Today, I took the family to the Rainforest Café. There was no parking and I hate having to pay $12 for valet parking. I parked at Walgreens across the street in the only spot without a "Patrons only, violators will be towed" sign. It was covered by the tree branches. It cost me $225 for the cab and fine. FML

Same thing different taste

Today, I searched for free parking near my work for 30 minutes, trying to avoid paying $12 at a pay lot. I scored a spot, but 1 mile away from the office. I trekked through rain, cold, and got to work late. It was a long hard day, crawled back to my car, and had a $30 ticket on my windshield. FML

Today, I went to pay my vehicle registration in person to avoid paying the $10.00 online service fee. After a long wait, I came out to find a $15.00 parking ticket on my car. FML

Today, I went to lunch with a friend in her car. I told her to park in a lot that had signs warning that we'd be towed, saying, "They never tow anyone from here. In fact, if you get towed, I'll pay for it." When we returned, her car was gone. I had to pay $145 in cash to get it back. FML

Today, I went to the mall and couldn't find a parking spot. After circling around for 20 minutes, I finally saw a shaded spot in the uncovered parking lot area under a tree. It turns out, I parked under a coconut tree. I could tell from the coconut planted into my hood. FML

Today, I decided not to park in the parking garage on campus, in an attempt to save the $8 it would have cost me. Instead, I parked in a surface lot (about a mile away) and got a $50 parking ticket for not having a permit to park there. FML

Today, I parked my car in a garage that cost $13 for every 10 minutes past 10 o'clock. When I came back to the garage at 10, I had forgotten where I parked it and spent an hour looking for it. I paid $78 to lose my car. FML

Today, I gave my friend a ride to town so she wouldn't have to pay the $10 to park. While waiting to pick her up, I grabbed a bite to eat. Upon returning to my car, I found a $55 parking ticket on my windshield. FML

Today, my car was towed. After taking a cab all the way to the lot for $45 and paying the $250 fee to get my car back, my car broke down in the impound lot and needed to be towed to the nearest shop, where it took another $200 to fix, and $50 for the towing. I still have a 3-hour drive home. FML

THANK YOU!! Finally, someone that I can agree with. It takes five more seconds to write out complete sentences with correct spelling and grammar. Talking in "computer" and "text" talk has turned us into morons and is the reason why so many of you idiots don't even know how to spell half the words you use or how to properly construct sentences. Congratulations, you use "no" to spell "know". This just proves to the world you are a dumb ass.

You found the "'only' spot without a 'PATRONS ONLY. VIOLATORS WILL BE TOWED' sign?"   Do you think that Walgreen's (It's not the same as Wal-mart) saves a spot for freeloading parasites?   They have a handicapped spot, maybe a pregnant mothers' spot and evidently, you believe they should have a spot for Scrooges-who-won't-pay-twelve-bucks-for-a-valet-but-will-pay-fourteen-bucks-to-eat-a-salad-under-a-plastic-tree spot.   Good luck in court.

He was taking his family, that implies it was a celebratory meal of some sort, where you want to go somewhere expensive. Maybe he isn't cheap, he just wants to save some money on the already extortionate prices.

You realize that when someone uses about 20 consecutive hyphens, it is humor, not a scholarly analysis of human behavior. Lighten up, Francis. My family actually checked out the menu at out local Rainforest cafe this very weekend. (That's how I knew about the $14 salad.) My daughter decided she'd rather have La Madeleine. I hate valet parking for a couple of reasons other than the cost. First, I feel naked without my car keys on me. (Guess where I hang them when I am literally naked? JK!) Second, I hate the loss of control over my ride. If the AUTOmobile means anything, it is that you yourSELF control when and where you go. If you hand over your car to a valet, you might as well take a cab.
