Today, I began my job as an intern at a high school. I saw one of the students looked very familiar, and I couldn't remember from where. Then I figured it out, I had hooked up with him at a club last week. He's a junior in high school, I'm in my last year of college. FML

Today, I started college after a night out. I'd got tipsy at the club and started dancing with a cute guy. He asked for my number. I didn't want to give it to him, so I gave him a rejection number. Guess who's the new professor for my bio class? And yes, he recognized me. FML

Today, I went to my former high school's homecoming game. A classmate who I always had a crush on looks up and goes "Brian!", holding her arms out for a hug. I hug her and she seems a bit suprised but hugs back anyway. I get up and see another Brian from our class behind me. Shame. FML

Today, I started my new job. Only after I met my new boss did I realise I've met him before. He was at my friend's party last month, the only time in my life when I got so wasted that I danced on a table before puking on myself. He remembers me, too. FML

Today, I went to my first job interview. I didn't think I was doing too badly, until the interviewer said, "Wait a second, you're in high school?" I explained that the guy who'd called me had said that this wouldn't be a problem. I then watched as my interviewer left his desk to "deal" with him. FML

Today, I recently graduated from high school and I went to a college party. I met these girls and told them I graduated college already, to sound cool. I then heard one of them say, "I went to middle school with you, and I was in your math class." FML

Today, I found out that my university had not accepted the internship I did when I was in college. They placed me in the same bank I interned in, with the same bank manager that I flipped the middle finger at after finishing my internship. FML

Okay, pay attention everyone who says there's nothing wrong with it. Anywhere in public education, the teacher is an authority figure over the student. That's where the problem comes in. In almost all cases, the teacher would be fired for undermining the public's trust in dealing with it's students. This could be treated in the same way that it would be inappropriate for a doctor to 'hook-up' with a patient. This case would be unclear if the student is at the age of consent because the 'hook-up' occurred before the teacher/intern became that authority figure. But I can guarantee you that the OP will be removed from the school if they were to find out. Schools do not take risks that could open them up to any liability.

Much agreed, MarkO. For me, really, I just don't like the idea of teachers dating students, regardless of age, for the exact reasons you mentioned. And, of course, the institution must always look its best, so... yeah. But, a hook up beforehand... well you can still fight that you didn't know he was a student? Or just don't bring it up... maybe he won't remember you either.

No, he's a junior in highschool. That would make him 16-17. Some people can pass for older than their actual age. Especially when accompanied by a fake ID.

Actually, the question is was SHE hot? It's worse than a double-standard, it's a triple-standard!
