18- "They're fine" Not really. Even if a person with schizophrenia took medication they can still have symptoms or the medication may not work and that won't help anything. I've known someone with the illness and she still had her symptoms.
Anyway, OP, sorry that your mom signed you up to a dating site. Maybe get out and meet new people if you haven't tried that yet. :)

Regular people with an illness that makes them paranoid, irrational and hallucinate.. even on meds. That's how they were with my experience at least. It's very hard to be in a relationship with one.

52- No one said being Schizophrenic makes them a bad person. They were stating that, medically, it is very, very rare for a person with Schizophrenia to make a recovery.

I work as a 504 Coordinator and one of my students is severely Schizophrenic- he's not "fine", but he is a sweet kid.

I know how that is, except that my mom did not sign me up for a dating site, she just introduced me to some girls >.>
But the really good news is that she cares about you:)
The bad news is that she did not take your self esteem or such into consideration.
But grab the chance while you still have it :)
