Today, I arrived at my college dorm. To help me sleep, I listened to my local radio from my phone. Little did I know, they turn off the wifi for part of the night, and hours of music were streamed onto my phone. Guess who now owes the phone company all my money. FML

I would really like to know which college this is at.

Why would they turn on wifi during the night? What do they have to gain or potentially lose from this? Fyl.

They don't turn off wifi, your phone does after its been locked for a period of time. This happened to my in laws too.

I found out my mom does the same thing. The same way. She yelled at me and grounded me for going over -__- but this was a few months ago

I would really like to know which phone it is. Must be the iPhone ;)

I think you should have pages attention to connection before you started using it. Also wouldn't it have shown up on the notification bar on the top?

not relevant if you are asleep, dumbass

I'm sorry but you deserve it for not having an unlimited data plan, which are cheaper and get just as good service as the contract phones...

there are very few unlimited data packages left.

Streaming apps have a setting whether they will stream on wi-fi only or also on the cell network. I imagine you specifically enabled it to work on any connection, so ...

sounds like someone needs unlimited data. And why shut it off at night when most people are studying or cramming? FYL OP

You should always set your phone to turn off after a couple hours, even if its not for the wifi, it could still bother other people when you leave it on like that for the whole night
