Today, my grocery shopping consisted of Poptarts, SpaghettiOs, Lucky Charms, Popsicles, Easy Mac, and Twinkies. I'm a 25-year-old woman with no kids. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, my mother went shopping. She bought three boxes of Popsicles and a giant stuffed dog. She did not buy dinner or toilet paper. I've eaten nothing but cereal and popcorn for three days now. FML
Parenting gone feral
Today, as I searched for food to take to work for lunch, I noticed that the only recent addition to our fridge is chocolate milk and popsicles. My mom went grocery shopping yesterday. FML
Today, I went to the grocery store, and I realized that all I bought was cat food and $30 worth of protein bars. Yes, I have become THAT single woman. FML
Sadly discontinued
Today, I was grocery shopping. When I got to the frozen foods, I saw some Lean Pockets, which I haven't had in forever, so I bought a couple of boxes. Around lunch time, I was hungry and thought I could have some, until I realized why I stopped buying them: I don't have a microwave. FML
Today, I accidentally washed an entire box of macaroni and cheese with a load of laundry. I'm 25 and do not have kids. FML
Today, I sent my boyfriend to the store to get groceries while I was at work. Instead of what I listed, he came back with hot pockets, ice cream and beer. I'm lactose intolerant and pregnant. FML
Hangry
Today, I stopped at a mini-mart and bought a family-size bag of potato chips, a tub of dip, a box of toaster pastries, and some snack cakes. The guy at the counter said, "Wow, someone's hungry!" I told him it wasn't all for me, paid, and left in a huff. It was all for me. I ate it all by that evening. FML
Off script
Today, my fiancee asked me to text her a grocery list. I asked for meat, fruit, vegetables, you know, the staples. She came back with tons of sugar cereal, pop tarts, cookie dough, and other unhealthy crap. We have no other food, our monthly budget is gone, and junk food gives me horrible stomach cramps. FML
Lunch Special
Today, we have nearly no food in the house. My husband went shopping with the kids and returned with a sack of tomatoes. Time to make lunch. FML
Today, I was craving some popcorn, so I went to the supermarket and bought the microwaveable type. When I got home, I remembered I didn't have a microwave. FML

What the hell is wrong with you? You consider THAT food? How could you possibly live on that crap? You clearly forgot the Oreos and beer.

28: Let them have their fun. The way I see it is that your comment was the only one which wasn't relevant to my own. If it bothers me to have people use my thread, I'll tell them myself.

Isn't that practically what you just did, 28?

You're probably not as alone as you think on that one. Once my parents don't have to buy me my food, I'm going straight to the store and buying everything they wouldn't.

be glad you have food on the table
UnidentifiedFun 37
...what?

I think what #58 was trying to say is even though your parent don't buy a lot if the things you like, you still have food on the table regardless. Don't take it for granted. Sure, there's things you might enjoy and like, which you might not always get from the store, but don't dismiss it all together. If I have insulted you in anyway, I apologize, but it's true.

102: she was just joking. get your granny panties out of a bunch

She never said she took it for granted or didn't appreciate the food they gave her. What she said was now that she is old enough to buy her own food, she is going to by the things they didn't buy. I see no insult to her family in her post. People just want to judge and argue here.

The Internet is (annoyingly) a great place to incessantly argue and troll others. It almost echoes their real life behavior lol

There is a reason kids like those food choices. THEYRE YUMMY!
JMichael 26
**** yea they're yummy! All the food that's bad for you tastes great while the food that's good for you tastes like my mothers cooking.

I think the only choice we get out of those in Australia is easymac.
iluvpeanutbutter 22
You can buy PopTarts from some lolly shops, but they're crazy expensive- something along the lines of $12 for a box of 8.
SmuggletheBudgie 15
Oh yeah! theres one at a train station in melb I think.

I'm going to stock up on my next trip to the US :)

College life right there.

No ramen?? Don't feel bad, at my college we eat almost anything if it's cheap enough.
JazNim17 18
I think that's the way it is at all colleges. Otherwise I wouldn't be living on ramen and hot pockets. Not that there's anything wrong with ramen or hot pockets.

Ew you should eat better!
MichellinMan 20
That's not the point. And I'm not explaining it.

I think so too. (With the you should eat better)

I don't disagree with what was bought but I think she should include a few natural foods to reduce the sugar craving.

BEER?! She can't set a bad reputation for the kids! *cough cough*

#11: Exactly. She should get whiskey.
