Today, I called to see if my bridesmaid's dress was ready. They told me it had already been picked up, the bride's mom picked up the dress and got rid of it because she doesn't want me in the wedding. FML

Hi! I'm the OP. I did pay for the dress, and after talking to the store they are replacing he dress free of charge. Apparently this has happened several times. You would think that they would start making sure you're the person supposed to be picking up the dress. The bride has apologized for her mom. (I think the mom should apologize not the bride) Right now she's not talking to her mom. As for why she doesn't like me, I have no idea. She's always been so nice to me until this incident. Luckily the wedding isn't until July so we have time. Sorry for the long reply! Thanks everyone!

Oh wow I hope the bride has something to say about that. Some people have zero tact

I'm sorry about that. Weddings bring the worst out in some people.

I'm glad things got figured out to no extra cost and dilemma. the mom issue is a bit strange but hopefully it'll pass before the big day!

I wish the store made the mum pay, that's the most ridiculous behaviour!

I agree #66, the mom deserves to have to pay for it. She acted like a child throwing a fit because things weren't the way she wanted and she ruined someone else's property.

I'm not fond of those kinds of people who think it's their wedding when it isn't.

Well that's a waste of money, time. Also very selfish on her part. Poor bride has to figure plan b and gets added stress.i would find the dress for my bridesmaid and not let my mother come. Just blows my mind how people can be so toxic to one another.

Sue her you have proof that she took it. When she in court they going to say just return the dress then the mom going to be like I don't know where it is and they make her pay for another one muahahahaha. Btw I know that's not how it works this is joke.

Get a new one, put it on for the rehearsal dinner and you go to that wedding, girl!

What a B hope your friend stood up for you

Glad they're replacing it free of charge. The store should have a policy that unless specified, the person who ordered the dress picks it up.
