Today, it was my first day of softball practice. I'm the youngest one on the team by about 2 years, so I wanted to prove I'm just as good as everyone else. Too bad I tripped in the outfield and got hit in the head with a bat. I have a concussion. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I guest-played as a catcher for a new fastpitch softball team. After the first couple of innings, the batter fouled a ball back into my catcher's mask. As a concussion test, the coach asked me what her name was. I decided to fake the concussion rather than admit that I'd forgotten her name. FML
Today, I started playing softball again in a league after not playing for about 5 years. My very first time at the bat I whacked a foul ball into the parking lot and hit my own car. FML
Today, I got a concussion. It was when an entire shelf of bicycle helmets tumbled onto my skull. FML
Today, while practicing my gymnastics routine on the uneven bars, I was so distracted by my teammates' conversation about a party later that I miscalculated my flip and smacked my head on a bar. Ten stitches and a concussion later, I was left alone in the hospital. FML
Today, I was trying out for a position as pitcher for my college baseball team. I threw the ball as hard as I could, and then collapsed to the ground in agony from a dislocated shoulder. FML
Benched
Today, my baseball team had a game and one of our best players was injured sliding into first. I'm pretty fast so when the coach called my name I grabbed a helmet assuming it was finally my chance to get in the game. Turns out he just wanted me to get ice. The entire team couldn't stop laughing. FML
Today, at work I was playing football with one of my camp kids in the indoor-pool. I saw a co-worker walking by and I decided to hit him with the football. The football slipped out of my hand and I hit a lady in the face, breaking her nose, and causing her to fall and get a concussion. FML
Today, I was hit in the head by a golf ball. I wasn't near a golf course, and nobody was anywhere in sight. I'm still trying to figure out what happened. FML
Today, I got hit so hard in the head by a dodgeball that a contact popped right out. To make matters worse, I continued to get hit as a futilely searched for it. FML
Today, I was playing tetherball with my younger brother. I get really competitive, so I threw it as hard as I could. It came around and hit me in the face. FML

I know exactly how you feel! I played U13 for the first time a few years ago when I was only 10 and I was at least 2 years younger than everyone else. I was always trying so hard to impress them lol FYL OP, but don't sweat, you'll hve plenty of time to make up for it :]

That was my first thought. How did a bat end up in the outfield?

I swear to god, ALL FML's START WITH TODAY! I don't like to use caps, but jeeze. Further, just because they have a concussion doesn't mean they are a brain-dead vegetable. Concussion symptoms vary in intensity and duration from person to person. For some the symptoms of a concussion can be subtle or slow to develop, anywhere from hours to days. I received a hard blow to the back of my head when I fainted and fell backwards onto concrete. I denied medical attention and was able to walk home. It wasn't until 24 hours later, when my head felt like it was going to explode that I sought a doctor and he diagnosed a concussion. Weeks later this person could just have a mild headache from their concussion and be fully capable of typing a quick story on FML.

If these were simultaneous events you seriously fail, because you shouldn't have a bat in the outfield.
