Today, I took my road test. I'd never had driver's training and my mom taught me how to drive. I failed the test so badly, and when I got home my mom admitted to having taught me how to drive completely wrong because she didn't want me to get my license as she thinks I'm too young. I'm 18. FML

Today, I took my driving test. I had pulled out of my three point turn in a neighborhood and started driving again, thinking something wasn't quite right. The lady testing me looked over at me and said, "Sweetie, you're driving on the wrong side of the road." FML

Today, I passed my driver's test. My instructor took the learner signs off his car and let me drive back to my place. I guess he didn't bet on me crashing the car just a few blocks from the test center. FML

Today, I took my driving test. I was nervous, but I thought I followed the rules of the road pretty well. My tester ended up failing me for "backing out too slowly". FML

Today, I went to take my driver's test, and I did almost everything perfectly. The last thing was to back into a driveway. As I went to put my hand on the passenger seat to look over my shoulder, I got so nervous that I hit my instructor in the face. FML

Today, after failing my learner's licence twice in the previous weeks, I finally passed. As I got home, I went for a drive with my dad. I smashed my mum's car into an old lady's fence and ended up in her backyard. FML

Today, I took my driver's test. The woman administering it wouldn't even look at me, so trying to be friendly I said the first thing I could think of, "It must be scary getting in the car with someone you don't know!" She failed me for "excessive chatting." FML

Today, I drove 45 minutes to take my full driver's test. At the end of the test, the instructor told me I'd done everything perfectly, but had failed before I left the parking lot. I didn't see the "one way" sign at the entrance. FML

I dont understand this. What was she telling you, driving is pretty much self explanatory. "Mom, the speed limit says 25." "That means you have to drive in the left lane and go 50" Explain more because right now i think you deserved it.

Dude, that sucks for you but at least now you know the truth - try to give your mom a break though, she was just trying to protect you in a weird, round about way. I hope you enroll in some proper drivers' ed classes soon though - they'll fix your driving skills there.

Lol @156. I totally agree. Is there really a wrong way to teach someone to drive? Just follow the laws and don't hit anybody or anything.

is it just me but thats the 2nd "Because they (mum or dad) though it would be funny to teach there kids how to do something wrong because they thought it would be funny, and in ur case the right thing? FMLs are fake, and im only just starting to notice it. When ever theres a good FML u can be that a few days later theres gonna be one thats based on the same thing, just written differently.
