Today, my girlfriend's best friend was dumped, and was absolutely depressed. My girlfriend thought she'd show her sympathy by breaking up with me so they "could be single together." FML
Today, my supposed "best friend" started going out with the girl I'd just split up with, immediately after she said she wanted to see other people. FML
Today, my girlfriend broke up me with for being the "perfect boyfriend". Apparently I'm the best boyfriend she's ever had, and she didn't know how to take it. So she dumped me. FML
Today, my girlfriend decided that the best place to break up with me was during a movie about two couples breaking up. FML

Girls like that are stupid. It hurts worse when the guy finds out later that he got dumped for someone else and the girl didn't even have the balls to tell him. In reality OP's now ex-girlfriend probably dated and even did the guy she dumped him for before actually dumping him.

She'll probably leave the guy she's leaving you for for yet another guy. There are women like this, and I've been in that situation before. Sucks that it happened to you too OP, but quite honestly you are better off. If she's willing to let you go then she isn't good enough for you, that's the mentality you need to have.
