Today, the abandoned cat that I took in for the night and during bad weather seems to have spread fleas around my house. They're everywhere. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Box of magic
Today, my neighbor brought home a box of kittens he found in the park. Instead of calling animal control, he decided to keep them. Besides the incessant meowing throughout the day and night, a massive horde of fleas decided to migrate through his light sockets and into my nice clean apartment. FML
Furry feral friend
Today, I'm covered in scratches because a feral cat found its way under the house and tore apart the A/C duct to climb its way into my room in the middle of the night. After 30 minutes of chasing it, I got rid of it, but my room now smells like cat piss and I'm applying Neosporin to places I should never have to. FML
Today, my sister is nursing an injured cat back to health in our home because she accidentally hit it with her car. Now I can't decide which is contributing more to my insomnia: the incessant meowing, or the constant itching because our house is infested with fleas. FML
Today, like every other day for the past two weeks, the strange cat that has adopted me inexplicably made its way into my house and curled up next to my head while I slept. I'm horribly allergic. FML
Crowded house
Today I opened the door for my cat and he brought in a rat with him. Now the rat is hiding in my house. FML
Today, I got to go back into my house after it had been tented. Suddenly, a foul stench filled my house. My husband checked all around the house and finally checked under the house. There were more than 12 dead stray cats under our house, and guess who was in charge of pulling them out? FML
Today, I came home from holiday, only to find my house full of small decomposing animals, courtesy of my cat. FML
Today, I let my new cat sleep in bed with me. It was cute until she wiped a tapeworm onto my arm. FML
Today, after weeks of wondering if my cat has a fetish for licking my bed covers, I finally witnessed him licking up an ant off of the covers. Turns out that my bed is infested with ants. FML
Today, I woke up to shit on my floor and my cat hiding under my comforter. I have to get rid of my new fish because my cat is afraid of it. FML

Don't be such a pussy, get some flea-sprays and take care of that! At least now you have an awesome kitty. :)

And maybe bathe the cat for goodness' sake.

That's to be expected when you take in an abandoned cat. I work at an animal shelter. Not once did a cat come in with no fleas. Just bath him in vinegar (that will kill the live ones) and then put on some flea treatment to kill the eggs. Other wise you'll just have more in a couple days.

Just think of the fleas as new friends. A cat lady's gotta start somewhere.

Simple solution: bring in a few flies. They'll naturally gravitate toward the flue, and, after wondering what to do, they'll eventually decide to flee through a flaw in the flue.

Ouch, obviously that nursery rhyme isn't as common as I thought. Well, maybe you can swallow the fleas as a prequel to a spider. Unfortunately, it'll all escalate rather quickly and, well, you'll end up choking down a horse and dying. I'll leave it to you to decide what part of the horse.

There was an old lady who swallowed a fly...

That's what happens when you mess with strange animals. You're lucky it isn't something worse. Get some flea spray and learn from this experience. Although, I can't say that you deserve it because that was a nice thing to do.

Strange animals? A cat is not a strange animal, quite common if you ask me. Hence all the cats you always see everywhere, and all the people hoarding them...

I think she meant "strange" as unfamiliar animals. Like new pets

I absolutely agree. It's nice to take in strays from the streets, but you have to be prepared for the mess that they'll bring with them.

Aww poor little guy it's not its fault. You should feel good about giving it a home. There's plenty of stuff to get rid of fleas.

Make a flea circus, I know I would. Man, that's been my dream; fleas doing miniature-hopscotch, doing mini somersaults and jumping to the rhythym of The Entertainer. So many possibilities.

It didn't play when I clicked on it. I think your joke(?) is broken

want to know how to make the fleas flee? Call the itchy bitchy spider.

You knew what this was. Sincerely, the cat.
