After dinner my date brought me back to my apartment and there was a waterfall gushing down from the balcony above our apartment. The guys above us had started a fire and our apartment was flooded. Today, what started as an amazing day with hiking, a picnic, more hiking, then a romantic nature walk, ended in a ridiculous screaming match between me and my boyfriend. I only asked him to shower before laying in our bed when we got home, since we were covered in sweat, bug bites and dirt. FML

If you knew he had a girlfriend, you totally deserve it, and running away was just the icing on top of your cowardly cake. But I don't think OP knew about the girlfriend, and running away is definitely the best option. So FYL. In the end, it's the guy's fault for deciding to cheat in the first place
