Today, I called to see if my bridesmaid's dress was ready. They told me it had already been picked up, the bride's mom picked up the dress and got rid of it because she doesn't want me in the wedding. FML

Hi! I'm the OP. I did pay for the dress, and after talking to the store they are replacing he dress free of charge. Apparently this has happened several times. You would think that they would start making sure you're the person supposed to be picking up the dress. The bride has apologized for her mom. (I think the mom should apologize not the bride) Right now she's not talking to her mom. As for why she doesn't like me, I have no idea. She's always been so nice to me until this incident. Luckily the wedding isn't until July so we have time. Sorry for the long reply! Thanks everyone!

Uhm the store shouldn't have given the dress to anyone but you! Your name was on it you should have been the only one able to pick it up unless you call the store and state otherwise.

This makes me glad I'm really close with the bride's mother for the wedding I'm going to be in. I can't even imagine having to go through this. That has to feel just awful. Hopefully the bride straightened things out!! Please follow up, OP!

It's none of her business who her daughter choses to be her bridesmaid(s), regardless if she likes them or not! Does the woman realise she has the 'Mother of the Bride' job? She's basically treated like a queen, when it's not even her day and she doesn't even have to deal with the bridesmaids! Although, she's probably one of them people who thinks the bridesmaids are just there to hold shit for the bride and look pretty in pictures! It obviously got to her head and now thinks she can run the show...
