Today, I went on a date with the girl I like, to see The Fault In Our Stars. She didn't cry, but I did. Twice, hard. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, a girl I've liked for months agreed to go to a movie. We were going to see Captain Marvel, but missed the show time, so we saw Five Feet Apart. Blessing in disguise, right? Wrong. She cried while holding my hand as she talked about how in love she is with another girl. FML
Today, me and my girlfriend went and saw "The Blind Side." I sobbed throughout the entire movie. My girlfriend didn't shed a tear. FML
Today, I took a girl out to dinner. Halfway through, she sighed and asked if it was all an episode of Disaster Date. FML
Today, I took my girlfriend to go see Les Misérables. I tried to stay tough but completely lost it and started sobbing when Anne Hathaway began singing. My girlfriend called me a wimp and stayed dry-eyed throughout the whole movie. I'm dating a robot. FML
Let down
Today, I was on a date with this girl I actually like. The date was going really well and it seemed like it would be a good night. While in the movie theater, I went to hold her hand and instead she gave me a hand shake and said, "You're so funny, I'm so glad we're friends". FML
Today, I went on a movie date with a guy. He brought his mom. FML
Pleased to meet y'all
Today, I took a girl on a date. Her and her imaginary friends. FML
Today, I was on a date with a girl I've had feelings for since I was 14 (I'm 22). I took her out to dinner, then to a movie that we both liked and had a few drinks afterwards. I thought it was going really well until I was driving her home and she asked to be dropped off at her boyfriend's house. FML
Today, my girlfriend and I went to the cinema. Or rather, she went with her other boyfriend, and I happened to see them there. FML
Today, I watched "The Vow" with my girlfriend. When the movie ended, we walked out to the theatre's lobby, and I heard her mutter, "I deserve a guy like him." FML

If she's a mature woman she would appreciate you showing emotions. :)

Everybody cries, some people more than others, and like #1 said there is no shame. If it wasn't meant to happen we wouldn't have emotions or tear ducts.

I didn't cry. I have no soul.
softball_nerd_24 10
Well if she didn't cry, then there's something wrong with her. Keep your head up, bro.
Schizomaniac 24
Correct, #32. Everybody cries. *pops Vicodin and limps away*

In all honesty I'll tear up/cry if a favorite character from a tv show dies..
GentlemanBastard 15
Hah! #55 wins. I love a good House reference
CerSpence 11
Ok, not going to lie here. I'm a football player, don't generally consider myself a sensitive person, but the scene where Augustus Waters dies, I balled like a child.

#112 - Umm, spoiler alert. Good thing I have no intention of seeing the movie. Too depressing.

I agree, there's definitely no shame in that. my boyfriend and I saw it together and we both bawled our eyes out so I feel ya, OP.

In reference to #39, if you watched TFIOS and didn't cry, you have no soul. No shame in crying just because you're a dude! :D

Definitely no shame in it. I bawled my eyes out while reading the book. It's a very good story so you're bound to be invested.

So true

Ummm, not a spoiler when it was a book first. Just saying.
Arthurie 30
174 - Just because it was a book first doesn't mean the movie's scene reveals aren't spoilers. To those who haven't watched the movie nor read the book, it's giving something away within the story and thus, a "spoiler."
QueenofWheels 13
I didn't see the movie. I plan on reading the book some day. Not shocked nor has it spoiled it for me that in a book about cancer somebody dies. Would have been more shocked if nobody died.

I loved the book and the movie was pretty amazing as a film adaption. I cried a lot during both haha xD no shame

The most attractive men are those who can be open about their emotions. Totally agree.

That book can make you really emotional. I finished it in my first period class and had to try not to fall apart from the ending.
tuxedoandex 28
The movie is even more saddening because graphic representation.

Lol ******

#4- you are such an asshole.
hicaduda 8
That means you have a heart. Like #1 said, no shame in that.
popprock 13
I'd much rather have a guy that shows he has emotions rather than none. And besides how can you not cry in that movie?! She must have seen it before.
onlychildFTW 34
I didn't cry. I don't cry. I don't know why. I just am not very emotional with anything really. I guess I'm just weird.
pinkster2014 25
Yeah, same as #157- I don't cry during movies, no matter how sad it may be... that's just how I am
justmeCee 16
Or read the book. I cried when I read it but didn't cry when I seen the movie because I already knew how the story went.
Adam5858 17
Well, you better hope she finds that nice, amusing or lovable.Or else it could be an awkward relationship
magikarpsmurfs 19
Don't worry op most girls love a sensitive kinda guy.
TaylorWhiteGirl 15
Yeah, my bf cries more than I do during movies and I have no problem with it.
cryptic26 12
In verifying degrees. Yes, most woman do want some what of a sensitive guy, just can depend on their level case by case. And I have to agree my ex would cry more than me. Normally wouldn't be an issue like with OP's movie, but sometimes he would with little silly things and he would call me heartless occasionally to make himself better. Like the Incredibles, great movie, but enough said. Had to promise never to tell about that one. :) It was funny because he was a big guy too. The tougher they are the more sensitive, they say.
magikarpsmurfs 19
Well said! I have no problem being sensitive towards women I'm with, while I maintain a certain level of masculinity. It's like the best of both worlds!
ImmaAstronomer 3
Don't worry, you just felt differently than her.
sweetest_jenn 18
She probably feared ruining her mascara/makeup and leaving a bad impression or looking silly. These are things women worry about when going on dates. That being said, maybe a tearjerker isn't a good movie choice for a first date, OP.
melacortez 11
It's okay to cry !!
jaredofmo 22
But it's not okay to die.
Melix 31
Okay? Okay.
GeekyGeese 7
don't worry, I even start to cry just thinkinh about the book. I think it said more about her then you ;)
sig4life 18
If it seems that everyone cries, and this movie really brings it out. Tear Jerker and all, I think it says a lot more about her than him. This may be one of those evil women your father warned you about.
VeganVampyre 27
I didn't really cry watching that movie. I teared up a bit, but I didn't find the movie to be nearly as emotional as the book. OP's date could be the same, she just preferred the book to the film.
ItsATwinThing 9
I didn't cry in the film. I had a few lumps in my throat at certain scenes but the book had me crying. My sister hasn't read the book and she cries watching a lot of movies but didn't even cry watching the film which is REALLY odd.
