Today, my boyfriend proposed. Two hours later I get a text from my ex announcing he has just been diagnosed with chlamydia. I now have to explain this to my fiancé. FML

Today, I was talking to my situationship when he dropped the bomb that he wanted to break up, and that he'd tested positive for chlamydia. FML
Today, I got a text from a guy I hooked up with once before my current boyfriend. The guy told me he has chlamydia, and I should probably get tested. I had to call my boyfriend to explain what happened and tell him to get tested. I'm meeting his family this weekend at his sister's wedding. FML
Today, my birthday, was going great until my boyfriend received a text from a girl saying he gave her chlamydia. Now I have no boyfriend, but at least I have the chlamydia keeping me company. FML
Today, I found out that my boyfriend cheated on me by testing myself for STIs/STDs and got a positive result for chlamydia. FML
Today, at my physical, I found out that my ex-boyfriend who broke up with me 4 months ago was not only cheating on me, but had also manage to catch chlamydia and give it to me. I'm now dating someone else, so I had to explain that I've had chlamydia for 4 months without knowing, and he should probably get tested. FML
Today, while with my new boyfriend, my ex called to tell me I needed to go to the doctor to get checked out. He had gotten an STD from the girl he cheated on me with. FML
Today, I confessed my feelings to the guy I've been seeing. He confessed that he gave me chlamydia. FML
Today, my Christmas present from my boyfriend was chlamydia. FML
Today, I broke up with my boyfriend. I also found out I have an STD. I was clean before we dated. FML
Today, while having sex with my boyfriend, my phone rang. We continued to have sex while I took the call. It was my gyno calling to tell me that I tested positive for chlamydia and that I needed to tell my partner. Yeah, sex ended real quick. FML

It could always be worse. [like herpes or hepatitis] Fortunately chlamydia is curable. Just get yourself checked out and if you have it, get the antibiotics for it, then don't f**k while you're taking the antibiotics.

I'm seeing alot of YDI. I don't see where the OP deserves it. Yes she slept with her ex. But that could of been a year ago or even two years ago. Males don't always show symptoms of STD or STI and even that she might not have gotten the std if she has no issues. The ex is being a man and telling every he's been with that he has a disease. Now if she said that she was still sleeping with him then different story.

True but she then goes on to say she now has to explain it like it's a problem to do so...it is badly worded but either she has something to hide or she's stupid for thinking that the guy she's actually willing to spend the rest of her life with wouldn't understand.

To some people those matters are hard. I think the best way to handle it is explain what's going on "honey my ex called saying he has a STI. We should both go and get tested to be safe" It's his reaction to ^sentance that would make anyone nervous. Assuming OP is innocent and this is all very bad luck.

so long as he passed it on to you before you were with the fiance he should understand. but i would get cheked out first because if you didnt get it, then no problem. IF he's a good guy, he will understand.
