Make it stop!
Today, I accidentally left some music playing on my iPad, then left to do some errands. When I came back, I found it smashed into a million pieces. Apparently, grandpa couldn't find any other way to "shut off that goddamn music." FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I went in my room to play my guitar. I found my Les Paul on the floor with all the strings missing. I later found out my grandma cut them off because I was playing "Devil's Music." FML
Today, I got a new computer because my old one crashed, deleting all music, photos, and documents. I still had all my music on my iPod though, and went to sync it to the new computer. By accident, my younger brother pulled the cord out before it was done, deleting all 3,000 songs forever. FML
Today, I found my son's iPod touch and was looking at a light-saber app. He walked into the living room to see me fighting the cat and making sound effects to myself. FML
Today, I was taking a bus ride home, listening to some music. The music stopped and I assumed my iPod's battery had run out. Turns out someone managed to steal it, leaving my earphones in. I didn't feel a thing. FML
Today, I was playing music from my phone, which was on the couch. I guess my dog got jealous, because she picked it up and ran over to the toilet, promptly dropping it right in. FML
Today, I was in the car going to a concert with my family. I was listening to my iPod, when the wheel broke and I couldn't change the song. So for the rest of the trip, I was stuck either listening to my parents arguing, or Don't Worry, Be Happy by Bobby McFerrin on repeat. FML
Today, my parents confiscated my iPod, because the parents' group they go to came to the conclusion that music is a gateway to anti-social behavior. FML
Today, I was listening to music while I wrapped Christmas presents. All was going well when the music was cut off, literally. I snipped the cable to my very expensive headphones in half. FML
Today, I was listening to music on my phone. I activated Siri by mistake, which stopped the music. I told Siri to, "turn the damn music back on." She replied, "Now calling Afton." Afton is my ex. While trying to quickly end the call, my phone froze and the buttons stopped working. FML
Today, I was going to the bathroom at work. Since I knew it would take a while, I brought my iPod in for entertainment. To bad it disabled me from hearing the continuous knocks on the door as well as the manager eventually picking the lock and busting in. FML

excessive or not, she wouldn't have the same problem if she had a Nokia.

Isn't that how people solve their problems in Texas though?
LeFrogDog 27
@54 No, we tie a rope around it and drag it behind a horse. Then stone it to death.

Nokia would have made holes in the wall but the music would have been still playing just fine..

Comment moderated for rule-breaking.
I'm overly cautious with my electronics...shutting the screen off on my phone, locking it..and they go everywhere with me. I can't imagine just leaving it running and lying around, especially with the kind of music I listen to.. lol. but really- that sucks

Old people and the latest technology generally do not mix well.

I imagine it is hard for older people to use such complex devices. sorry op your iPad got destroyed!

My grandmother is in her late 50's and she uses her iPad everyday...

I think we were shooting for people that are actually over the age of retirement.... Not just your grandma.

Being in your fifties usually doesn't limit you from learning, both of my parents are in the 50-60 range and they play with all my gadgets after I teach them the basics.

My "Introduction to Microsoft" course is taught by an 80 year old. Let me tell ya, that old bitch knows her way around a computer.

Old people and technology. If he couldn't figure it out he could have called and asked or put it in another room.
Dark__Angel66 24
Some older people are too stubborn to do that, and just want the device off.

Justin Beiber fan right ???
amy6703 6
If it were Justin Bieber playing, my guess is the iPad would have hurled itself out a window to make it stop.
Roley4498 14

So what, he's never heard of earplugs? FYL ...
Yakostovian 18
yes, because earplugs are readily available in a standard home setting.
davincidasecond 24
Well going out and buying something to cover or plug your ears is a far better alternative than smashing someone's shit because you don't know how to turn it off.
