Today, I woke up early and made my boyfriend french toast. When he woke up, he yelled at me because it was his dish day and I was creating more dishes for him to do. He made me do the dishes. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, my boyfriend yelled at me from the other room for washing the dishes "too loudly". FML
Today, I woke up to my boyfriend making breakfast. I thought he was making it for me, so I sat at the table. When he walked over with his plate, he said, "Oh, I didn't know you were here!" I'd slept in the same bed with him last night. FML
Sounds like a keeper
Today, my boyfriend came home and demanded dinner. I started suggesting things, but he threw out that we should just fend for ourselves. I made pasta and offered him some, but he decided to throw a fit and go to bed at 6:30pm without dinner. He then woke up at 9 to complain he was hungry, then slept on the couch. FML
Damned if you do…
Today, I woke up early to do the dishes and clean up, after having people over yesterday. Now my wife is mad at me because I didn't stay in bed with her longer. FML
Today, my boyfriend set up a very romantic dinner. Afterwards, he offered to wash the dishes while I went upstairs and relaxed. His way of washing the dishes was to scrape all the food off, then wipe the juices off the dishes with a paper towel before putting them back in the cupboards. FML
Today, my boyfriend told me that I have the bad habit of not doing the dishes before he has his daily piss in the sink. FML
Today, my boyfriend said he was going to give me breakfast in bed before he left. He walked over, threw some granola bars on the bed next to me and left. FML
Cut him some slack
Today, it was my turn to do the dishes. My lazy dad just leaves his dishes in the sink without even wiping or rinsing them out, and it's been going on for weeks. When I confronted him about it, he gave a childish huff and said, "Well, next time, YOU make me breakfast!" He's unemployed and never does the dishes. FML
Today, my boyfriend was cooking me dinner. He walked away and I decided to help by giving the pan of veggies a sautee flip. My boyfriend failed to mention that he had just pulled that pan out of a 500 degree oven. FML
Cooked
Today, my boyfriend wanted to make breakfast. Since I usually do all the cooking, I said that was fine. Four hours later, my boyfriend and I were sitting on the sidewalk across the street as the firemen sprayed down the burnt remains of our kitchen. FML

Get a new boyfriend. This one is definitely a failure.

YDI for being a douchebag enabler.

If my boyfriend made me breakfast, I would be so busy being delighted that I wouldn't even realize there were dishes. And I'd be fine with doing them, since he made the food.

If he had a problem with washing just a few more dishes then he shouldn't be washing dishes at all. Maybe it's just me, but I'm pretty particular about the cleanliness of the things in my kitchen and when someone is this lazy when it comes to washing dishes he can't be trusted to do a proper job. Why does he have dish days anyway? He's a guy. Surely there are things he takes care of around the house that would "balance out" you having to do the dishes all the time? My husband doesn't wash the dishes and I'd never expect him to. I do, however, expect him to change the light bulbs, fix/hook up appliances and so on. I agree that it sucks he yelled at you, but it all could have been avoided if you stopped being so anal about doing dishes (I can't imagine he was the one that suggested "dish days").

To the people taking the boyfriends side, your a dumbass and probably should never get married. It's not that hard to clean up some extra dishes hot water takes the syrup away. To bitch about it just shows your probably some lazy fat bastard anyway. He's probably a fatass that doesn't need anymore food.

OP, please dump that lame excuse for a boyfriend and next time use better judgment in your choice of a partner (please notice that your boyfriend is your CHOICE).

drop his ass on a fire of coals, if he doesn't care about the thought of taking the time to make the french toast, which is harder, he's not thinking of you

geez, i can't believe people actually think you should break up with him just because of that. i dislike washing dishes and i wouldn't be too excited about you making me a bunch of dishes to clean early in the morning, either, even though it was really sweet of you to make something for him. i'd give him the benefit of the doubt, and just next time do it on your day. and, in revenge, use a lot of dishes tomorrow

Wow I can't believe how many people are siding with the boyfriend. French toast doesn't make a mess and even if it did it was still the gesture that counts. You'd think he'd be super excited that his girlfriend spent the extra time making a nice hot meal for him but instead he is an ass concerned with maybe 4 extra dishes to wash at most. I am sure he randomly dirties extra dishes on her day. Yet I doubt she complains because she loves him and after all it's dishes 20 minutes at most.
