Today, I finally worked up the courage to ask my crush to a movie. What I didn't realise is that she would bring a "friend" along, and that I would have to sit next to them making out for 2 hours. FML

Today, my two friends and I went to the movies. One of my friends brought my crush. They started making out, leaning over the armrest, until they were practically in my lap. Saliva got on my arm. FML
Today, I asked a buddy of mine if he wanted to go see a movie. He said he was busy, so I decided to go alone. Midway through, the couple behind me was making out and kicking my seat. I turned around, and it's my ex-girlfriend making out with my buddy. FML
Today, I took my crush to see a movie. During the movie, I made a move and put my arm around her. As I reached over, my hand went straight into the popcorn tub, and I knocked it over. It spilled everywhere, all over her lap, all over me, and on the floor. I spent the next 15 minutes trying to clean up, while she awkwardly avoided eye contact. FML
Today, I finally mustered up the guts to ask this girl I like to dinner and a movie. She agreed on the terms that she could bring someone, and I'd said it wouldn't be a problem. When I met up with her a few hours later, I found out she'd brought her boyfriend. FML
Today, I went to the movies with my friend and two pretty girls. During the movie, he made out with both of them, while I sat there awkwardly and watched the movie. FML
Today, I went on what I thought was a solo outing with my longtime crush. He decided to invite a friend along. I had to pick her up half an hour away from town, he treated her to the movie we were watching while I had to pay for myself, he fingered her in the theatre, and made out with her on the drive home. FML
Today, I went to the movies. A really cute girl sat beside me. I tried to strike up a conversation with her until she turned to look at me and I realized he was a guy. I couldn't even finish the movie because I felt his judging eyes burn holes into me the entire time. FML
Today, I asked my crush if she wanted to see a movie with me. She said no because she already saw it. The movie is coming out next week. FML
Today, I went to see a movie with 4 friends. I didn't realize that I was the only one who didn't have a date. The theater row had just enough room for everyone but me, I got to sit in back of everyone else while they were making out in front of me for 2 hours. FML
Today, I finally got the courage to make a move on the guy I've been crushing on. I asked him if he would like to go see a movie with me. He answered, "Sorry, I've already seen it." I didn't even mention any particular movie. FML

OP doesn't mention paying... OP: if you want a date, have the balls to ask someone clearly on a date. No pansy-ass "erm have you seen that movie" let's-hang-as-friends-but-actually-it-might-be-a-date bullshit. I often tried worming my way into dates like that, but when you play the "possible friend" you should expect the friendzone.

Maybe OP didn't want to pressure her with a full date, but would hope she liked/started liking him back. And I know that can sound like complete bullshit, but it's a hell of a lot better than expecting friemdzone.

#90, I don't know, I find it inconsiderate that she apparently invited someone without OP knowing about it (if someone invites you somewhere, you should always be polite and ask if you can bring someone else along). And I find it even more inconsiderate that after being invited somewhere, this person completely ignored OP to make out during the whole movie. Date or not, that seems pretty rude.

#36 well, I took a girl that I liked to the homecoming dance last year and she decided to be a bitch and bring her friend too and then ditch me to run around with her friend. She had the balls to ask me if I could buy a ticket for her friend ( which for a couples ticket it was $30, a singles ticket was $20) the night before the dance. Only reason I still went was because I already bought the tickets for us and I didn't have anyone else to go with. Added to all this is the fact that she was from a rival school.

It still seems rude to bring a third wheel along without asking. I mean, if someone invited you to go somewhere and you wanted to bring along another person, it just seems considerate to make sure the person that asked you is ok with it.
