Today, I was shocked to notice that my hair has started growing out entirely silver, supposedly due to pregnancy. I'm 19. Apparently, according to my aunt, "It runs in the family." FML

Embrace it. My brother went silver at 15. He made it work for him. The chicks go bananas.

Could be worse: what if female balding ran in the family?

Were I a dude I would've been bald at sixteen. You're okay, OP! Silver hair is awesome!

I've had to colour my hair since I was 12 because I had spots of grey hairs on my head...So, I know how you feel, minus the pregnancy...

My Gma was completely silver by 21. You can dye it if you hate it but it might be super rad.

Silver hair is totally rad. Embrace it! And all the luck to you with your pregnancy, hope you have a happy, healthy baby. (:

I quite did not understand to which one to tag the statement "It runs in the family".,.. should it be for the silver hair or for being pregnant at 19...

After the baby is born (and you're not breastfeeding), find a good hairdresser!!! I totally feel your pain, it runs in my family too. Nothing like having salt & pepper hair before you're old enough to drink! FYL OP, there's choosing your genetics.

Wait, what does breastfeeding have to do with finding a hair dresser?

It's not the hair dresser, it's the chemicals of the hair dye during pregnancy and breast feeding

There is approximately 0 evidence that dying your hair is harmful to a fetus/baby. The amount of chemicals that are actually absorbed into your body is insignificant.

#76: The chemical smell is dangerous, not to mention if OP had an allergic reaction to the hair dye, it could be fatal for the baby. It's always recommended to NOT dye your hair during pregnancy.

When I was pregnant, I had been dyeing my hair. I asked my midwife if it was safe to continue to do so, as obviously I didn't want to do any harm. I was told after the first trimester, and as long as you're in a well ventilated room, there's no harm done to you or baby.

Clearly, because she had sex. OP is probably mature enough to make her own decisions about whether she wants to have sex. As long as she'll be able to give the child a good life, there's nothing wrong with being pregnant at 19 in my opinion.
