Today, I surprised my daughter by telling her that I'm going to treat the family to a trip to the Himalayas in a few months. She promptly threw a tantrum and listed her main reasons for not wanting us to go: "It's a freaking desert there," and, "I'll miss the new Spiderman movie." FML

Hells Yeah about Spiderman! Me and my old man are also DC and Marvel geeks!

technically it is a desert, but not a sandy one. And Spiderman is awesome.

make her stay home then and put her with her least favorite relative!

Ill take her place instead... :)

1. I wouldn't want to go either. 2. How well do you know your daughter if you're surprised by her reaction? 3. What "normal" daughter would want to go to some remote mountain range in Asia???!!!!

How ungrateful, the Himalayas! That's almost like a once in a lifetime opportunity, you should make her go, you have to have fun to every now and again too

LOL force her to stay with a grandparent or friend with no TV and no privilages while the rest of you go. And if she ends up going to the movies or disobeying ground her for a month. After you get back (or she is ungrounded) ask her, "Now I bet you wished you had gone to the Himalayans!"

Why is this thumbed down? It's actually kinda funny. (To me, at least)
