Today, my future mother-in-law finally admitted that I'm "not the girl for her son" and that she will do anything to break us up. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Menace 2 society
Today, my future mother-in-law started shit-talking me on Facebook, and we got into a heated argument. She called me later in the day, saying I'll be lucky if I ever marry her son and that, "You'll suffer to your last breath." I'm now terrified to set foot outside. FML
Today, my future mother-in-law gave me advice on life. One piece of advice was that I should leave her son. FML
Today, I met my future mother-in-law. All went well; she complimented my dress, and I complimented her haircut. Then she and her son had a screaming match over how our children will be fat because of their mother. FML
Mommy's boy
Today, my awful future daughter-in-law went off on me and said that I'm just jealous that she's marrying my son and I'm not. Furious, I told my husband, expecting him to side with me, but all he said was, "Well… are you?" FML
Today, I found out that my boyfriend's mother still calls his ex-girlfriend her "future daughter-in-law". FML
Today, I learned that if you complain to your mom about your future mother-in-law's bitchiness, your overprotective mom might confront her about it and end up punching her in the face. My fiancée blames me for the incident. FML
Family Ties
Today, my future mother-in-law blamed me for the death of her husband because I should have taken him to the ER when she didn't feel like it. She then blamed me for her getting a new boyfriend less than two months later and making her son hate her when she insisted he call the guy "Dad". FML
But mah grandbabiiiiiiiiez
Today, my mother found out that my fiancée broke up with her last boyfriend because she didn't want kids and he did. She's now demanding that I either change her mind, or call things off with her. FML
Control
Today, my future mother-in-law informed me that since she is putting money into our wedding, that all the planning and arrangements are under her authority. FML
#Childfree
Today, my mother-in-law asked me when my fiancé and I were going to start having children. When I told her we weren't planning on having any, she went on a tirade about how selfish and cold I am for denying her precious grandchildren. Now she hates me. FML

She's probably old. She'll be dead soon. Wait it out.

My two cents: You need to involve your fiancé. If he doesn't believe you, take it as a yellow flag and proceed with [extreme] caution. There's some truth to the whole "you marry the family" thing; differences on culture, including family culture, can cause big problems. It doesn't matter how independent you are from his family or they are from you right now. Even if you live continents away from her, life throws you curveballs and things can change quickly. He should probably sit down alone with Mom and fully hear her out. If he still wants to be with you (and he should), he should tell her "Thanks for your concern. I've heard you out but I disagree. Please respect my decision and butt out. If you don't, these will be the consequences...". Then hold them both to it. You need to be civil and respectful to her, but keeping your distance until she changes is a totally reasonable personal boundary issue. Good luck.

my mother n law said the same thing. n she wasnt kidn. she tryd everything to break us up. even now aftr being married for5 yrs shes still doing it. her loss in the end tho cause my husband disownd her for a very long time caus of that and now her own grandkids dont even kno who she is. alil advice to u: dont let her get to u, try to ignore all the stupid sht she says. easier said than done i know but its better than letn her get to u and u loseing ur mind over her. i learnd that the hard way. good luck with her. hopefully u n ur husband to bs love is strong enuf to overcome anything that witch throws at u

My mil was like that when her son and I were first married. My husband had a talk with her to knock her shit off and he wouldn't tolerate her hostility anymore. I hope your fiance sticks up for you. If not, I would suggest you leave him cause he will be a 'momma's boy' forever and your mil will meddle in your relationship.

Tell her back "You are the right mother-in-law for me either" and marry that guy to spike her, make sure you have a camera ready to snap her facial expression on your wedding day.
