Today, my mother-in-law showed up unexpectedly, made passive aggressive comments to my kids in front of me about how we need a bigger place to live, and asked questions about our income. We're actually trying to move soon, and just hadn't told them yet so they wouldn't try to follow us. FML
Today, I'd booked a day off work so I could sit and read books all day. I told my wife this, and her response was basically, "Well since you're at home not doing anything important, here’s a list of jobs that need doing." I wasn’t aware enjoying reading counted as doing nothing important. FML
Today, my wallet was stolen from my purse at work. When I asked my boss to pull the security tape so we could identify the thief, he said, "I don't think I want to know who it is." FML
Today, I'm ashamed at ever having become a parent after I found out my daughter has been leading an online bullying campaign against a girl at her school who has disabilities, both mental and physical. Some of the language she was using in the online messages were just disgusting and unforgivable. FML
Today, my dad called my by the family dog's name, and stared at me blankly as if struggling to remember my name when I was annoyed. FML
Today, my mother is such a helicopter parent, she wouldn’t let me go to my first appointment with my new gynaecologist without being in the room, to “keep an eye on him”. When I told her to stay out, she started screaming in the waiting room that I was going to be raped without her there. FML

Aujourd'hui, je vais pour la première fois chez une amie. Je reconnais l'appartement : j'y étais une semaine plus tôt en date Tinder avec un garçon, que je croyais célibataire, mais qui est donc probablement son copain. Pour elle comme pour moi… VDM
Aujourd'hui, après deux ans d'essais, un couple d'amis a enfin eu le bonheur d'avoir leur premier bébé. Depuis qu'ils sont revenus de la maternité, ils invitent sans cesse du monde, se plaignent que "ça" pleure, mange tout le temps, que c'est du boulot, et proposent aux gens de prendre la petite en babysitting chez eux. VDM
Aujourd'hui, en me réveillant, j’avais une douleur à la cheville. Plus la journée passe et plus j'ai mal. En sortant du travail, je passe à la pharmacie et il s’avère que je me suis fait une entorse en dormant. VDM
Aujourd'hui, premier date raté avec un mec rencontré sur une application. J’aurais eu plus de chance si ce dernier n’était pas vegan et moi vêtu d’un pantalon et d’une veste en cuir. VDM

Today, I was trying to learn beatboxing. As soon as I started trying it out, my grandmother started slapping my back, and mom came in running with a glass of water. Both of them thought I was choking to death. I can't beatbox to save my life. FML
Today, my 3-year-old said she wanted “hair like the dog”, so I cut it to about the same length as our pooch’s fur. Now she's crying because she didn’t realize her hair would regardlessly be less fluffy than the dog’s and she therefore ended up with “hair like a boy,” which of course she hates. FML
Today, I tracked down my birth dad. He lives in a massive house, with a wife and two kids, 3 cars and a fucking sailboat on the drive. My mom and I grew up in poverty, but I was calm when I confronted him. He had his gardeners throw me into the street like I was inconvenient trash. FML
Today, I told my boyfriend I’m pregnant. He immediately had a massive panic attack about how a kid is going to ruin his life and split us up, because obviously I’ll choose the baby over him. We’re now in hospital because he hyperventilated, passed out and fractured his skull on the door handle. FML
Today, I took out a thief using my martial arts training. Everyone thanked me, even the police. My mom spent the rest of the day moaning that if I’d minded my own business, the thief would've been gone in two minutes, but thanks to me we had to waste an hour of her day off talking to the cops. FML
Today, I had a bubble bath to help me relax. I was more stressed out by the sound of all the bubbles popping than I was to begin with. FML
Today, I’m sitting in the ER pissed off at my teenage sons. They’re both violently ill from doing a shot contest to see who could drink the most. Alcohol poisoning? Nope. Caffeine overdose. They lost track of how many shots of espresso they were doing before they started puking and shaking. FML
Today, my mom yelled at me for still having a disability at the age of 30, because I should have "grown out of it by now." Then she blamed it on the fact that I got my COVID-19 vaccine. Autism isn't caused by vaccines and it's never going to go away, no matter how old I get. FML
Aujourd'hui, une belle journée s'annonçait, à quelques détails près. J'ai refermé mon PC portable brutalement, en oubliant que ma souris était en plein milieu. J'ai explosé l'écran. Le PC était neuf. VDM
Aujourd'hui, je propose à ma copine d'aller tous les deux sous la couette. Elle, depuis la cuisine, me répond : "OK, deux secondes, je mets la pizza à cuire pendant ce temps." Je n'ose dire le temps de cuisson indiqué. VDM
Aujourd'hui, après plus d’un an de relation à distance, je suis heureuse que notre couple reste solide, malgré les difficultés rencontrées, et me dis que notre histoire n’est pas prête de se terminer. C’était sans compter l’apparition soudaine de mon copain, me disant : "On peut parler ?" VDM
Aujourd'hui, après avoir terminé une course à pied, j'envoie une photo de moi en plein effort à ma mère. Sur cette photo, il y a aussi un autre coureur que je ne connais pas. Réaction de ma mère : "Je ne connais aucun de ces deux types." VDM
Aujourd'hui, j'ai acheté un hoverboard. Trente minutes plus tard, j'étais à terre, la jambe cassée. Double fracture du tibia et du péroné. VDM
Aujourd'hui, je râle auprès d'une cycliste qui n'a pas tendu son bras pour prévenir qu'elle tournait. Je tends ensuite le mien en continuant de râler. Aujourd'hui j'étais en voiture. VDM
Aujourd’hui, dans le train, une femme me fait des grands signes, insiste pour que je la regarde et me lance un tonitruant : “Ça va ?!” Je réponds par politesse et ça semble lui convenir. Je ne sais pas qui est cette personne. VDM
Aujourd'hui, ma mère est dentiste et elle interdit toute forme de friandises sucrées à la maison. J'ai eu une érection en passant devant un magasin de bonbons. VDM
