Today, my boyfriend found out I have OCD. When I touch something with one hand I have to touch it with the other or I freak. After I brushed his face with the back of my hand he tackled me to the floor, held me down, and laughed at me while I panicked and tried to touch him with my other hand. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I told my boyfriend about my foot phobia. To help me "get over it", he took his socks off, pinned me down, and rubbed his foot against my face until I started sobbing. FML
Today, I was on a subway with my boyfriend and it was stopping so I grabbed the pole for support. I felt another hand grabbing onto the pole knowing it was my boyfriend's. Without looking I carressed and tickled his hand. I turned around to smile at my boyfriend. The hand wasn't his. FML
Like in the movies
Today, my boyfriend tried to be romantic by dipping me backwards and kissing me. He dropped me on my butt, then stepped on my hand while trying to help me up. FML
Today, I was at my new boyfriend's flat. As I came out of the toilet he walked over, took my hand, looked at me and whispered, "You washed your hands. Good." in an extremely creepy manner. FML
That's… a crime?
Today, I finally told my boyfriend that I see a therapist every week because, amongst other things, I'm terrified of being locked in a room. He didn't believe me, so he locked me in the bathroom "for a laugh." I had a panic attack and passed out. FML
Vicious circle
Today, I found out that my boyfriend's most frequent OCD tic is also the biggest trigger of my misophonia. FML
Today, my boyfriend and I were play-wrestling on the bed, when he started to tickle me. I tried to pull away but he pushed me back down. I ended up hitting my eye on the corner of the nightstand. His comment was "this is why you shouldn't struggle." FML
Today, my boyfriend yelled at me. Apparently I'm not the "classy girl" he thought I was, and he's not comfortable "doing such vile things in public." I had tried to hold his hand. FML
Trigger warning
Today, I was on the phone with my boyfriend and I told him that I was going to tickle him, to which he responded me how he’d “crack” me in the head so that I’d never even think about tickling him again. It threw me into a panic attack and people laughed. I’m a survivor of domestic violence. FML
Today, I walked into my bedroom to find my boyfriend clipping his toe nails into my pillow case. FML

There's something positive to be said for someone who won't automatically entertain their partner's every quirk but challenges the partner to consider situations differently (Remember the movie "As Good As It Gets"?)

Being held down isn't 'challenging' someone to 'consider the situation differently'. It's abuse.
Jewelofagal 2
In this situation, it isn't.

OCD isn't a "quirk", it's a recognized psychological disorder.

The rituals in OCD are sometimes called quirks. The same with an episode of Tourette's.

Consider it therapy...

Yeah, seriously, I was thinking he's just trying to help her get over her OCD! :D ... in a horrifying and forceful way ._.

Ha same thing happens to me, but only when I get one hand wet. I don't freak out though I just get the urge to get my other hand wet.

HAHAHA "enjoy your lifetime never getting laid"????? that's an amusingly terrible insult. why would that be the first thing to come into your brain. you've convinced me that YOU'VE never been laid, since you obviously know how terrible it is. you suck.

Are you crazy?? Or are you from some place where abusing your girlfriend/wife/etc. is funny and youtube-worthy? Please remove yourself from the gene-pool asap, if so.

So you're saying that if you fell in a park, and one hand accidentally touched a pile of dog poop, you'd have to put your other hand in it too?

If she actually has OCD and isn't just bullshitting, yeah, probably. And that'd just be hilarious.

it's not rational like that. it's not everything that needs to be even.

He's just trying to teach you some self-control. What if you touched boiling water or poison ivy? You'll be thankful he cares enough to provide therapy then.
Moemoemoe_fml 0
Go ahead and try teaching "self-control" to blind people too then? How about you beat them up as well, as punishment for them "not wanting to see"? Hm? Because clearly, they have a choice in this, huh? Like OP has chosen to have a mental disorder, right? You fail at life.
t2icu 0
oh yeah cuz you can totally make a comparison to someone with permanent physical damage with a person to someone with a mental issue. -_- there's shows on the health channel on these things where people are made to correct it, so why not correct it? after all, "it's all in your head."
Spastastic 6
I highly doubt her boyfriend is a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist.

Dump him and find someone considerate. They're out there.
