Today, while I was substitute teaching a middle school class, a boy, named Chris, refused to get in the boy's line for the bathroom. After I had said, "Chris, what makes you think you're a girl?" in a very loud voice, one of the other students said "She is a girl." I've scarred a child for life. FML

What if she'd been a guy? What if she was a boy who felt more comfortable as a girl? Do you really think asking "What makes you think you're a girl?" is appropriate? especially in front of EVERYONE?? That's the kind of things you discuss in private. That pisses me off. How the hell do people like that get the right to teach?

Substitute TEACHER. Do they just sit there and do nothing all period?

In my country you have to be a teacher to substitute.

I don't know about where you're located, but here in VA, all they do is sit around. They don't have to have a teaching degree. They don't even receive any sort of training. They're not qualified to teach anything, so they just sit there. Your misconception is that they're substitute teachers, when in fact they're merely substitutes FOR teachers. This is middle school. The girl should have stated that she was not a boy and thus would not enter the boy's bathroom. If you don't know what makes you male or female by the time you hit middle school, you need to be attending a specialized school. If anything, this is a parent fail. If your child can't be easily recognized as a particular sex, why give them a nickname and wardrobe to match?

even if he hadve been more comfortable as a girl, what right do we have to change Gods creation?

why would middle school kids be standing in line 4 the bathroom

finally someone said it. we stopped getting in line and going to the bathroom as a class in like what 3rd grade? by middle school u go at lunch or in the three mins in between classes or u don't go. with the confusion though, I had this kid in my 12th grade English class that I for the life of me couldn't tell what it was. turns out it was just a super emo funny looking dude. it was either a really ugly dude or a really ugly chick

That is so insensitive, I'm surprised that you are a teacher

by the time they are in middle school you should be able to tell. **** chris' life

Not necissarily a lot people I see, and I'm in highschool, I sometimes can't tell if they're a boy being a girl or a girl being a boy. That could be the case for this specific girl, someone wanting to be a boy.
