Today, my boyfriend threw out my old voicemail recorder, thinking it was junk. My father passed away years ago. I kept a recording of the last voicemail he'd left me on it so I'd always remember his voice. FML

Today, my boyfriend broke up with me by rapping in a voicemail. FML
Today, I ran up to my boyfriend and gave him a kiss. I didn't understand why the girl next to him got upset, but it turns out the voicemail I deleted by accident was him breaking up with me. FML
Today, my dad got a new phone and put me on speed dial. I have received several voice mails from him accidentally dialed. They are from him riding the train, in a meeting, having lunch, and, most recently, him taking a monstrous dump. FML
Today, I was going to record a song I wrote for my dad, who I haven't spoke to in a couple of years. After getting things together, I called my mom to let her know I'd be doing this. She informed me he died. A year ago. FML
Today, my boyfriend sent me a text saying to call him. When I did, it went straight to voicemail. It was a recording of him breaking up with me. He broke up with me over the phone, without even talking to me. FML
Today, after we got home from the doctor's office, my mom checked the voicemail. Loud and clear, we both heard my boyfriend's break-up message. My parents had already forbidden me from dating. FML
Today, I asked my father if I could have my grandfather's old vinyls, record player, and vintage tube radio. He told me he threw those out years ago because, "Who listens to that crap anymore, now that we have mp3s?" FML
Today, I took out my phone and realized I butt dialed my girlfriend and left her a 4 minute voicemail of me farting in an echoing toilet bowl. FML
Today, I found my 6-year-old daughter recording herself on her little tape recorder. When I asked her what she was up to, she replied in her cute little voice, "I'm recording myself so you'll have a souvenir when I'm dead." FML

That's terrible OP :/ at the risk of sounding like an asshole (not trying to in any way) sometimes it's better to not have the things around that strike strong hurtful memories ya know? Keeps you locked in the misery of someone's dying. But I don't know your situation and my apologies if I've offended anyone

Throw out his XBOX or whatever console he has and tell him it was just something he didn't need then dump his ass. Seriously, if he is your boyfriend, especially, he should not be going through your stuff to throw it out. It is YOURS. I am terribly sorry to hear that he is ignorant, and I hope that you will be okay. Then again, perhaps it was for the best so you can let things go. It still wasn't his place, though.

Please know the definition of sociopath before calling someone that. "A person with a personality disorder manifesting itself in extreme antisocial attitudes and behavior and a lack of conscience." Whether 121 is or not, that was really just a jerk move on their part.
