Today, my mom walked me to school to make sure I don't cut class. I'm 20 years old. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, in front of a bunch of people on my college campus, my mom grabbed my hand and lead me across the street. I'm 20. FML
Helicopter parents
Today, instead of having my friends come pick me up, my dad drove me over to visit them. He insisted on walking me up to the door, hugging me goodbye, and making sure my friends were appropriate enough to hang out with. I'm in college. FML
Today, I missed my bus, so I walked home in the rain from school, only to realize my mom had been following me the whole time in the car, laughing her ass off. FML
I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike
Today, I argued with my mom that I deserved enough independence to ride my bike to school. Halfway there, I realized I was so out of shape that I had to call her for a ride. FML
Today, my mom left me at home with a babysitter. I'm 17. FML
Mom of the year
Today, my car’s at the mechanic's so I called my mom and asked her to come pick me up from class, since it ends at 9pm and I was scared to walk home at night. She told me, “Oh honey, you have nothing to worry about, you’re too fat to get raped, plus you need the exercise.” FML
Meddling
Today, I was sitting in math class taking notes on my laptop when my mom texted me, asking why I wasn’t in class. She has my location for security purposes. I’m 19 and in college. FML
Today, my mom and I went to Winn-Dixie. I told her I was going to a different isle 5 minutes later I hear my name on the intercom to go to the front of the store. As I go I see my mom crying, she comes and hugs me and tells me she thought I was lost. Im 22, I had my cell phone, and I drove there. FML
Behave!
Today, I told my mom I was going swimming with friends. She told me, in front of them, not to go into the deep end unless there was an adult around because I'm not old enough to swim on my own. I'm 19. FML
My little boy
Today, I had to meet my mother. Being a college student, I decided I was too lazy to shave this morning. She noticed the stubble on my face, and started crying because I'm growing up. I'm 23 years-old. My dad yelled at me for making my mom cry. FML

YDI for your mom feeling that it was necessary. You must have done something first.

OP deserves it for cutting class so much
Shitz_N_Gigglez 0
I agree with 51 on this. OP stop ditching and you won't have to worry about it.

she is just making sure you won't have to repeat grade 12 for a third time
MyStarrz 0
Yeahh either repeat 12th grade ..or by that time you may be in college that is no longer public(free) school ....which means YDI for not taking your education seriously and also wasting her money and i say HER bcz if OP was payingg they would understand not 2 **** aroundd

At least you didn't forget your lunchbox. That would have been devastating.

Not necessarily. I've got a classmate who's in his mid-20's, and his mom still refuses to let him move out of her house, get his own job, or go much of anywhere unaccompanied. On the other hand, it does say "to make sure I don't cut class", implying he/she has skipped a lot in the past. This one could go either way.

pysht tell ur friend to just leave. she can't stop them

#24, your friend is in his mid-20's, and his mom 'refuses' to let him move out?! How exactly is she stopping him? Seems like if he really wanted to move out, he would!

how can she walk u to school?? or did u meant to say college or univesity , n in that case it's very unusual for u to say she walked u cuz they are almost never conveniently located so close to houses like schools are , u r 20 u shuld have graduated by now!!

I think they drove parked then walked ...... but u knowvjust an idea

How sweet that she still cares. FYL.

I'm guessing you are in college since you are 20. if she's paying for this education of yours and senses you don't care...by skipping...maybe you deserve to be walked to school by mommy.

college is free in france. (apart from business schools and very few private schools) she probably just doesn't want him to skip class. and also has nothing else to do.

OP may not be in France; that is the default location. I'm curious to know how his mom knew he cut class if he is in college/university. It's not like the dean calls your mom to say you are missing classes.
