain't that much so you still got lucky! Get back at your sister though.
(0)um 300 dollars is actually alot to spend, and you spelled clothes wrong. if u are 19 with a job yourself, like op said she was, and im guessing she is in college, that is alot of money for anything. you must not be making your own money to make a judgement like that
(-1)To everybody that is saying that OP should brat the shit outa her sister or shred her sisters clothes, that's really not gonna solve anything. It will probably only antagonize her sister to do something worse to OP.
(+1)But it's worth it. OP just gotta get a lock for her own door first...
If I was the OP, I'd pick right the moment the bitchy sister is on her PC to barge into the room with a baseball bat in hand and violently smash it all up right in front of her. Let's see her having the balls to come back after me once she sees THAT.
(0)So what is she supposed to do, let her sister get away with doing something disrespectful like that? I don't think the OP should get revenge on her sister so much, but she should definitely let her parents know so that her sister will compensate for the amount of damage she has done. She deserves to be punished for that. She is sixteen years old, and therefore should have enough sense to know better and not act like an angry five-year-old who does not know anything about the value of money.
#237 - On 12/24/2009 at 12:25am by serenachicka
(+3)Buy more clothes and tell your sister that the corporations thank her for giving you a reason to give them more money.
(-1)hollister? cheapskate.
#85 - On 12/23/2009 at 5:14pm by thekeeper
(+1)Destroy her computer and her phone, leave them in her room in a plastic tote full of salt water (use a whole bag of driveway salt).
#87 - On 12/23/2009 at 5:16pm by Lehk
(+2)Give her an injury that will take $300 dollars to fix.
Seriously, she can have her opinion and all, but she shouldn't be messing with your shit. Especially $300 dollars worth.
Plus she sounds like just as much as a 'conformist' as you, the dirty hypocrite.
I mean, I have a fucked up family but if any of them did that I'd consider chopping my family ties. At least to her.
(0)yet your sister isnt a conformist herself for using Myspace and having internet friends...wtf
(0)Okay, I find it funny that you seem to be calling befriending a few people online conformist. XD

(-4)Too many negative votes, comment buried. Show the comment.
It only would have happened anyway after a few more washes. Their material is fucking shit for the price they cost.
Additionally, if you buy all your clothes at Hot Topic, I judge you. Same overpriced shit, different style. (Note: I said 'all.' If you have a few outfits, that's fine since you're probably balancing it.)
(0)Not if you're careful. You can just dump them into a washer if it needs extra care obviously, but anyway, the choice of clothing is up to the people. I don't buy clothes from AE and stuff, but I think it's silly to judge people who do just for that. If people like those clothing brands, let them be. You're just spreading unnecessary hatred. =P
#238 - On 12/24/2009 at 12:29am by serenachicka
(+5)Okay, to all you idiots who say that $300 buys you a pair of jeans, you are idiots. I buy my jeans from Abercrombie & Fitch for $38 (because they're the only jeans that don't slip off of my ass), and Hollister is frequently cheaper than that. Also, $300 is $300 dollars, I doubt you'd like it very much if I took 3 $100 bills from you and ripped them into shreds, saying that you were conformists for actually paying for shit. This girl's sister is a fucking idiot, and if that was MY sister, you best believe that she would be nursing some VERY serious wounds right now. Hollister & AE aren't even all that expensive; compare to Versace, Louis, Prada, Ralph Lauren, and some other brands.
(-2)Is sarcasm really that much of a struggle for you?
(0)#95 Amen.
#112 Why, does it bothers you a lot that someone points out the truth?
(-2)Yeah, cuz a pair of $100 jeans isn't expensive AT ALL. Jesus, have you ever even been in an AE store?
(0)Not if it's a good brand of jeans, I've seen jeans that are a lot more then $100, but you can also find good jeans for $30. Why does it bother you how much other peole jeans are? To be honest, holister jeans are usually around $60 or so, you really can buy a good amount of clothing with $300, especially if you shop the clearance sections in these stores. The op could have boughten a ton of clearance items from these stores.
(0)have you? the most expensive jeans i've ever seen in ae were just under $60. you're a fucking idiot, stop listening to the dumb shit people spread around because they just can't afford nice things
(0)I don't even understand where jeans came from. The OP did not mention jeans, so why do so many people jump to jeans? I used to shop at AE in middle school, and I remember getting shirts there for $5 on sale. So who knows what the girl is buying.
I don't like jeans at all, I think they're uncomfortable, but it's important to get ones that work out well for you if you like them since they're such a staple.
@#377 I think they do that in Spain as well. Like something would cost 1.000,00
(+3)Demand that she replace the clothing and if she refuses, take her to small claims court and sue her for the value of the clothing.
For the most part, anyone who goes around concerning themselves with what brand of clothing someone else is wearing is obviously of a low intelligence level and lacks the mental capacity to consider matters of real consequence. Conversely, anyone who thinks they are superior to someone else because they grossly overpaid for a t-shirt probably has the intellectual firepower of a centipede, and should therefore be disregarded as well.
(+6)Turn on remember passwords on your family computer if you have one, after she logs in and then leaves, "shred" her account, delete all her friends and change her profile pic to porn. Maybe join some Nazi sympathizer groups while you're at it.
(+3)^ This.
#108 - On 12/23/2009 at 5:56pm by Aha09
(+2)dude. really, everyone on here that is saying "you suck for wearing hollister and AE." needs to just stfu. who cares if she's wearing that. if she has the money to buy those clothes, let her buy them. maybe she doesnt want to be the loser that buys shit from walmart. if she wants to "conform" and fit in, let her. its her life. at least she has one.
(-1)So... people who buy stuff from Wal-Mart are losers?
That's a very unenlightened view on things. I come from a low income family, my single mother can't work because she has a mental illness and therefore we survive off of $12,000 a year from disability and the $300 my father gives for child support every month is what I personally use for bills like internet, cell phone, bus pass, school supplies, etc. To make matters worse, I'm currently a college student who's incapable of working due to not being fluently French and having a completely English name--generally a big no-no in Quebec. Despite all my applications, I've only ever received one call back, and was hung up on when the woman calling realized I was English.
I don't have two pennies to rub together and therefore buy from stores like Wal-Mart when I need clothes. You can call me a loser if you like, but I'd rather spend money on my college education so I can afford a better life.
Don't be an ignorant bitch just because you're in a better situation than most.
#303 - On 12/24/2009 at 12:40pm by Lawlipop
(0)Are you replying to comment 100 or has fml misplaced your comment? If it's towards comment 100, there's nothing in that statement that bashes people that buy things from walmart or calls people losers...
(-1)I beg to differ. "The loser that buys shit from walmart" is right there in her post.

and for those of you who say non-conformists are poor and stupid you can take my IQ of 124 and my salary of 65000 dollars a year working as a telecomunications engineering technologist and suck it
(0)Lmao 124 IQ isn't even good, get off your high horse.
(0)Because my other comment disappeared...
#113, 124 isn't even a high IQ score, I don't know why you'd be bragging about it in an attempt to look smart.
(-1)Yeah really, I'm 15 and have an IQ of 130, you have nothing to brag about XD
An IQ of 124 is actually just above average.
And even while barely coming out of a recession, $65,000 per year isn't all that much to brag about.
Ditto to #117.
#137 - On 12/23/2009 at 6:42pm by bgpink
(-1)Actually, the average IQ is 100. And a genius IQ is 140. So he's quite smart, unlike yourself.
(0)I doubt any of you have IQ's over 110. ONLINE IQ TESTS DON'T COUNT AT ALL. They are ALL fake; the only way to honestly test your IQ is to go to a certified psychological facility to be evaluated. There you will receive official results. It kills me inside when some dumb teenager brags about his "135 IQ." The average IQ is around 100.
If your IQ was over 130, you could be in Mensa (you need a score of either 132 or 148 depending on what test you take). Mensa is a high IQ society for geniuses, and I doubt anyone here is one. There are only about 110,000 people in the world in Mensa, so the person who said 124 isn't good has no clue what they are talking about.
#141 - On 12/23/2009 at 6:49pm by Malinkrot
(0)I really doubt you'll believe me, but I've taken legitimate IQ tests and my IQ is between 147 and 153. I was in gifted classes in middle school which required an IQ of over 130. So yes, my IQ is above 110, and no, 124 doesn't impress me at all. Don't assume shit about people you don't know.
(-1)Bullshit. Stephen Hawkings and Albert Einstein were at 160, there is no way you are that close to them. There is no such thing as a middle school that only allows people with 130 IQ's to get into gifted classes. You are lying out your ass. Just shut up before you embarrass yourself even more. If your IQ was that high, you would be a famous child prodigy.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intelligence_quotient
Read this everyone; you'll understand why fudrick is a lying little turd. The average IQ is still 100 and online IQ tests aren't valid at all, so don't feel all smug when they says you are a genius. LMAO!
#161 - On 12/23/2009 at 7:18pm by Malinkrot
(0)"Bullshit."
I see my prediction was correct.
"Stephen Hawkings and Albert Einstein were at 160, there is no way you are that close to them."
So no one else has ever been at or above a 147 IQ? All you know of me is what I've posted on this FML, you don't have the knowledge to say that there's "no way" I could be that close to them. Could you please explain to me how it is impossible for me to have such an IQ? By the way, high IQ runs in my family. I'm a direct descendant of Benjamin Franklin, my grandfather has a higher IQ score than I, and my cousin is similar to myself in IQ.
"There is no such thing as a middle school that only allows people with 130 IQ's to get into gifted classes."
That's incredible that you've managed to visit every middle school in the world and learned the policies of the gifted programs of each one!
"You are lying out your ass."
Nope.
"Just shut up before you embarrass yourself even more."
No thanks.
"If your IQ was that high, you would be a famous child prodigy."
There have been thousands of people with IQ's similar to mine... Are they all famous?
Read this everyone; you'll understand why fudrick is a lying little turd."
Funny, I didn't come across anything in that article that said "fudrick's IQ is not above average" or anything to that effect.
"The average IQ is still 100"
True. There are a very large amount of incredibly stupid people in this world, however.
"and online IQ tests aren't valid at all, so don't feel all smug when they says you are a genius. LMAO!"
All IQ tests I have taken have been at the hands of certified professionals.

(-1)Malinkrot is right, I took Psych 101 this semester and learned that all the FIND YOUR IQ!! tests online are fake. You need to get a special test to really find out your IQ. Its really, really rare to have an IQ of 140. That's considered genius. Fudrick is definitely not a genius. But he's not alone, there are a ton of people who have overinflated ego's because some online IQ test told them that they were an ultra genius.
So fudrick, if you really are a genius, which IQ test did you take and at what testing place? I wont believe you anyway, but this sounds like a classic case of middle schooler getting a 150 on a fake Myspace IQ test.
#177 - On 12/23/2009 at 7:53pm by expen_dable
(0)"Malinkrot is right, I took Psych 101 this semester and learned that all the FIND YOUR IQ!! tests online are fake."
I feel sorry for you if you needed to take a Psych class to know that the online IQ tests are fake. =/
"You need to get a special test to really find out your IQ."
No shit. I've already said that I did this.
"Its really, really rare to have an IQ of 140."
Indeed. About .15% of the population has an IQ of 145 or higher (mean IQ = 100, stdev = 15, by the Empirical Rule, in a normal distribution, .3% of the population lies 3 standard deviations away from the mean in both directions, in case you were wondering where I got that) , and five points really isn't much difference at this level.
"That's considered genius. Fudrick is definitely not a genius."
May I ask how you can definitively say that I don't have genius level IQ?
"But he's not alone, there are a ton of people who have overinflated ego's because some online IQ test told them that they were an ultra genius."
I'm sure there are. Fortunately I'm not a member of this misguided crowd.
"So fudrick, if you really are a genius, which IQ test did you take and at what testing place?"
http://www.child-iq-testing.com/index.html
"I wont believe you anyway,"
Why did you ask then?
"but this sounds like a classic case of middle schooler getting a 150 on a fake Myspace IQ test."
Lol, definitely not.

(0)#129 - Klu_Klayu - Your IQ is theoretically supposed to stay the same throughout your life. There are certain things you can do to influence your score, but your score should be similar at age 8, 18, 38, etc. So who gives a flying eff that you're 15.
Also this comment pissed me off:
"There is no such thing as a middle school that only allows people with 130 IQ's to get into gifted classes."
(#161 - Malinkrot)
FALSE. The elementary school that I went to had a gifted program that required an IQ of at least 130 in order to be considered for the program. Then I moved to a completely different state and the gifted program at the middle school I went to also required an IQ of 130.
When I was tested, my IQ was scored as 132 and it was administered at my elementary school when I was in 4th grade. I will admit I am not certain who actually administered the test; it could have been someone involved with the school or an individual brought in to administer it.
#203 - On 12/23/2009 at 9:22pm by LMFAO_fail
(-1)@161
My boyfriend has been *officially* tested (i.e by a professional agency and NOT online) and has an IQ actually a bit higher than Einstein's estimated IQ (164 vs 160).
It's not as rare as you seem to think it is, and you are not an automatic celebrity because you have a really high IQ, especially if you don't give a flying fuck and don't flaunt it all the time.
Go argue elsewhere.
(0)um, George Bush has an IQ of 129, sooooo...
(-1)in response to all of those 124 is my iq it was tested by a professional agency and yes it may not be genius i never said it was the point was to show that not everyone who hates all of those shitty stores with $300 clothes is "stupid" as some people use as there extremly pitiful arguments. and btw "seanreddog" you are a fucking imbecile a telecomuncations engineering technologist is not an office job, it requires a large amount of field work working with fiber optics VOIP etc. so get your arguments straight. also for those who say 65000 (how much i make when i am working) even coming out of a recession is not that great take into consideration that, 1. i am only 23 years old and 2. that is after two years of schooling and three years in the field and i am currently not working as i am going to school to obatain my bachelor of applied information systems technology degreee so take that and shove it up your conformist asses.
(0)IQ is only one way to measure intelligence in theory one could score very high on an IQ test and still be stupid
(0)To clarify, you could have a high IQ but still think stupid stuff like #113 and #157 who think that it's okay to rip apart someone's clothes if you think they're a conformist
(-1)Where the fuck did I say I think it's okay to rip people's clothes up if you think they're a conformist? Obviously your IQ is incredibly low, as you have absolutely no reading comprehension.
(+2)I would've told her that you're a conformist for having a laptop right before it breaks on the floor.
(0)I agree with 96. Who gives a damn what brand others wear? It's inconsequential (or rather, it should be) and everyone should be able to wear what they like without hypocrites like the OP's sister ripping up clothes she doesn't like. 'Specially since the bitch goes on Myspace and has internet friends, and probably ONLY internet friends, if this is how she acts. FYL, OP. Take the legality route.
(0)Personally, I would have whooped her ass, told my parents why I whooped her ass and and make her me back for my clothes!
aww that sucks!

(+1)Okay, sorry I'm so uneducated. What the hell is a conformist? At OP... Why aren't you still beating that child's ass?
(0)A conformist is someone who just absolutly has to fit in with a crowd to b happy
(-1)YDI for wearing that preppy shit.
#127 - On 12/23/2009 at 6:26pm by gaahbeeey
(0)Agreed, but that doesn't give her sister the right to destroy it
(+1)pawn her clothes off, and leave 1 shirt and 1 pair of pants in her closet (yours of course) then use the money you gained from the pawning to rebuy your stuff. Because you left her your clothes, she'd be forced to become like you :D
(+1) I don't care much about my clothes. I get them from walmart and target lol! It doesn't mean I am poor, it means that I spend my money on electronics! I am a guy though! So no, where people buy their clothes from has nothing to do with whether they are poor or rich. it has to do with what people choose to spen their money on.
(0)I think the only way for your sister to have empathy is for you (or your parents depending on your age) to remove something or things that belong to your sister...i.e. iPod, netbook, clothes, whatever. And the parents should take away her computer for a while so she doesn't have little bratty friends to brag to when she does a bad deed. Your parents should know about this and punish her...this is not good behavior.

(0)Wow, her logic is screwy. MySpace is pretty darn conformist. Does she have a Twitter, Facebook, and AOL Instant messenger too to brag about the latest property she's destroyed??
#138 - On 12/23/2009 at 6:46pm by pickle2727
(+1)Ah, they joy of idiotic little sisters..I feel your pain, OP. Only, my mum let my sister do/steal whatever she wanted.
I've had a job since 15, been paying for all of my own clothes, cellphone, and food since 16. Sister is now 17 (18 in 2 months) and still gets stuff handed to her on a silver platter. She also stole what I buy, and when I complained about it, my mother yelled at ME and told me to leave her alone.
Thank god for getting married and moving out.
(0)@113-The only way to be truly non-conformist is to not care if you're conformist or non-conformist.
-Advice from someone qualified for MENSA.
(+1)Hmm... Mensa? With that kind of thinking did you mean Black Mesa?
(0)Aah, the old hippie/emo 'non-conformacy'. Exact any revenge on her that you wish, safe in the knowledge that it couldn't possibly be excessive.
(0)ugh wrong quote.
(-1) You ARE conformist. 300 bucks? Shit man.
(0)It's $300.
Who cares what she spent it on. It's still $300 worth of goods.
(0)Little bitch,, haha I'd kill her and steal $300 from her
(0)Good on the OP for having a job and for doing what they want.
OP, your sister reminds me of my brother. I'm all for pawning off her clothes. Charity maybe?
(+1)I can't believe how many people here think that you deserve it for wearing that stuff. Yes, it's kinda expensive, it does not make for an acceptable reason to tear it up! Oh God, I would destroy the sister's goth/punk/hippy whatever she is clothes if I were in that position. This is making me flash-back to seventh grade when I myself was anticonformist. Good thing I halfway conformed...
(+1)You deserve it for being a conformist
(0)Hey, anyone ever noticed that most "nonconformists" are pretty much the same as each other?
(+1)Well, my friend, that's simply the out-group homogeneity effect in action! Conformists such as you, me, and many other productive members of our great society see the distinctions in our dress, mannerisms, and other distinguishing characteristics quite readily because we are conditioned to through or extensive experience with other conformists (henceforth referred to as the in-group). Non conformists (the aforementioned out-group) all look, sound, and most certainly act, alike to fine folks like you and me because of our blessedly limited interactions with them. Though we might easily distinguish between "our" brands of clothing (AE, A&F, Gap, Polo, D&G, etc.), we have no frame of reference to determine which of "their" clothes came from Hot Topic, and which were bought at the local thrift store/flea market. A modern anthropologist such as myself could only begin to imagine the veritable cornucopia of different subsets that exist within the emo/scene/nonconformist/useless youth group without greater dissection of their "culture." However, I couldn't care less, and in closing I say to all you eyelinered myspacedrones, "get a haircut, and get a real job." (G. Thorogood)
-Double D

(0)anyone whoever touches my stuff gets a fist surprise :] in the face or down below.
(0)hell to the YEAH
(+1)Burn your sister's clothes & books, smash her electronics until you're -$300 even.
(0)why does it matter people wear what they want to it doesnt matter if its conformist or not they still lost $300 worth of clothes it doesnt matter what brand or name or what ever its still wrong to do no matter what seriously you people who say that the OP deserved it how would you like it if somone did that to your clothes
(+1)YDI for wearing those types of clothes.
#173 - On 12/23/2009 at 7:36pm by silverspire29
(0)Let me guess, you're a non-conformist? You shop at Hot Topic right? Listen to 'dark' music and all that other great shit? Or maybe, you couldn't give a shit about your appearance. Maybe you just wear whatever happens to be on clearence at Walmart, hell if I know.
All I know, is if you have the money for something, why not get it? Would you yell at someone who had a nicer house than yours simply because their income allows them so? No. So why should this be any different?
(-1)Your sister sounds awesome!
(0)While YDI for being a walking billboard, I have to ask...
So, she posted her crusade against conformity on Myspace? Really? Myspace?
#175 - On 12/23/2009 at 7:46pm by Viscount
(+1)Everyone saying OP deserves it for wearing those brands, shut the fuck up, you silly cunts. She has every right to wear whatever damn brand of clothes she wants.
OP, my word I'd be so livid if I were you. Your sister is an enormous fucking bitch. I suggest seeking revenge. Destroy her computer for one thing (there may be a way to do it without her being able to tell you did).
(0)Pouring water all along her keyboard and sticking gum in any holes on the monitor or laptop itself...
#183 - On 12/23/2009 at 8:14pm by Aha09
(0)I'd probably strangle your sister. I've bought my own clothes, shoes, and electronics since I was 16 and got a job. I buy clothes I like, regardless of brand name. If I want to have a couple pairs of expensive jeans or shirts, that's my business and no one else's. I refuse to spend more than $20 on jeans and usually get them on sale. I paid $10 for a pair of $90 jeans once because I was smart about it. I wear what I like and that's my business. The biggest names I wear on a regular basis are Arizona and Converse though...
But anyone saying you deserved it have probably never had to buy their own clothes and get everything from their parents. So they just don't get it. And they won't.
(0)For everyone who is saying the OP deserves it, anyone who doesn't make their own clothes is conforming in some way, because you're buying the same clothes a million other people have. And no one deserves 300 dollars worth of their things destroyed, no matter where they came from. If I were the OP, I'd beat the crap out of my sister.
(0)YDI FYL ! Merry Christmas and Happy all the other retarded Holidays that people celebrate.
(0)thats what you get for being a conformist.
(0)Really? Go bitch somewhere else about it. Hollister is shitty, anyways. All their clothing wears out incredibly fast - she just saved you some time.
(0)Dude,if that was my sister i'd kick her ass.
(-3)Too many negative votes, comment buried. Show the comment.
LOL I hate those preppy stores. Eff Abercrombie, Hollister, American Eagle, and all those other shitty crap places! Tell your sister thanks ^-^
also, YDI :)
(+1)I hope someone cuts up $300 worth of YOUR clothing! Maybe then, you would think you deserved it?how about you think about how you would feel if this happenedto you
(0)She both admitted and and gave proof, you can make her pay you back.
(0)Take the heatsink out of her computer while she's not home and wait for her to turn it on. When the whole thing goes up in flames, tell her she deserves it for being a miserable cunt.
(0) I beleive your sister weres black and cuts herself
(-1)Yeah, you definitely deserved that. It's like the one where the guy bent down and his $80 jeans ripped. It's all your fault for buying such expensive clothing just because it's a certain brand, when there is plenty of clothing out there that is just as good or better (and usually better-looking and/or more comfortable) for 1/3 the price, at most. There's conformity, of which everyone is guilty to varying degrees, and then there's just fucking moronic.
YDI. And go sterilize yourself. Idiots make me sick.
(0)Why do you care what other people spend their money on? You don't have to wear it and the money's not coming out of your check so why do you care? That's the problem with people. Caring too much about things people do that don't affect them in any way. People like you really need to get lives.
#195 - On 12/23/2009 at 9:07pm by star_ver
(+1)So if someone cuts up $300 of your clothing, you would be ok with that then? Good to know!
(0)Who are you talking to? Not me, I hope. I was pointing out that the dickhead above me shouldn't care where other people shop if they aren't spending his/her money.
#198 - On 12/23/2009 at 9:14pm by star_ver
(0)You have no idea how much clothing that was. So, you don't own more than $300 worth of clothing? AE and its competitors are nowhere NEAR the most expensive clothes available. Hell, AE isn't any more expensive than the ubiquitous MACY's. OP could have used a gift card or splurged when there was a sale.
Would the sister have been at fault if it was $300 from wallmart or the thrift store? It doesn't make a difference. Wear whatever you want, but if you're seriously going to judge people on what they choose to wear: Grow the fuck up. It's a matter of personal taste.
1) Three hundred fucking dollars were completely wasted.
2) OP's bratty younger sister had no right to destroy her stuff, no matter how much she disapproves.
Judgemental people make me sick.
(0)Why do you care? Are you jealous because you've never had $300 to spend on whatever you wanted yourself? The OP even said that she worked for that money and she can spend it on whatever she wants regardless of any standards that YOU set up for her as to what it means to get a good deal on clothes. Just because you're jealous doesn't mean she can't be happy.
(0)Star_ver are you new to fml? No I was talking to LH0026, when you hit the reply button it goes under the main person, but if other people comment on the same person, the comments will appearcin the order that they are recieved.
(0)#190 You must make yourself sick then.
(0)Honestly? I don't give a shit what other people do, buy, or wear, because I'm a selfish asshole and I only care about myself. I come on here to bitch people out because I don't have the balls to bitch out my parents or teachers when they make me want to fucking kill someone. So go ahead, insult me all you want...it's really helpful when I need to blow off steam.
:)
(0)wtf they're still clothes. who cares if they're expensive or not? it's not just the rich people who shop at Hollister, Aeropostal, American Eagle, Abercrombie & Fitch, and all those stores. Hot Topic is a lot more expensive than they are.
you can buy $300 worth of clothes anywhere. even walmart (believe it or not)
and about myspace, it seems like you don't like it.... but just because you don't like it, that doesn't mean you can tell other people that they deserve something bad because of myspace or whatever.
(+1)LOL @ people caring what *you* spend your money on and what *you* choose to wear. Also, LOL @ people thinking American Eagle is expensive. FYL, OP. No one deserves to have $300 worth of their property destroyed. Your sister is a moron. Hopefully she won't reproduce.
#194 - On 12/23/2009 at 9:06pm by star_ver
(0)All of the posters who are ripping on the OP for wearing AE or Hollister can go fuck yourselves. Wearing that stuff does not make you conformist. The only thing that makes you a conformist is wearing or doing what everyone else is even though you don't really want to or it's out of character. I wear AE, Old Navy, Hot Topic, and even thrift store finds because I LIKE IT. If the OP likes AE and Hollister, that's her decision and she doesn't have to live up to anyone else's standards to what they think is cool or not. Hot Topic can be just as "conformist" as AE can.
OP that really sucks. Your sister is a huge bitch. Either pour bleach all over her gothy/emo clothes or "accidentally" spill soda on her keyboard (not water because that might not do anything once it dries.)
(0)Steal $300 worth of her stuff, and sell it on ebay.
(0)If the clothes she shredded were from Abercrombie, Ed Hardy, or Affliction, this wouldn't be so bad.
(0)man i would give her a mothafuckin beat DOWN. torment her until she coughs up 300 bucks for you to replace that shit. that's not cool, she sounds like a terrible person.
(0)Wow, I can't believe people are making a big deal about making the clothing being expensive at AE and Hollister. I used to think Hollister and American Eagle were really expensive...when I was in highschool (yes, I do pay for all of my own clothes, and have for about three years now). I don't buy all of my clothes there by any means, but I do shop there. Hollister...and especially AE are not as expensive as everyone is acting like they are.
Anyway, FYL. She needs to pay you back for that.
(0)Um, so do the same thing back?
or whine to your mama, and your sister can conform into being grounded.
I mean, it's not like you don't have proof.
(0)aw man this totally sucks!! ur sis is a douche. $300 on those brands is hard to earn. i feel for you because i shop there too, and i know that i freak if they get dirty. u need to get her back HARD!!
#218 - On 12/23/2009 at 10:47pm by immastarr
(0)Dude, who gives a fuck what she buys people. Everyone's completely straying off topic about her sister shredding her clothes. And not everyone has the time and skills to make their own clothes so stop assuming everyone should do that. Just because you can't afford something or you think something is expensive doesn't mean the rest of the world thinks the same. And it's not like wearing clothes from certain brands hurt other people. GET OVER IT. I'm surprised that I even bother with the amount of morons online.
(0)Just because you don't like the clothes doesn't give you the right to judge the person O.o And it doesn't make it right for hir sister to rip it all up! Some of you must have never been to a real mall if you think Abercrombie is expensive! O.o are you kidding me?? Hello, ever heard of designer anyone? Lol in reality a-f is not that expensive and neither is hollister.
(0)Okay I'm not a complete non-conformist but I like to see individuality. I read this somewhere
"Being individual is tough in a world that is trying to make us all the same" or something like that. I like to be individual and I can understand why people want to fit in but honestly, if you can't hold your head up high and ignore the insults and walk away from the fights than you aren't worth anything. Why would I wear jeans that were uncomfortable for fashion? Why can't I be comfy and fashionable? It's pointless to stress your body and mind over something so pointless. Whoever said that just because you wear the same clothes brands that you fit in? Why can't we be individual and friends? I mean think back to kindergarten people. Did you honestly care who the hell you played tag with as long as you were having fun? Why can't it be like that all the time? Why can't somebody who is wearing all black with their hair pulled over one eye walk up to somebody who is blond and wearing pink and purple and bright clothing and just say hi? I bet it's because they are different or they don't seem right. I think the world needs to learn this:
Everybody is different and there is always two sides to one story.

(0)*sighs* We can only wish. Inside, everyone is selfish and greedy. People naturally care about themselves more than others. (Also, do you see how people who barely know each other are yelling at each other through comments and cursing at each other?) I find it silly for people to bash on other people, thinking that they can change someone else's beliefs. But yeah, hatred spreads and everyone "knows" their right, so no one listens and everyone just gets more frustrated/angry. So we just have to deal with it, unfortunately.

(0)crazy
(0)Holy shit, I would be unbelievably pissed. I'd probably go burn all her clothes and say that's for being a conformist for wearing clothes.
(0)Your sister says you're a conformist and yet she has a myspace page? Talk about calling the kettle black. That sucks.
I would tell you to break her leg razor, but I doubt she even has one.
(+1)This is crazy. Conformist, nonconformist, no one gives a shit. Everybody's an individual. If op wants to wear ae then let her, it's her choice. Also, getting $300 dollars worth of clothes ripped up, despite whoever makes, sucks. Her sister should get over her little non conformist phase and start being respectful to her family. No one deserves to get their shit ripped up for being themselves. For everyone saying the op deserves it and "go your little sis," fuck you. Im neither conformist nor non conformist. Stop bitching about where your clothes are from and get along. This is exactly why people fight so much. If your wondering where i get my clothes from its everywhere; kohls target macys sports authority, whatever. It doesnt fucking matter.
This comment has been moderated.
(+1)I don't wear AE or Hollister because I'm cheap, haha. I buy what I think looks good for much cheaper. But if the OP likes wearing clothes from there, it doesn't really matter. She is the one who bought it because she likes it, and her sister is immature and inconsiderate for shredding up her clothes like that. At 16 years old, she should know better than that.
To the OP, you should totally rat her out to your parents. Your sister needs to learn the value of money, and she needs to learn to respect you for being you. The issue here isn't about the brand of clothing. Everyone has different styles and may disagree with the clothing choices other people make, but if we didn't, we'd all look the same (ew). The issue here is your sister's disrespect, and she needs to somehow compensate the $300 worth of clothing that she shredded into pieces.
#233 - On 12/24/2009 at 12:12am by serenachicka
(-1)Wearing big brand clothing that the person standing right next to you wears is not being yourself. Being yourself would be spending little on clothes that you like, and you've never seen anybody wear before.
(+1)being yourself is wearing what you like, it doesn't have to have never been seen before, if you like it you wear it. wearing something never seen before would be being unique which is different to being yourself
(0)Ok Mr. Caulfield. Do you MAKE your own clothes? ALL your own clothes?
(0)Caulfield's just mad that he can't afford to buy these brands so he makes himself look "cool" by bashing people that can. "o I'm soooo cool, but really I can't afford these brands, so I'm gonna try and make it cool to not like these brands" I mean really, obviously you do care if it makes you angry that people buy these brands. While I agree that some people go a little overboard with there brand matching (I mean really your ass, chest and head have to have the same logo? As well as your sunglasses, purse, and shoes?) most people that I know wear only one piece of clothing that has a visable logo, then the rest of thier clothing are wither 1) different brands or 2) have no visible logo on them. So really stfu and stop bitching because no ones buying your whole "brand names suck" argument. We know you just are jelous, what did some person wearing a "brand" name make fun of you or dumped you?
(0)Holden, you're hype. It's virtually impossible to wear clothes that someone in the world isn't wearing unless you make them yourself (if you even have the time to). So basically what you're saying is if you walk into a store to buy clothes, you're not being yourself. You have the weirdest logic.
#394 - On 12/29/2009 at 6:00pm by serenachicka
(0)If you destroy everything she holds dear in revenge, we will all say its awesome.
(0)Whether it's from Hollister or not, that really sucks. I would kill my sister hahaha
(-1)That sucks, but Hollister? I might have thoughts of doing that too.
How much can you get there for 300$, 3 pairs of pants...?
FYL but YDI.
(0)Your sister has a point. Of course, I would suggest the same with whatever she wears.
(0)Who the hell still uses Myspace?
(0)Haha! I don't even know what Hollister is. :p I don't use the mall.
(0)most of you people that commented are stupid for saying that a brand of clothing defines someone as a person.
and your sisters a bitch.
(0)I'm sorry that your bitch of a sister destroyed your clothes.
(0)dude. $300 isnt even that much. stop fucking crying. thats like 2 jeans and 4 shirts
(0)thats funny because im 16 and im learning about comformity hahaha what a stupid hoe

(-2)Your sister is the kind of person I would be BEST friends with. I read alot of the comments and understand that the majority of you are morons. Fuck you, you stupid republican white collar (or not, if you were just dooped into the party because you're a duncecap) idiots. I would not have expected that so many assholes could be on a website that is supposed to be about hating your life, or not understanding it at least. Maybe you don't understand your life, but the fact that you (the "victim") have whored yourself out to the conformist hypocracy that is the majority, is wrong. Fuck you, and fuck your capitalist American bullshit (though I am American). Mezmirize the simple minded, propaganda leaves us blinded.
(0)im really lmaoing at this comment, i hope it was intended to be sarcastic
(+1)Just for reference... FML is not about hating your life, it's about sharing a laugh at one's own expense with potentially millions of strangers for the betterment of mankind. Websites about hating your life include:
Livejournal (most)
Xanga (all)
Myspace (all of those that are not obviously 45 year old men with profiles that make them out to be attractive young women, and/or Tila Tequila)
Any fansite dedicated to any "emo-rock" band (Except possibly Green Day, who have at least a semblance of musical ability, even if they do wear eyeliner and attract fans such as yourself)
Any "how-to's" on nonconformist culture, including: How to dress, What to listen to, Who to associate with, What corner of the mall food court to lurk about in leering at the pastel-colored masses, and of course, how to properly cut oneself (remember kids, cuts perpendicular to the vein are for posers, True Believers cut along the direction of bloodflow.)
This extra-special bit of sparkle brought to your life by:
-Double D

(0)Troll stfu
(-1)Wow you stupid, anarchist bitch. Why don't you go fuck your precious Obama while the rest of us "republicans" earn the money which you go and collect from your fucking welfare check?
(0)Awesome, another thirteen year old moron who thinks he's original by being the exact stereotype of an emo kid. You aren't a non-conformist because none of the normal kids talk to you, you're just a loser. And please brush up on your spelling, that paragraph was pretty painful to read.
(0)...you wrote "meow" on your own picture...
#328 - On 12/24/2009 at 6:06pm by Malinkrot
(0)Please don't quote System of a Down in an argument like this, they are too good of a band (in my own opinion) to be used to bash other people. They're for human rights and all that humanity stuff, not insulting others...Plus that song has a political statement, such as Tiananmen Square and nothing to do with what kind of clothes people buy.
(0)#253 does not represent the majority of the Democrats, just the very few crazy ones
(0) HAHAHAHAHA!! should of spent that money on other things.
(-1)Why don't you ask the kids at Tienemen Square? Wasn't fashion the reason they were there? They disguised it, hypnotized it, television made you buy it. You, the writer, have been hypnotized by the idiots that you have grown up with. Sorry if I seem selfish in questioning your life, and the lives of many, but it just makes sense, and you can't right this wrong. Truly, fuck your life, I would've killed myself if it wasn't for Green Day and AFI to remind me I'm not alone, maybe you should break from your gay little cliques and the mainstream. Your sister's a fucking genius. I can't help laughing at how long my comments both are...
(0)Wow, aren't you cute quoting System of a Down lyrics. I really hope you're being unbelievably sarcastic, or else you're just a total idiot. Anybody who has the capabilities to comment on an FML (ie has access to a computer and internet, and an interest in a popular website) is "conformist." Everybody conforms to something. And quoting System of a Down is about as conformist as you can get. I love that band, but not because I want to be "non-conformist." I just like their music. People who do anything for the express purpose of being a non-conformist is conforming to the idea of being non-conformist. As far as attacking Republicans out of nowhere, you just go to show how closed-minded people who call themselves "liberal" can be. I am very liberal in my political beliefs, but I have no problem listening to other people's opinions and I understand that other people's views and life experiences are just as valuable as mine.
Also going to restate that anyone with an account and an active interest in this site is conformist. It's popular lately and therefore you're just conforming to something that's mainstream and popular. Conformity is such a stupid concept. EVERYONE conforms to SOMETHING. Including idiots who quote the most "mainstream" alternative metal band in existence to try to sound different and cool. I'm sure you get your clothes at Hot Topic and write sad poems in your diary just to be different, like everyone else.

(0)Holden whatever the fuck, you are so ignorant it's not even funny. You are the epitome of a pseudo-intellectual, i.e. someone who thinks he is so goddamn smart that intelligence shines out of their ass when really shit is spewing from his mouth. You take music so damn seriously, and the funny thing is that you are absentmindedly absorbing all the shit they sing about without even understanding it. Your fucking retarded words aren't even your own. The best part is that your "Hypnotize" lyrics are incorrect. Let me tell you right now that you don't have any understanding about America or politics or even the culture you try to associate yourself with.
Sorry for such a clichéd argument everybody, but I had to say "fuck you" to this kid because he needed it.
(0)This. (to thekillercure, not HoldenCaulfield)
But look, Mr. Salingerunderstandsmeandmyemoangst is 13. Most middle schoolers don't know better than to unquestioningly accept and parrot whatever mainstream, mass produced "counterculture" being sold at the moment by all the big chain "scene" stores.
(0)Also, to add to your arguments, Hypnotized has NOTHING to do with the argument at hand here. I really doubt Serj Tankian and the rest of System of a Down give a flying rats ass about what clothes you wear.
(0)Just beat her head in with her copy of Twilight. I know she has one.
(0)LOL
(0)Oh, and Salingerwannabewossname? Seriously, go play in traffic, you took this whole thing waaay too seriously.
(0)#27, maybe some people don't like thrift stores because the clothing is used and it might freak people out.
#253, just because someone has American Eagle and Hollister clothes doesn't automatically make them a republican conformist. Try graduating high school before you talk shit.
Your sister is a cunt and if she did that shit to me with any of my clothes from AE, Target, Forever 21, or whatever, she would be in the hospital.
(0)Some people have the money to spend a good amount on clothes so why the fuck not? I like all these tards saying that you can only be original by 'makin yer own clohtss mannn,.' WTF, I don't go out shopping and have, "damn, I can't buy that because then I would be conforming!!!!1111" on the brain, I'm thinking, "Oh, yeah, I like this shirt, I think I'll buy it."
Theres nothing like a bunch of ignorant comments to really get your blood boiling. Someone that commented said she, " deserved it for conforming." What. The. Fuck.
I'll request that your local psychiatric ward send you a pamphlet on theyre living facilities and treatment bc thats where you need to be for thinking that anyones clothes deserved to be shredded because of 'conforming.'
(0)*their
God forbid I use the wrong spelling, the grammar natzis will tear me a new one.
(0)VE have VAYS of Dealing Vis You!!
(0)did you spell NAZIS wrong en purpose or are you really that ignorant
(0) SO TAKE ALL YOUR SISTERS CLOTHES AND DO THE SAME
(0) For all you saying she deserves it your all just pissed because you're all too damn poor to afford clothes from anywere except goodwill so FYL's!
(0)money is money. i'd give her the shot to pay you back (only because she's family) and if she chooses not to I'd press charges for destruction of property.
(-3)Too many negative votes, comment buried. Show the comment.
haha, your sister is awesome.
give me her myspace link, i wanna praise her :D
you deserve it for being one of those idiots that spend $80 for a pair of jeans, and $60 for a hoodie just because it says "hollister" or "american eagle", or because it has a little eagle logo on it.
get some originality in your clothing, then maybe your awesome sister wont cut up your stupid, overpriced, idiotic, preppy clothing :)
(0)I thought that this thread had already established that the majority of people here think you and yours are a bunch of pretentious pseudointellectual blowhards and that we should be spared your inane rantings. Originality doesn't exist in clothing. Period. Get over that fact and you'll be a lot happier in life.
Taytay09 = Fucktard.

(0)See people liek you are the people that turn into serial killers! Quit being a hypocritical bitch and get the hell over yourself. Let your little sister do that shit to you and see what happens... I bet your one of those stupid emo goth people that dont take baths out of rebellion and shop at hot topic... Some of us take pride in the way we look!
(0)congrats, you're an idiot :] you can get $30 jeans and $20 hoodies from american eagle, and here's the real trip: THEY'RE ACTUALLY NICE. whereas you're such a cool little mallgoth that you probably go spending $50-$60 per pair on your jeans just because they say tripp or ufo on them (just to have them fall apart after you wash them once--yeah, i went through that stage too kiddo), i can get a whole outfit that'll probably last me over a year.
(0)Haha I'm probably being super repetitive by stating this, but hey why the hell not...Conformist or "non-conformist" (though really, it's impossible to be completely original, but thats another argument), AE/Hollister or Hot Topic or Wal-Mart or homemade clothes...it's fucking $300 of her own money. Sure her sister doesn't have to like the "preppy" brands or whatever, that's her opinion. She has no right to destroy her sister's clothing. Period. It's one thing if you disagree with or dislike someone's style or whatever, but you're way out of line if you think it's okay to destroy their property, which they worked for and paid for themselves. That was an incredibly disrespectful, immature, cruel, and hypocritical thing for OP's sister to do.
On the other hand, I wouldn't recommend OP going and destroying her sister's property as revenge. She would just be sinking to her sister's level and be just as much of an immature, disrespectful lame ass. Plus, the sister will probably only be more spiteful and look for something worse to do in return. As several others mentioned, she needs to take the evidence to her parents and maybe even to a small claims court. Get the money's worth back, but be the "bigger person" about it.

(0)wow. everyone that's all like "you suck because you wear better clothes than me" needs to get a life. scene little emo bitches need to shut the fuck up and buy some normal damn clothes. you think youre a "non conformist" because you wear skinny jeans and band tees? think again. look at all your gay ass friends...what are they wearing? OH! what do ya know, the same exact fucking thing as you. thats so "non conformist." and you all know if someone took $300 worth of your shitty clothes and shredded them you wouldnt be like "oh well, i guess i deserved it" would you? exactly. stop your bullshit and get a life.
OP, your sister should go die.
(0)I feel bad for you if you now have to spend Christmas wearing your underwear and some paper bags, but your sister is just priceless.
(0)I would set ALL her clothes on fire the BITCH!!
(0) $300... so that was what? 2 shirts and a half a set of flip flops? that sucks though. kids are stupid.
(0)63 is sooo right and so is 283 lol i wold get all her stuff and set fire to it and then make her buy me new stuff
(0)Lame.
1. Hit her in the head repeatedly.
2. Force sibling into slavery to earn money back.
3. Profit!
Pair of jeans and and two t-shirts achieved.
(0)Beat the shit out of her with a baseball bat then post it on her myspace so all her little bitch friends can see where being a psycho emo bitch will get you
(0)That sucks, especially seeing as how your sister is such a hypocrite.
(0)Cut her hair when she's sleeping.
(0)Then, take her computer and shred it. Everybody has a computer. It's so conformist.
(0)Wow, ok, youre being a really fucking stupid bitch for buying that crap.
Because, think, who the fuck wants to buy some clothes from a place that smells like a hooker convention(Hollister.) and its so damn expensive. Who wants to buy something from there thats like $60 and then the fabric is so thin it rips after a month. Honey, Im with your sister, go buy some decent non-whorey clothes.
(0)Why does it bother you so much? If you don't want to buy it, that's perfectly fine, noone is saying that you have to. But don't tell me that I can't buy stuff from these stores and that it's ok for someone to rip up MY personal property. Would you like it if I ripped up your clothing because I didn't like it and told you that you deserved it? or break your stuff? No, I wouldn't think so, so how about you think about how angry and upset you would be if it happened to you, you freaking idiot!
(0)also # 305. what would you consider a non hooker scent, that nasty smelling body spray from zeller? or like a hippy with all those insence you can buy at hot topic? hollister sells t shirts and sweaters. hot topic sells corset tops and trshy skirts. im thinking hot topic is alot more like a hooker and completely indecent. every emo kid i know is a total slut with skirts so short you can see their twat. maybe the extra 60$ is for more fabrit to cover the conformist tits
#319 - On 12/24/2009 at 2:57pm by cxnt12
(0)Im not a total slut.... =(
(0)have you ever actually been in hollister or are you going by what the rest of your little non-conformist friends tell you?
(0)I've been in their but it was really smelly so I left.
(0)"..fabric is so thin it rips." Time to start buying the next size up?
(-1)You deserve it for buying Hollister & AE in the first place.
As for the rest of you -- you're fecking retarded for arguing on the internet. It's like running in the Special Olympics: even if you win, you're still retarded.
(0)Win but lose for hatin on a simple corporation.
(0) haleyisabeast says it perfectly thank you Haley!
(-1)$300 worth of ae and hollister? what's that, a hat and a scarf?
#314 - On 12/24/2009 at 2:18pm by barkman173
(0)haha i moderated this one
(0)Drill out her eyes, remove her organs from them, neatly arrange them, take pictures, post them on her myspace and say "She conformed and died. Also she conformed and had organs".
(0)haha, i used to be just like the op's sister. some stupid emo bitch. i was failing every class i took and didn't have respect for anyone or anything. i thought i was so cool and important. but than i grew the fuck up and realized that some of the "conformist" clothes and so conformable because everyone wears it. everyone wears it because they just happen to be really nice clothes and look really good. hmm go figure, the majority of the population like things that are of good quality. I figured out i couldnt ever get a bf cause all the "non-conformist" and emo guys were all literally sucking dick. turns out every emo boy i know likes men. and found out everyone of my friends were making fun of me for years becuase of the way i acted and dressed. now im a "conformist" have a clean police record and am on the honor roll. im a "conformist" because im not a low life and have a future.
op, push your sister off a cliff
#318 - On 12/24/2009 at 2:47pm by cxnt12
(0)I shop at am eagle and hollister all the time because they make top quality clothing
(0)Good god. Seriously, FYL. Just because the clothes were from Hollister or American Eagle doesn't mean they're OMGZZZSOOOOOSUPEREXPENSIVE. I've gotten shirts from AE for $5-$10, and shirts from Hollister that were $6. Yeah, sure, maybe the jeans are a bit expensive, but honestly, overreaction much? Some people spend over $200 on jeans from other places, and I can find AE and Hollister jeans that usually only cost about $50 or less. I get my jeans from Levi's and they're about $30, and they're super comfy and have lasted FOREVER, but I still love my one pair of Hollister jeans because they look nice on me! I buy my clothes based on whether or not they're comfortable and if they make me look good, regardless of brand. Generally, though, jeans from walmart or target just don't look as good on me as jeans from Hollister.
(0)who cares where you buy your clothes! the point is that the whole bunch is three hundred dollars. I would be furious, not only because i odviously liked the clothes but BECAUSE i payed so much for them... and the only reason you people are being so hypocritical is because it didnt happen to you! you know as well as me, that if someone did that to your clothes you would be upset and wanting to beat somebodys ass!
(0)FYL
Your sister is more of a conformist than you for acting like a stereotypical mall goth.
(0)hahahahahahahaaaaaa that sucks!!!!!!! but seriously hide ur stuff from ur sister and for god's sake please buy less expensive clothes!!!!!!
(0)If everyone buys these clothes then maybe they genuinely are nice clothes? oO
I love the style of Abercrombie & Fitch / Hollister, and also the tight-fitting clothes make it so that I don't look like I'm drowning in fabric because I do kind of have a thin body. XD
300$ is a lot.
Hack her myspace account and change all the scary gothic crap to wonderful butterflies and ponies.
Shred all of her clothes up.
And give her a Hollister gift-card for her birthday.
If you have the money, spray her bedroom with the hollister scent.
And change her computer's theme to candy pink if possible.
Make her pay you back the 300$ in order for you to stop.
Have a nice day (:
(0)Pffft like you don't still have hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth of virtually identical clothes in your closet.
(+1)This thread makes me SO EXCITED to graduate law school, harken over to my well-salaried firm job, and blow a few paychecks on some Burberry and Chanel. I will probably be unable to hear all the jealous bitching over the roar of my consumerist, conformist awesomeness.
Until then, I will sit in class in my american eagle jeans and my north face snowboots and smile, because I really don't give a damn if people think I'm a conformist.
(0)Dude, none of those brands are expensive or impressive and no one really cares. We don't know you. Get over yourself.
#407 - On 01/01/2010 at 1:49am by Alannaa
(0)300$ worth of anything shouldn't be ripped to shreds. Plus, most non-conformist clothing usually cost more than what I wear. I usualy buy aero. or american eagle. I think it's cheaper compaired to people who try to be... different. I'm cheap, sorry.
(0)hell, I'm too lazy to be a non-comformist anyways.
(0)TO THE 4000 or SO PEOPLE WHO SAID YDI:
It doesn't matter what brands the $300 worth of clothing were. They could have been any brand, but the point is that their value was $300. So you guys suck for saying they deserved it just because they happen to like those brands.
#335 - On 12/24/2009 at 8:52pm by IllegalLight
(0) plus they already have rips all over them so wouldn't really look all that different
(0)So what... she shredded gay cloths... Dont get pissed get even dumbass
(0)I would have busted that little girls ass. Then Beat it again every day til she replaced my clothes!
(-1)eww hollister and american eagle :&
(-2)You deserve it.Whore.
(0)FYL. Your sister was definitely being a bitch. She had no right to cut up the clothes you spent money on. She seems selfish, pathetic and completely full of herself. Sorry you live with that, I'd go crazy if something like that happened to me.
(0)And all your "lawyer friends" will say she deserves the lawsuit for "destruction of property"
(0)Smack that bitch!
(+1)Wow there are a lot of people being really rude about this. Here's a good bit of advice: Dig what you dig! All you people bitching at the person for WHAT SHE IS WEARING- you people suck.
(-1)Haha. Sans your crappy taste, you have evidence enough to prove the theft, so there isn't that much to gripe about except for lost time and gas. Even more funny, she's as much a conformist to her demographic as you might be - if not more so - barring her angsty, teenage fangs as she does. I'm LMAO. Your family tree isn't exactly showing many signs of wit nor wisdom. Yeah, it sucks to be you alright. Just try not to have any kids, and preferably, prevent your sister from doing the same. LOL xD
(0)WOW your sister is a bitch! I'd be pissed! I hate people like her. I really hope she grows out of that "nonconformist conformist" mentality. fuck her stupid friends, too.
(0)she must be goth
(0)Your sister has a myspace, but you're the conformist?
#354 - On 12/25/2009 at 4:58am by kimberlylynn
(0)So in her mind you're a conformist. Let her know that in your mind, she's a bitch who needs to respect other people's property. Trash her undergarments and relish in the fact that at least you won't have to go commando in jeans for a week. Or delete her extensive music library and break her CDs. See how she likes having personal property being destroyed. Or better yet, hack onto her myspace and terminate her profile.

(0)I would kill a bitch.
shave her head when shes asleep(:
(0)I would kill a bitch.
shave her head when shes asleep(:
(0)oh god, is she one of those kids who follow a subcultural trend. pft she calls you a conformist. everyone is one. she's a conformist for following that trend.
(0)dude, your sister is the biggest bitch ever! it's probably wrong but cut up all her shit, take pictures and laugh when she gets pissed. hell, i'll do it for you!
(0) wow I would have beaten the hell out of her then bitch smacked her friends
(0)Oh I would have throttled her. I hope your parents make her pay for the clothing, I know some of it may not be able to be replaced but hopefully you can find some things you like just as much. Reguardless of the brand 300 dollars is a lot of money and I know from experience that some of the things from those brands are really well made and can last for a lot longer than other brands. My favorite pair of jeans are from Holister, my room mate gave them to me becasue they didn't fit her anymore and they are so comfy. Oh geeze ramble.....
(0) rip up her shitty emo clothes !
'oh I'm not conformist, and so are all my friends, that's why we dress the fkn same'
she sounds like a girl who has a good life, says she hates it, but really, if her
parents kicked her out, shed cry, beg forgiveness and move back
and probably be complaining about her life again the next day :|
(0)I have many pairs of Sevens/Earl jeans (which I bought from outlet stores at similar prices to that of the less "preppy" brands). Oh noez, I r wot cunformin' cuz I buy da clowthez wich mak me luk ritch. WRONG. The people on here haven't considered the fact that better made clothes LOOK better, thus making you FEEL better. There IS a distinct quality difference between Sevens and Target, and where I don't agree with ruining yourself in order to buy the latest designs from AE/Hollister/whatever, if you have the money then the concept of buying cheap clothes you feel like shite in is just as ridiculous to some people as spending X amount on one item is to others.
It's not about fashion for all of us "conformists"*, it's about buying things which make us feel good about ourselves: which can be EITHER cheaper/"prestigious", preppy/gothic or thrift/designer.
*I wear A&F/Sevens/blahblahblah and am completely hooked on Super Mario Galaxy atm. Oh. And I'm also playing through pokemon red. Again. For fun. :o. But hey, seeing as I wear these brands, EVERYTHING I do must be some kind of conformist activity.

(0)I showed my internet friends this FML and they thought it was awesome.
(0)YDI YOU EVIL PREPPY WHORE, DIE DIE DIE.
hahahaha. twelve year olds are funny. get over yourselves, get off myspace, go get a job and buy your own clothes instead of having your mom take you shopping. $300 is $300, whether in the form of ~preppy~ clothes or cold hard cash, and either way i guarantee NOBODY in this thread would want to lose it
(0)I would seriously beat that self-absorbed idiot into a wall.
I'd bet money that she buys all of her clothes from Hot Topic.
(0)Human beings need to stop hating on each other man.
Clothes are JUST clothes.
It's not the end of the world. When humans first evolved, they made clothes out of the resources around them. No stores, no malls, no stereotypes, or cliques.
It is us who give the human race a bad name.
You should all be ashamed of yourselves.
(0) Well with how expensive they are, it was probably only 7 shirts.
(0)YDI for being so conformist. I'm sorry, but when you spend 600$ at one time on 2 brands of clothing (worn by preps who I hate with a passion), you have a problem. I'm not saying your sister's actions were justified, of course she shouldn't destroy 300$ of clothes, but then again she's probably a punk, so she wouldn't talk it over with you. I've thought several times of buying one of their shirts and burning it right in front of everybody at the store, but then I though what a waste of a very expensive shirt it was. Although your sister is my hero, she was wrong. You should consider wearing something other then AE and Hollister.
(0)conformist [kənˈfɔːmɪst]
n
1. a person who adopts the attitudes, behaviour, dress, etc. of the group to which he belongs
I hate to break it to you but unless you are making your own clothes you are 'conforming' to something. So you should go burn your clothes as well since you're a conformist as well. I wear things from Hot Topic, and I wear things from Wal-Mart, I also own things from Hollister. Being anti conformist is just conforming to the non conformist group.
(0)Oh btw, I meant 300$ xD I didn't mean to put 600$. Also, just so anyone doesn't get confused about me putting the $ sign after the amount of money, I live in Canada and learned all my math in french, and that's how they do it in french, along with putting commas for decimal points.
(0)I love your sister.
#378 - On 12/27/2009 at 3:56am by ThisVampyricLust
(0)
btw, $300 worth of hollister is like two things. calm down. YDI for being annoying.
(0)people shoud just shut up! AE and Hollister clothes are nice, and if he/she want's to use her money on those clothes, so let her do that. It's her F*ucking money! Someone uses 300$ dollars on brand clothes and others use 300$ on non-brand clothes. It's once again your f*ucing choice!
And for revenge you could
1) Steal 300$dollars from your sister
2) Break her ipod or something similar
3) Hack her Myspace and fuck it up (but it has to be done pretty well to make it 300$-hurt)
Btw. Her in Norway a Lacoste pique costs just about 150$ an A&F t-shirt is 100$ so just forget about telling about how expensive Hollister and AE is in USA.
(0) I totally get why she dis it tho...non conformity is one of the most poular things right now (you should put glitter all over her clothes...I bet shed love that)
(0) and I'd like to point out the people who agree with your sister or say "I love your sister", In each one of their pictures they're dressed in black...all looking like clones...
(0)You deserve it, conformist.
(0)I still think that anyone who sits here and "conforms" themselves as being a "non conformist" should go kill themselves.
but really its ok, because its bound to happen one day based on the way their sad, pathetic "no one loves me" life is going, and thank Jesus for the day that comes. The world might quiet down for once.
as for your clothes, i agree with quit bitching and get even. me, personally, i would probably start by shredding all of her clothes (and i mean everything) and leave her with nothing to wear besides what she IS wearing and something that, lets say, you see fit. Like Hollister for instance. see how long she goes before she has to either one, do laundry every day, or go drop, hmmm $300 on HER new clothes. fair revnege beginning i think.
find a way to knock her the fuck out with sleeping meds or something then shave her entire head and eye brows while she is sleeping. and tell her to take pictures and put it on her myspace for all her friends to see how she is "no conforming" by not having any hair.
it will get to her because over all, "non conformists" have to uphold their non conformist image.

(+2)Paint.Her.Room.Pink
Fill her room with twilight pictures
and change her shampoo with bleach.
Sure it takes time, might cost u a lil mumla
but pay backs a bitch ya
^.^

(0)i don't get it... her sister destroyed her clothes.... $300 worth... focus on tht...
now... tell me tht this girl deserved it... without knowing it was hollister or ae... did she deserve it? no.
i personally don't like those stores... not cuz their 'uber expensive' (ya. okay. sure they are.) but because i just don't like the stores...
but... i totally feel for her... if i spent $300 at rue21 or jcpenny's or maurice's(now tht's an overpriced store) and my lil sis destroyed them... i'd slap her into next week...
but i don't get why u guys are bashing her for wearing these clothes... the only reason i don't like them is cuz i don't like the whole laid back style... i like looking like i am the best thing in the world... call me a conformist if u will... i don't give a shit what some dumb cyber dwellers think of me... they've never even met me... i like spending tons of money on clothes... it's fun...
i like looking like i own the place... i don't give a shit about this conformist crap!!!
it's still $300 down the toilet... how would tht make u feel? how bout u get all ur clothes destroyed then try to talk in the same veiwpoint... i double dare ya...

(0) YDI for wearing crappy prep clothing... ewwww
(0)I hope you beat her cunt ass !
(0)i love your sister! lol i hate aeropostale and all those other preppy clothing shops DX so YDI.
#392 - On 12/29/2009 at 12:16pm by blahblahblah43
(+1)Yeah, of course a 13-year-old girl like you gets spoiled by parents and does not know the value of $300, so OF COURSE it's okay to shred up THREE-HUNDRED DOLLARS worth of clothing. Immature people like you have to label people and treat people differently just because they're comfortable with being in one of these groups. That's prejudice, and might as well be as bad as being racist.
#395 - On 12/29/2009 at 6:06pm by serenachicka
(0)everyone who's freaking out cause it's a "preppy" store: grow up. if you don't like it, don't shop there.
(+1)I'm pretty sure if the OP just said "$300 worth of clothing" (and didn't name the brand), more than half the people who said YDI would have clicked FYL.
#396 - On 12/29/2009 at 6:11pm by serenachicka
(0)you should beat the shyt out of her and paste pics of her bloody face on facebook. then destroy 300 dollars worth of her stuff and see how she likes it
(0)And a computer and my space aren't part of a conformist type of life style. Punch your sister in the face because she totally deserves it. Spoiled brat that she is.
This comment has been moderated.
(0)Tell her that her "internet friends" will be the only ones she gets, for cruel humor and vengeance.
(-1)Okay, I made this account to tell you off. I can tell you, firsthand, that us "noncomformists" don't actually use the terms "comformists" and "noncomformists". So I have to assume three possibilities. 1-This FML is fake and you're a complete dumbass, 2-Your sister is a poser, and 3-Since you live in New Hampshire, it's not surprising that you're both so stupid. On the other hand, your sister's a little bitch for cutting up your stuff to show off and her friends are losers with no life and a really shitty home situation. You, on the other hand, are a complete idiot for giving her the opportunity to do so, wasting that much money on the #1 brand for labels(they put their logo everywhere!), and mentioning the brand names on FML. Half of the FMLers are "noncomformists". If you're old enough to have a little sister with a myspace then you should be old enough to realize that you won't get 100% sympathy on FML. You want a group of supporters? Talk to your friends, assuming you have any. I'm calling this a tie. YDI and FYL.
#405 - On 12/31/2009 at 12:48am by Alannaa
(0)Who the fuck goes on FML for 100% sympathy? Moron.
(0)Self-proclaimed "non-comformists" are stupid kids who've never expirienced the real word. However, American Eagle and Hollister are for douchebages.
There's really no clear winner here.
(0)YDI. That stupid conformist she should be like us non-conformists and shop at hot topic and talk about it on our MySpace accounts while listening to the #1 emo band
(0)sarcasm btw
(0) sounds like your sister owes you $300.
(0) so wait; I see people bitching about being a conformist. but wouldn't it make you a conformist to be a non-conformist? shitty band reference but it's like that Hollywood Undead song about how much emo kids suck. and the lyric is "you'd be non-conforming too if you looked just like me". basically, everyone is a conformist.
and I agree with the people talking about how much it sucks to have to pay your own way. little kids, learn some work ethic and then get back to us.
:*
(0) she's right. I mean, you can't get mad at your daughter for being an individual, and not a sheep.
#415 - On 01/03/2010 at 12:28pm by Sammi_Sucks
(0)this is climbing to the top of the most commented list pretty quickly
(0)Why is the sister calling her older sister a conformist when she uses myspace just like every other person in the US...?
(0)whip her ass until she cries for mercy , thats the way to do it
(0) maybe you should rip her shit up for "being a hippie/goth/whatever she is" I have hollister AE and A
(0)It's still $300 worth of stuff. Doesn't matter if it's 20 pairs of jeans or just one damn expensive t-shirt. $300 is $300. No matter what shape or form. Your sister had no right to do that and should be forced to pay you back. Seriously. She needs to be taught to show respect towards other people's property. And It's stupid how people are on here judging you for what you wear? Hot topic is JUST as expensive as Hollister and any other store. MY philosophy, is if you like it. Buy it. lol.
(0)Who the fuck still uses myspace?
(0)First off, I have to say, I wouldn't dismiss someone as a conformist for using myspace. The larger a social network is, the more likely you are to meet interesting people and things.
That said, chick's got a problem. Really, how could you ever think that's a good thing to do?
Tell the parents. Failing that, get her on Judge Judy, she'd definitely respond well to "but she's such a conformist, she neeeds to be shown the light!" by a sixteen-year-old with purple hair and a lip ring.
Or, you know, any judge. Ever.

Or anyone with common sense.
Also, the kid needs to realize that, after she's just had her clothing destroyed, her sister's probably not going to look at it and say, "Welp, I need a new wardrobe. Let's try Hot Topic this time."
(0)I agree with your sister. Your stupid for spending that kind of money just to look like all of your friends. However, she is no different. She looks just like all her friends - the kind that sit in a corner and glare at everyone because in their own way, the like to be seen as "the rejects." They always talk about how everyone hates them but that's what they want. You both deserve each other.
(0)she doesn't deserve it! I wear those type of clothes (abrocrombie aeropostale hollister American eagle etc.) and I'm not some brat or spoiled or some rich popular girl but $300 worth of clothes is a lot. if you think that she's something like that you've got another thing coming. just because you wear those clothes doesn't mean you are. and to all you loser poor people who are saying YDI or stuff she doesn't. no one does.
(0)YDI for being a comformist lol
(0)YDI for being a conformist.

(0)Conformist.
(-1)They are probably all one of either Twilight or JB fans, I can tell. your sister was probably jealous. her internet friends
might be an excuse for real life, too.
(0)your sis iz awsome !!!!
p.s YDI
(0)wow ahaha I'm sorry!!!!!!!
(0)I've never heard someone who isn't either an idiot or a douchenozzle call someone a conformist.
Same goes for people who pay any attention at all to the brands of clothes that other people wear.
(0)You all are really idiots if you think she deserved that. Hot Topic costs about the same as American Eagle, so just shut up. I wear clothes from both those stores, so I really know how they can suck the money out of your wallet. Sit down & stop being whiny little 'emo' bitches just because she wore clothes you don't like.
