Today, my girlfriend came to my workplace to tell me she was breaking up with me. My boss, who was passing by, fired me for "chatting with friends" during work hours. FML

This is why I don't agree with no-fault states. I feel as if there has to be a valid reason (unable to perform the job correctly, chronically late, etc.) in order to be fired. Stories like this just irk me! So sorry, OP.
