You know you don't always have to expect something in return when u give a gift. you could give it just to make the other person feel better and be glad u have the opportunity to have someone to give something to also it should make you feel good that you did something nice for a change. stop being so selfish and give once in a while without an expectation of getting something back.

I guess she wouldn't think you would get her such a gift. For the 10 year thing I get how she would be annoyed. My older brother and his girlfriend have been dating for the last 12 years, their 28 now. I would've dumped a guy like that years ago so I wouldn't be surprised if that girl broke up with My bro but she seems happy with it. You should look into getting married though
