Bad omen or what?

Today, I was playing piano for a wedding rehearsal. Bored, I decided to pass the time playing through a book of music I found in the piano bench. Some time later the bride turned to me and screamed at me to stop. I had turned the page and had begun to play "Let's Call The Whole Thing Off." FML

She must be a really good piano player herself to recognize the piece just like that

Why would she care? It was just the rehearsal.

Obviously, neither the bride or the pianist knows the piece very well.... as at the end, the lyrics are 'let's call the calling off, off'

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. It's a pretty decent song about looking passed stupid petty disputes.

i'd actually love to have that song played at my wedding. but oh, if we call the whole thing off, then we must part and oh, if we ever part, then that might break my heart for we know we need each other so we, better call the calling off off ...

I know! the song is about two people loving each other that they can't leave each others side! so they "call the calling off, off" this is not an FML

How is this a f***ken FML? My FML was funny, true and wasnt so bullsht.. Im over this bullshit

HAHAHAHA. This is NOT an FML. This is pure win!

Am I the only person who thinks Let's Call The Whole Thing Off is actually a really romantic song that's perfect for a wedding? The couple in the song disagree over small things but decide to suck it up because they love each other way too much to break up over those little differences. I bet lots of couples could relate to that - if my boyfriend and I got married, that's probably the song I'd pick as it sounds just like us!

Haha, I wouldn't call that an FML. I'd call it a highly entertaining fail. And brides... not all brides, but many of them... are very easily angered, so if I were you I wouldn't be playing around during rehearsal. I'd be sitting quietly trying not to get noticed until it was time for me to play (in my case, sing) again. Years of being a wedding musician have taught me this. You are not a family member or close friend, you're "just the musician", which makes you a very easy and convenient target if anyone (not just the bride) snaps. Disclaimer: I understand that weddings are highly stressful events. I do not hate brides. I do not hate weddings. I am simply aware of certain occupational hazards. :p
