Today, I was working as a cashier and a woman brought up a suitcase. As I was ringing her up I checked inside like I'm supposed to and I very jokingly say, "Look at all the stuff you're stealing." She laughed nervously then hit me in the head with her heavy purse before running out of the store. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, while bagging my groceries at a store, a lady came over to me, took a good look at the food I'd bought, picked out an item and put it in her bag. When I confronted her, she called security on me and told them I wanted to steal her stuff. I got thrown out and she walked away with a smirk. FML
Don't bother
Today, I was at the store when I saw that a cart in the checkout line next to me was starting to roll away and the owner hadn't noticed. I tried to help by reaching out to stop the cart from moving, but when the owner saw me with the cart, she began to hit me for trying to steal her purse. FML
Today, at work, an elderly lady came up to the cash register with a flyer in her hand, and asked if we had a certain item. I told her we did not have any left, and we would be getting more next week and if she wanted, I could give her a rain check. She hit me in the face with her purse. FML
Today, at work, an old lady came through my line to buy some groceries. She told me she lost her purse and was a little short. It was busy, so I pulled out my little purse and gave her the money she needed. A few minutes later she returned with my boss, insisting that my purse was hers. FML
Today, since it's company policy, I had to go to the back of my small store to retrieve an item for a customer, even though I was working by myself. I came back to find that since she couldn't get into the cash register, she found and stole my purse instead. FML
Today, I was trying on some clothes in the store's changing room, when someone reached under the door and grabbed my purse, shoes, and pants. FML
Today, I went for a job interview. Before giving me a tour, the manager pointed to my purse and said, "Better leave that in my office." I didn't know why it was safer in her office than on my shoulder, but I complied. Later, I went to buy coffee and discovered that all my cash was missing. FML
Today, while at the mall, a lady dropped her credit card while in line to buy something. I came over, picked it up and gave it to her just for her to shove it in my hand and scream, "She's stealing my wallet! My wallet!" The police came. FML
Pranks for all ages
Today, I was grocery shopping, when an elderly lady walked up to me and tripped over her own feet. I caught her by the arm, at which point she shrieked at me for "groping" her. She ended up smirking as security threw me out of the store. FML
Weird old lady of the day
Today, I was at the supermarket when an elderly lady asked if I'd grab some coffee for her from a high shelf. The moment I took my hands off my almost-full shopping cart, she made off with it. I ended up getting thrown out by security after she claimed I was trying to steal it from her. FML

look on the bright side instead of a thief it could have been a smart thief

Actually, (from my retail experience) you're never supposed to accuse someone of stealing something even when it's obvious that they are....

Agreed, obviously you were joking, but I was always told NEVER to suggest a customer had stolen anything. What if she'd been some hyper-sensitive woman, taken it the wrong way and kicked up a fuss? I still think this is a FML though.

I think the words "heavy purse" indicate she had stolen stuff in her purse

Was there actually stuff inside?
pancakes_n_syrup 0
Exactly..ha The OP is supposed to check for stuff inside..so if there is stuff in there..what other reason is there except that they are stealing it

i was going to say the same thing, other grammar mistakes are acceptable, but that one drives me insane it's misused so much, and it's so simple.
TheLetterZero 7
No problem! :P
Kingdutch 3
Hahaha, you shout at a FML poster for making a grammar mistake. When a FML Staff member misses it you just say, no problem :) Sorry, that just made me laugh, grammar people, go ahead on this message and point out all my mistakes. :D

Im so confused... Why was this comment flagged?
TheLetterZero 7
#22, nah. It's only fun to point out simple mistakes. It gets less fun when you become more strict.
newsgit 0
but you don't honestly think that OP deserved it because of a grammar mistake, right?
Islander_fml 5
The grammar mistake that gets me more than anything is its vs. it's. It's is a contraction of "it is." Its is possessive, used to describe something that belongs to "it." So basically, if you're trying to say "it is" use an apostrophe, but for everything else use no apostrophe.

ok i do that but 4 a reason im using ps3 internet and its really hard to memorise where all the symbols r
