Today, I went to the hospital for wrenching pains in my abdomen. It turns out I have the largest "non removable" kidney stone my doctor has ever seen. It's the size of a fucking walnut. I have to pass the thing. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, my doctor confirmed that the extreme pain I've been experiencing is due to a kidney stone. My friend decided this was the time to tell me that passing a kidney stone is the male equivalent of child birth. Hello even more pain. FML
Today, I was passing a kidney stone. I had to go to the ER but had no one to take me, so I drove myself. They made me wait 3 hours because it was suspicious that someone in "so much pain" could drive. It was the largest stone that doctor had seen in his career. FML
Today, I was at my doctor's office. I thought I had a kidney stone. Turns out I'm pregnant and I have a kidney stone. FML
Yup, cool
Today, I had the pleasure of having a kidney stones removal procedure where they hammer your kidneys to break up the stones. Afterwards, the doctor called my wife over the intercom to come to back to the waiting room. She freaks out, runs back, and the doctor says, “I just wanted to show this stone. Cool huh?" FML
Today, I passed my kidney stone. After thirteen hours of pain free joy, another one appeared. FML
Today, I passed a kidney stone. This is the third one in two years. I'm only 23. FML
Clogged
Today, I ended up in the hospital for the fourth time since beginning of January due to kidney stones. FML
Today, my wife got her second kidney stone in a month. I gave her some pills to help with the pain. An hour later she started hallucinating, pulled down her pants and tried to pee on our couch. FML
Vacation tips
Today, I had a whole month off before I started my new job. On day six, I had to go to the ER because of a kidney stone and had to get a ureteral stent. In two weeks they will remove the stone, then another week until they remove the stent. I will be recovered just in time for my first day of work. FML
Are you?
Today, I was told I have kidney stones, kidney infections, and a bladder infection and that I have to get admitted into the hospital. I let my boss know, and she replied, "But you're still coming in for your shift tonight, right?" FML

Pretty sure if it were walnut sized you would end up... pissing your dick off long before you actually passed it through your urethra. Might want a second opinion on that one there, chief.

unfortunately that only way to get rid of one that size is surgery.

I would say get a second opinion on that as you are not going to be passing a stone the size of a walnut!

I have had kidney stones, they suck. They should be able to use shock waves to explode the sucker. On smaller ones they either let you pass them or use the basket to remove them. A walnut is too big to just pass. Ones the size of a pea they remove surgically. Only way one that big would be left in is if it was attached to your kidney lining.

They should be able to break it into smaller pieces with performing surgery. You need to get a second opinion. And if you have to pass it the usual way, have them give you a script for flomax

They can’t blast it into smaller pieces? Sorry to hear about the stones. I’ve heard they’re one of the most painful things to have. I’d rather go through my spine surgery again then have a kidney stone from what I’ve heard from people. Good luck mate!

Isn't that pretty much half the size of the average kidney? Passing one that big ain't happening.

Time for a second opinion. A competent doctor would be recommending a lithotripsy which would break it up.
