Today, I went into a gynecology appointment to find out my IUD had apparently fallen out without me knowing. What tipped me off? My pregnancy test. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Surprise!
Today, I went in to the doctor's thinking I had a bladder infection. I walked out knowing I'm pregnant. FML
Too little, too late
Today, I went to the health department to get on some birth control. I left the health department without birth control, and with the news that I'm pregnant. FML
Busted
Today, after taking a pregnancy test and carefully disposing of all the evidence so no one would find out, I realized I left the receipt for it on the bathroom counter. I noticed too late as I watch my mom step out of the bathroom, and my step-father go in right after. FML
Today, I found out that I'm pregnant. I had an IUD put in two years ago that's supposed to prevent pregnancy. To put it in perspective, less than 1% of people using this IUD get pregnant. Lucky me. FML
Late arrival
Today, I went to the store to go buy a pregnancy test because my period was 7 days late. I get home, go into the bathroom, pull down my underwear, pee and come to find out I'd started my period when I looked at it after peeing on it. FML
Yeetus
Today, I went to the doctor's office for a minor cold, and left with a diagnosis of pregnancy. FML
Yeet it
Today, I finally had my doctor's appointment to get my tubes tied. I've been waiting for 2 years. Instead, I found out that my birth control failed and I'm pregnant. FML
Good or bad news?
Today, I decided I was gonna take a pregnancy test after being two months late. I bought two because I was sure it would give me a positive. That same night I got my period. FML
Today, I was at my boyfriend's house, in the bathroom. I noticed a pregnancy test in the trash can. He lives alone. FML
Today, at 6 weeks pregnant, I went to the ER in the middle of the night for severe abdominal pain, fearing an ectopic pregnancy. Turns out it was just a wayward turd. FML

After 12 years and my second IUD, I've never once been able to find or feel the strings!!!! I just don't have periods, so I assume it's working. So not her fault. I wish you the best of luck in whatever choice you make OP!

The gynecologist must have confirmed what she should have known from checking the strings, like every woman who gets an IUD is taught and told to do at least monthly, if not weekly. OP should have been checking, so she would have known unprotected sex with her partner wasn't safe. Not knowing when it falls out is one thing. Not following doctor's orders and checking to see if it's in place is just asking for trouble. Clearly.

I've had my IUD for 12 years and have never ever even once been able to find or feel them. It's so not her fault!

Your gynecologist would have taught you how to examine whether or not it's in place after it was put in. Sucks that you're preggo when you clearly didn't wan't too be, but YDI for not following your doctor's orders on it.

Mine didnt either time. Some dont bother telling you to check. Husband hit it a fair amount of times for me to know it was there so I never bothered checking.

You had a very neglectful gynecologist, then. Had your IUD fallen out because you didn't know to check it and you got pregnant, you actually could have sued that individual.

Like your Mom was? Then she let you come to term, gotta say, shes got the same hope as Robert Midgely. And roughly the same effect on the world.
