Today, I was practising the violin in my apartment. A man knocked on the door and introduced himself with a smile, saying he wanted to know my "schedule." I replied, "I'm pretty busy but maybe we could get a drink sometime." To which he replied, "No, I just want to know when you'll stop." FML

Today, I matched with someone on a dating app. The first thing they said to me was, "What is the chance that you are the trombone player living below me and would you please stop playing after 9 p.m.?" I am that trombone player and due to Covid I have to practice a lot in my apartment. FML

Today, I was playing piano for a wedding rehearsal. Bored, I decided to pass the time playing through a book of music I found in the piano bench. Some time later the bride turned to me and screamed at me to stop. I had turned the page and had begun to play "Let's Call The Whole Thing Off." FML

i always liked the sound of the violin but I'm sure u and ur nieghber can work out a compromise. keep practicing and maybe ur nieghber will enjoy the sweet sounds of mozart or Beethoven.

Doesn't necessarily you sound bad, OP. I'm a violinist but even I would be driven crazy if I was forced to listen to two hours of someone else's scales and drills. Also; time for a practice mute?

they must do things differently in Germany, normally I would think some guy you don't know showing up at your door and asking your schedule would be a tad.....creepy?

I don't live in Germany but last time I checked the Germans would think something like that was creepy too. Good job at understanding sarcasme, OP, a smile and a overly calm voice (which he probably had) indicates sarcasme and anger. YDI for playing the violin in an apartment while thinking your neighbours wouldn't complain about it
