Today, I was passing a kidney stone. I had to go to the ER but had no one to take me, so I drove myself. They made me wait 3 hours because it was suspicious that someone in "so much pain" could drive. It was the largest stone that doctor had seen in his career. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I went to the hospital for wrenching pains in my abdomen. It turns out I have the largest "non removable" kidney stone my doctor has ever seen. It's the size of a fucking walnut. I have to pass the thing. FML
Today, I passed my kidney stone. After thirteen hours of pain free joy, another one appeared. FML
Today, I passed a kidney stone. This is the third one in two years. I'm only 23. FML
Yup, cool
Today, I had the pleasure of having a kidney stones removal procedure where they hammer your kidneys to break up the stones. Afterwards, the doctor called my wife over the intercom to come to back to the waiting room. She freaks out, runs back, and the doctor says, “I just wanted to show this stone. Cool huh?" FML
Today, my doctor confirmed that the extreme pain I've been experiencing is due to a kidney stone. My friend decided this was the time to tell me that passing a kidney stone is the male equivalent of child birth. Hello even more pain. FML
Rough week
Today, after I'd given myself a week off work for my birthday, and my alcoholic sister decided she needed to go to rehab, which then hijacked the whole week for her crisis, at 4:30 am, the morning I'm supposed to return to work, I end up in the ER with a first time kidney stone. The next thing I know, she's in the ER for an injury. FML
Today, I was at my doctor's office. I thought I had a kidney stone. Turns out I'm pregnant and I have a kidney stone. FML
Clogged
Today, I ended up in the hospital for the fourth time since beginning of January due to kidney stones. FML
Are you?
Today, I was told I have kidney stones, kidney infections, and a bladder infection and that I have to get admitted into the hospital. I let my boss know, and she replied, "But you're still coming in for your shift tonight, right?" FML
Vacation tips
Today, I had a whole month off before I started my new job. On day six, I had to go to the ER because of a kidney stone and had to get a ureteral stent. In two weeks they will remove the stone, then another week until they remove the stent. I will be recovered just in time for my first day of work. FML

They probably thought you were just going to sell whatever they gave you on the street. Kids go crazy for urine retention medicine and extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy…

Doctors never believe women when we say we're in pain.

I have never noticed the male/female shape before. And I dint know women could pass kidney stones. Alway was told the pain from passing a kidney stone for a man was to equal the pain of a women giving birth.

Then OP must not have health insurance because of the 3 or 4 times myself or my daughter rode in one it sure as hell didn't cost that much.

Taxi? Uber? Bus? I mean I assume these were not available because surely anything would've been better to drive on your own?

Yeah, I'm going to assume that a person in this level of pain, if she had any other options, she would have taken them.

Unfortunately it's pretty common for women's pain to be disregarded in hospitals :( I'm sorry you had to go through that! Hope you feel better soon

So? What's worse, having a child or having a huge kidney stone? I'm dying to know because I've had a huge kidney stone before.
