Today, I went to the movies. After it was over I got up and noticed a designer purse sitting on the ground in the back row. I opened it to look for anything that could give me a address so I could return it. The owner came back, assumed I was robbing her, and punched me in the nose. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I found a purse in the school bathroom. When I looked inside, there was an iPod along with some other expensive stuff in it. I took it to the office so the right owner would get it back. The owner passed me in the hall on the way there; she freaked out and punched me in the face. FML
Today, my girlfriend asked me to hold her purse while shopping. All of a sudden, a robber punched me in the face and took her purse. She started crying about her purse and told me to get off the ground because I was embarrassing her. FML
Today, I was walking through a rough part of town, when a woman screamed that I'd stolen her bag. I was tackled to the ground by a large guy, who then gave my bag to her. FML
Today, I was working as a cashier and a woman brought up a suitcase. As I was ringing her up I checked inside like I'm supposed to and I very jokingly say, "Look at all the stuff you're stealing." She laughed nervously then hit me in the head with her heavy purse before running out of the store. FML
Today, while on my way to the movies, I stopped at a gas station to pick up candy so I could avoid the high prices at the movies. The guy who tore my ticket asked for my purse, confiscated my candy, and then kicked me out of the movie theater. That guy was my boyfriend. FML
Today, I went to the movies with my girlfriend. As I started putting my arm around her, I hit her in the face. FML
Today, I was at the store when I saw that a cart in the checkout line next to me was starting to roll away and the owner hadn't noticed. I tried to help by reaching out to stop the cart from moving, but when the owner saw me with the cart, she began to hit me for trying to steal her purse. FML
Today, I was walking down the street when a man stole my purse. He then opened the purse, threw up in it, and gave it back. FML
Today, I was trying on some clothes in the store's changing room, when someone reached under the door and grabbed my purse, shoes, and pants. FML
Today, I stopped to replace a stuffed bear that had fallen from a small memorial for a girl killed nearby. Her mom happened to walk by and thought I was stealing it. She hit me with her purse. FML

if I forgot my bag and went back and saw some stranger going into it.. I'd wanna smack him ydi next time when you find something that isn't yours go to the front desk and hand it to them.. you don't need to look in it to do that.. not unless you wanted to take the money in it as a reward for finding their bag.. it isn't your job to hand deliver it to them..

Not a good idea to just give the bag to the employees. Who's to say they won't just rob it and throw away the purse after they close down? What I do when I find stuff is get a few random witnesses, preferably before I touch the purse, and after asking them "Do you know to whom this belongs?" and getting a no, I tell them I'm going to look for ID and try to call the owner. That way, if the dumbass owner appears, he/she will have no reason to attack me, and if they do, I have enough witnesses to prove that retaliating was warranted.

Wow, what an ungrateful idiot. I hope you explained to her you thought it'd been left by someone and were doing what you thought was right. She should know better than to leave her purse unattended in a public place anyway, unless she forgot it then ok. But you still didn't deserve that, I hope she apologised!
