Today, my parents gave me an iPhone. They then checked my grades online, and promptly took it away. FML
Today, my parents told me off for reading, as opposed to watching TV like the rest of the family, because it was "anti-social". FML
Today, I found out that the only reason my parents have been letting me hang out with my friends so late is so they can search my room for drugs. FML
Today, my parents canceled the Internet at our house because they view it as a "passing fad." FML
Today, I had to be the responsible adult and take my parents' phones away. Most of their time is spent on social media and low-quality brainrot. FML
Today, I accidentally left some music playing on my iPad, then left to do some errands. When I came back, I found it smashed into a million pieces. Apparently, grandpa couldn't find any other way to "shut off that goddamn music." FML
Today, my parents grounded me and took away my phone, iPod and door. That's right, my door. They think that because I was stumbling and couldn't walk straight last night, I must have been out drinking. They know I suffer from chronic vertigo, but don't believe I was having an attack. FML
Today, my mum dismissed my diagnosed schizophrenia as "too much time with those earphones in". FML
Today, my parents yelled at me for coming home drunk from a party last night. They said I couldn't hang out with my best friend anymore as he's a "bad influence". He was the only one sober in our group and drove me home safely. FML
Today, my parents took away my laptop, TV, Xbox, and car all because I broke up with my girlfriend. They said when I patch things up with her, I can have my stuff back. FML

anti-social? ...yea, that's why crowds in the thousands go to concerts, and why friends crank their favorite songs in the car and sing along with it... i'd vote fyl, but i think i feel worse for your parents... for being gullible, ignorant twits. so... f your parents' lives.

Parents can be so idiotic. Fyl OP, I would hate to get my music taken away. At least you can sing in the shower or something. It's better than nothing (:

Even if, hypothetically, music DID make you less social, what's so horrible about that? Parents seems to think there's something wrong with their kids if they're even slightly antisocial, but introverted people are just as happy and fulfilled as extroverted. It's silly.

There's a difference between being asocial and being antisocial. Antisocial means you are actively hostile toward people around you.
