Today, I went in for an audition. Since my wrist had been in a brace all week, I felt I would be fine without it for one day because I didn't want it to be a distraction. I tripped in the middle of the dance routine and crashed on top of my injured wrist. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I twisted my ankle and fractured my wrist while dancing. I audition for a performing arts school in one week. FML
Today, I injured my knee during dance class. When it started to feel a little bit better, I tried dancing again. I tripped, fell, and broke my wrist. FML
Today, during dress rehearsal before the show, I came in with crutches pretending I broke my leg as a joke. I then threw away the crutches, laughed and then fell down some stairs. I am now in crutches with a broken leg. I was the lead. FML
Today, I was in a play and had a battle scene. I got a little too into it and wound up twisting my ankle. The audience was treated to me screaming like a little girl before face-planting the stage a moment later. FML
Carry that weight
Today, I was getting up from sitting on the floor. I lent on the coffee table to help support my weight and heard a pop. I'd bruised the tendons in my wrist and now have to wear a wrist guard for 6 weeks. FML
Today, I sprained my ankle at dance class. No, I wasn't dancing when I did it. I was trying to step off from a small mat so I could go home. FML
Klutz
Today, my klutziness reached a new level. I was walking down a flight of stairs, sneezed, and proceeded to fall down, scraping the crap out of my knees and spraining my dominant wrist. FML
Hope there's no dancing involved
Today, I fell on a crack in the pavement and broke my ankle. Next week, I'm supposed to fly interstate to be on a quiz show I've spent two years in the audition process for. FML
Today, my mom told me to break a leg before performing in my dancing school's show. I really did break part of my leg while performing. FML
Today, I slipped on the wet floor at work and sprained my wrist badly. I was carrying the wet floor sign so no one would slip. FML

You're doing it all wrong, OP. You're supposed to break a *leg.*

Why the hell would you think dancing with a sprained/broken wrist without a cast is a good idea? YDI

I agree. There is a reason doctors give orders for a reason. I doubt the doctor said "oh wear it for a week, it'll be fine".

I don't think OP would've necessarily thought it was a good idea. I think they were probably just hoping for the best because clearly the audition meant a lot to them to go ahead with it despite an injury. A lot of people will go ahead with a physical activity that is important to them despite being injured and knowing it's risky.

I do agree 12 because I don't think people think farther ahead about what they do now could potentially cause it to not heal properly. They don't know the consequences of not listening to someone with years of schooling.

Well maybe the doctor told op that it would be okay after a certain while and was wrong? I recently fractured my wrist and the doctor let me play with a cast on. Turns out, playing caused my fracture to worsen and I just recently had to get a screw put it.

I don't think OP's doctor did okay for them to take it off, especially for something like this. And what if OP injured it even worse, effectively ending their dance career? Serious injuries can end dance careers way too soon. OP, you should’ve worn the brace during your audition or just cancelled it altogether. There will be other auditions, but only if you don't cause injuries to be worse, especially to the point where you can't even dance professionally anymore.

It's break a leg not a wrist, but as a fellow actor I hope you still got in!

Pretty sure OP is a dancer, not an actor.

I've done play auditions that involve dance numbers, you meet as a group with the dance instructor and she'll give certain movies for you to perform and she wants to see how well you'll do.
