Today, after an extensive talk with a relationship counselor, we concluded that I'm more likely to get run over by a car than be in a stable relationship. FML

No matter what anybody says or thinks, you are the one who creates the life for yourself and if you fully commit to something you truly want...everything is possible!

We can have a stable relationship together ;D

I'm going to say this. Two big tips: 1. Respect for one another. That means no yelling, fighting, jealousy, contempt or general rudeness. 2. Communicate. About everything. Everything. Your doubts, their worries, what you like in bed, what they like. Leave no stone unturned. If you can commit to these two items (surprisingly hard for many people) then you stand a much higher chance of success. 3. Accept that the other person is out of your Control! You will never know exactly what they're thinking or be able to change them so accept them and all of their actions. Good or bad. Doesn't mean you can't get mad but take a good look at what is making you angry. Is it that they simply did something that hurt you? Or is it that they did something that you couldn't control? Ok, 3 things I lied

I know what you mean. I'm sorry. All the best in resolving your issues.

Well that escalated quickly...

Doesn't seem to me that your therapist is very helpful. I have felt the same way a lot in my life and a relationship was what I wanted more than anything. I didn't meet the love of my life until I was 30, now we have been together 3 years and starting a family. It's hard but I do believe it's true that you can never say never.
